AMAZING Indonesian sate (satay) TASTY Indonesian street food in Jakarta (Es podeng/ Gorengan)

- Indonesian Sate is one of the most famous dishes from Indonesia and it is indeed worth it to try.
In this Episode we are exploring more of the Indonesian Street Food in Jakarta.
At first we had some Indonesian Sate Ayam (Chicken Satay) at the Sate Ayam dan Kambing RSPP H. Romli. Unfortunately the Sate Kambing (Goat Sate) was already sold out so we just got the sate ayam (chicken satay). The Sate is served in a lot of peanut sauce, the sauce is slightly salty and sweet but the nuts are still dominant. The chicken is not dry but juicy, i loved it. We also ordered some lontong (rice cake) with it which was a perfect fit with the Sate Ayam.
After the first dish I was still quite hungry and looked for some kind of street food dessert in the Area of Blok M. We found Gorengan which were Tempe, Tofu, Chilis and Bakwan (vegetable fritters).
But that wasn't the kind of street food dessert I hoped for so I was still looking and there it was: Es Podeng.
I never tried Es Podeng but this one was Perfection in one Cup, As I enjoyed the Es Podeng I was wondering why this is not rewarded with a Michelin Star because every ingredient in it had the right to be here and was in perfect harmony with the rest of it, definitely my favourite Indonesian Street Food Dessert in Jakarta.

Ive been to singapore, malaysia and ofcourse indonesia. Indonesian sate is for sure superior to singapore and malaysian sate. I ate at lau pa sat and many other location in sg. I tried almizan in JB. From the meat, marinade, peanut sauce and the rice cake. Every single item tastes better in indonesia.

@@carlosliwang2518 Not sour. More like a precautionary message. I ever read a news that tourists unknowingly consumed dog meats from street stalls before. Only the locals know how to differentiate.
@@SuccessforLifester in this context so unnecessary to mention. Again i was just saying the sate is better. Its like when someone says the nasi lemak in malaysia is better than in SG. To which one responds, yeah well in SG at least we know the kitchens in general are cleaner than in malaysia. That information is here nor there. Totally unnecessary. Its childish.
If the video was about chicken rice, i would have said the exact same thing, except that the best chicken rice is in SG. No side information needed.
And foremost its the way you said it. "At least"
If it were genuinely a precautionary message, u couls have said it differently.
@@carlosliwang2518 I wouldn't make that comparison. I would have said well at least I will not find a cockroach in the Nasi lemak in Singapore. I will not jump to talk about the kitchen. Only one of childish mindset would suddenly talk about the kitchen. The subject matter is still with regards to Nasi lemak. And in this case, the subject matter is on satay. There is a chance of eating satay from dog meat in Indonesia. This is totally a relevant comment. It might taste good, but you might be eating dog meat. I would rather have something not as good in Singapore and Malaysia and have the peace of mind that I will not be eating dog meat.

Jadi punya cerita ni tentang sate.ketika saya di kunjungi teman dari Bangladesh dan taiwan juga mesir mereka begitu terpesona dgn Indonesia kususnya kota Jakarta.terlebih lagi ketika q kenalkan mereka sma sate...omg.....makanya banyak bgt malah nambah nasi sama sate nya wowww dia bilang sate paling enak yg pernah mereka makan di dalam hidup nya.😁😁😁

1. Sate sapi pak kempleng di Ungaran, kab.semarang (beef satay)
2. Sate Blora di kab. Blora ( chicken satay)
3. Sate ambal, di kab. Kebumen (chicken satay with sambal tempe)
3. Sate kambing Bu Bejo di kota solo(Surakarta) , pilih sate buntel.( Lamb satay)
4. Sate BangJo di randudongkal , kab. Pemalang (lamb satay)
5. Sate Batibul di Slawi , kab. Tegal (lamb satay)

BuleKulineran di puri indah (jakarta barat) eike tinggal tulis aja di google sate ipeka puri, nanti kuncul di google walau nama satenya bukan itu.. ahahah..
BuleKulineran bumbu satenya lebih enak di sini, kalau di tmpt yg eike makan kurang enak bumbu nya.. karena menurutku sate madura itu faktor yang paling penting adalah peanut sauce nya..

Did you notice the peanut sauce? That kind of dressing can be found in many indonesian dishes, eg: gado2, ketoprak, siomay, batagor, etc. we love our peanut sauce so much 🤘🏿😎
