- Train With 5 Locomotives In Tipp City, Ohio. Almost Street Running Train With "Do Not Hump" Boxcar In Crowded Residential City. This Huge CSX Train Is In Troy Ohio. Old Baltimore And Ohio Railroad Color Position Lights Still In Use! Tipp City Looks Like An HO Scale Model Train Layout Come To Life. Several Railroad Crossings Included With 4 Trains Total.
It's been a long time since I was in Tipp City, Ohio. There is an abandoned railroad track that was being removed the last time I was there. The rails have now been removed and the historic B&O dwarf signal is now gone. It was in my last video from Tipp City. The first two trains are next to an old signal that is still in use with a building next to it that is just like one on my train layout. My model train layout is junk at the moment so it won't be in any videos. The first train is a southbound manifest train with 5 locomotives. This is a power move. The second train is a northbound auto racks train.
Next we go a couple blocks north to see another B&O color position light and the abandoned track that is being removed. A southbound grain train passes the railroad crossing that has only a cross buck on one side and gates and flashers on the other side.
The 4th train is in Troy, Ohio which is on the same CSX line and only a few miles north. This is an intermodal train with a boxcar on the front that says "Do Not Hump". This is a track geometry boxcar that has sensitive equipment that can not be pushed over a hump in a freight yard. Check out the street that this train is running right next to. This is almost a section of street running. A few houses face the tracks with perfect views of the trains. This is one of my favourite areas to visit. That intermodal train was huge! Look how long it took to pass.
This video also shows a goal that Lillia got in her soccer game that was played in Troy, Ohio. They lost 2 to 1 but she has a five game streak going with a goal in each game. This team doesn't do as well as her inside team. We had two games in Tipp City on Saturday and one game in Troy on Sunday. In between games I was able to get some trains so look for another video from here soon.
Filmed Saturday, May 18, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!
Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel.

That "DO NOT HUMP" car has some sensitive electronic track sensors that do not like being pushed off a hump and crashing into other cars 1/2 mile away.
Yes, well said
@@JawToothI was Driving that Train with the Do Not Hump car lol 😅
To the unfamiliar, humping in railyards is how they reassemble new trains ❤ ( consists )
Thank you for the quick response. I’m retired and rely on TH-cam for all my entertainment.
Your videos mean a lot to me. Thank you for your efforts.
👍🏼
You are so welcome! I appreciate your support
Tipp City, you're right up the road from Huber Heights - beep next time and I'll wave!
Thanks for watching!
Tippacanoe and Tyler too.
Good job Lilly... I saw you get a goal.
She really likes soccer a lot
@@JawTooth being active like that will keep her health up to par.
Magnificent catches of the trains coming by and pass at the railroad crossing in Tipp City, i love it 5 stars.
Keep up the perfect work, Brian, you did this video on my birthday, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
thanks for watching my videos all the way in Portugal! I wish I could visit there someday
Happy belated birthday for the 18th 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
@@JawTooth you will enjoy watching the trains in my country.
Do not know about some of you but I love watching these trsins passing through small cities znd towns. It brings back days when trains were king in travel. It is relaxing and calming. Ninety percent of my viewing us at night as U relax in bed. So, keep ‘um coming.
The train with 5 engines, there were 140 or 141cars. One of my mom's friends was a retired railroad engineer and took me to the round house where I got to go inside the cabs of a few trains and a big fan snow blower engine. It was a dream come true for me. Thanks for sharing the videos with us. When I was a kid. There was always a caboose at the end of the train. I miss that.🙂👍🚂
My Mom was born and raised in Tipp City. The train went right through my Grandma's back yard. At 31:10 you see that tan colored house. The last derailmant we had in Troy, landed a box car on that porch. Also, I got a HUGE thrill the day Jaw Tooth did this video. We were crossing the railroad, and there stood Jaw Tooth along the railroad doing a video. I whipped the car around and we jumped out to meet him. Likely freaked him out and probably ruined his video. 😁
That was a wonderful train crossing at the beginning with nice scenery there in Ohio and the other trains going through in Tipps
and the exciting soccer game clips in Troy, also an appearance by
the live action pets and the train slide show of course thanks again
and take care Jaw Tooth.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
Thank you very much!
Always a nice sight of trains going through old parts of towns. The brick buildings were pretty close to the tracks. thanks for the tour
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome train day between games & neat towns.
We also had a game on Sunday in Troy so I will have a video there too
You capture some good and interesting trains Mr JT.❤ That double stack train was one of the longest I ever saw. Wow!😊 Sweet Loki. Love them. Enjoyed this thanks.❤😊
Thank you very much!
Tipp city very nice wow that’s a good train with 5 locomotives never seen one with 5 or more locomotives they are booking son
Your videos, Señor Jaws, just solidified my decision to buy my airline tickets from Puebla, México in order to vacation in Tipp City, Ohio. I'll probably have to change planes once or twice. Your train locations highlight life in old mid-America USA are wonderful. Gracias. RT sends/envía, Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México...
Thanks! It is a great place to visit and they have some big parks also. Thanks for watching!
Good Morning Brian.
Morning!
Good morning I enjoyed that video👍👍
Thanks London!
THIS is a GREAT video, Jaw Tooth! It’s too bad that old section of track and the dwarf signal are gone, but those old buildings with the block facades beside that first train are COOL. It sure DOES look like a cool HO train layout. The old freight depot sure is nice, too! This video is a collection of treasures. I even think that the front locomotive with the “DO NOT HUMP” boxcar gave those children down the block a little train horn salute!
Oh, and nice goal, Lillia! Well done!
Thank you very much!
The cute lady crossing the track at 27:56 mark. 😍
I need to get my eyes checked. How did I miss her? lol
That was a very good show! Thanks
J.T.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow that 5 engine train was cool, you always do such a awesome job JT👍👍

Tipp City looks like a nice small town. Great work Jaw Tooth.
Thanks!
That was an extremely long intermodal! I'm surprised it didn't have a DPU or two. Fabulous train, JT!! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Tipp City, Ohio, I like that place and the trains, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Thank you very much! I will have a video from Troy Ohio also
@@JawTooth Nice.
That gorgeous brick building could be my railfan shack anytime. I'd be in heaven!
That would be cool
Great Video, Jaw Tooth. Lilly way to go, girl. Keep those goals climbing. Great job. Robert
Thanks for watching!
Five locomotives ,that was a good one, yes!❤
Thank you very much!
An awesome mixed freight to start with JT! Fantastic catch. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

@@JawTooth You're quite welcome, JT!
First train had a CNW boxcar and a all BN coilcar, second train had 1 BN autorack, the grain train had a ex-Rock Island and Milwaukee Rd hoppers on it.
Great video JawTooth 🚆🚂🚃🚆
Great to see the old position lights 🚥

5 engines for one train..I really like watching train videos
Thank you very much!
Super neat video! Best part was you catching Lilith's goal. Sorry if I messed up the spelling. Congrats to her! Like the street running train in Troy. Good engineer. He not only gave you a salute but also the kids in the next block gone one! Nice little towns you visited!
I loved to see long train and Lilia's goal! Thanks so much Brian for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
@@JawTooth You're welcome
That was a great video JT and tip Ohio and I like the way it looked when those trains was going through those trees. It looked like they were going through a tunnel but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one.
Thanks Timmy! I will have another one from Troy soon with 9 locomotives. Today I caught the CCET
Liked that signal next to the building. Great video
Thanks 👍
Thats awesome that those old signals were still being used Brian. Its awesome to see that some old relics are still working today.
Thanks 👍
That was a long inter modal train with a boxcar that said DO NOT HUMP on it nice catch JT 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Always good to see Troy! I think I've said it here before that I spent some time at the Hobart facility back in '91 & '92, was there 3 times (about 2 months total) for service training on all the Hobart foodservice equipment used in bakeries, restaurants, and schools. Went to the first Wal*Mart I ever saw there, long before they went nationwide. Also went to a Meijier's Superstore just after it opened there, very impressive store. Nice area!
Awesome video jawtooth!
Thanks!
Awesome location Jawtooth! The old Depot is beautiful! Great catches there!👍
Thanks a lot!
Hey jaw tooth looks like a nice city. Glad you got some trains. Great to see old B&O signals in use . Hope Lilly had great time playing soccer. Have a great railroad day.🙋♀️🚂
Thanks 👍
Thanks for your five locomotive 🚂 lead, wow that's a narrow rail corridor even for a single track.
Love those old signals 🚦🚥and 582 axle count.⏰🎰
Sorry to hear your daughter lost her game of soccer.
Better luck next time, carry on railfanning ❤👌👍🍻🚜📸📺🐓🐴
Thanks for watching! Her indoor soccer team does better. She is also going to be on the high school team next year
Cool depot and signal lights. 😎 😎😎❤️❤️❤️!
Yes they are!
Great blend of long trains and town views. The perfect videos!
..and well done for the girls in green.
I hope they won their game!
Best regards from Sydney. ⚽
Thank you very much!
HI JT another amazing video thanks and greetings from Scotland 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@JawTooth As always JT thanks 😊👍
Thank you so much, I like Ohio. I live in Baltimore, I love how you are a positive fellow, and show support for family. My neice is good at softball (we love Baseball in Baltimore), and the other one live horseback riding. Its about as Maryland as it gets. I love that they got the same round signals there as here. Thanks again. Live Christ is your heart forever.
That is awesome! I have been to Maryland and it is a great state. Thanks for watching and God Bless!
🌸
👩🏽🦰
👚👍🏾I Love Soccer! ⚽️
👖and Trains!!!!! Yes!!!
I was lucky that I had both in the same area. Thanks for watching! Soccer is awesome
Nice to see an old C&NW boxcar on train 1
A BN coil car @ 3:42! I don't believe it!!!! What a catch!
Thanks for watching!
Amazing video! I really enjoy the places where you catch some great live action railroading.
Thank you very much!
I love this place JT, it's beautiful & the trains fly through here! I love the name Tipp city as well its so quirky. Pity that small signal gone I remember that from last time. Tell Lillia to have more soccer games here so you can do some more filming & congrats to her for her goal fest! 🎉❤😊👍
Thanks for watching! I hope she gets more games there. We have some coming up in Indiana near Indianapolis and there are a bunch of other ones. She is also going to be on the high school team
@@JawTooth you must be so proud! She's a good player hope she keeps it up as she gets older. Great trains isn't there in Indiana JT! 🥰👍
Another grand video JT, you sure show some places I’d be happy to live in.
Thanks 👍
Awesome video. That first one might have been power moves with 5 engines. The intermodel was a great. May not have won the game but at least she got a goal awesome. Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Great point! She just enjoys playing. Her indoor team wins about half of their games but her outside team rarely wins. She is going to get on the high school team soon. Thanks again for the gas money Mark! I really appreciate your support. I will have a video soon with 9 locomotives on the front, doing a power move
@JawTooth your welcome, Brian. I saw a video that was all engines, a bnsf power move, and it had I think 30+ engines, the front engine was running with a rear dpu. It was awesome. Congrats on her going into high school. I wanted to play on the school soccer team, but I chickened out , I was afraid of getting bullied if I didn't do well. Hind sight, I would've excelled on defense.
Oops! I really have a case of fat fingers today, and I apologize for the unfinished comments. I'll chat with you later. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Tipp City just has that certain feel to it as one of the more prosperous small towns in Ohio and that brick building just has a certain warmth and a nice tidy Depot Garden Park. The tracks in both towns however are being encroached by trees and bushes and could use a trimming. Great freights as always with older vintage cars esp the green CNW boxcar and the BN autorack and coil car. Also great timing so that you got back in time to see Lily score a goal at the game. So it looks like the next time anyone passes through Tipp City make it a point to tip your hat and like their salutes said. "How dee!"
Another great video! Jaw Tooth = the best! Thank you so much for sharing! 😃
Thanks for watching!
Awesome catches! Spectacular video JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thank you very much!
Cool catch on operational B & O CPL’s! How about that Milwaukee Road covered grain hopper still in use! Grain train for the win!
Another great video, Jaw Tooth. I've been a subscriber for a few years and the quality of your videos and shots just gets better and better. Really cool trains you captured today. I love the dialog about signals and historical stuff in between the trains too. God bless you, buddy. Numbers 6:24-26.
The flat cars that have a container on top of another one are called 'Piggy Backs'. There were 210 cars with that train.😯 Way over a mile long.
Happy Hump day.. Stay safe everyone..
Thanks you too
Thanks for watching!
Thank you. You also
Good intelligent run from the throw-in by Lily to get in the position to score the 2nd goal.
Very nice sharing ...So nice *
Thank you so much 🙂
Every time I see updated train buildings I want to see what it looked like before. That includes track.
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
You caught some good trains in Tipp City and Troy, Ohio. Those Baltimore & Ohio Railroad color position signals are great to see. I hop0e that the position signals are around for some time to come. I did some research on the "DO NOT HUMP boxcar that appeared at 21:28. I found photographs of three cars that are waffle-sided boxcars numbered 994370, 994371, and 994372. There may be more of these cars. I could not determine what the number is on the car in your video.
Thanks for the info. The number on the car in my video is 994370. I was able to enlarge and slow down the original video
Thank You Jaw Tooth! Catch of the day, I Say
Nicely done,,thanks for sharing..😊
Thanks for watching
This was a great video 👍. I’m originally from Hardin County, Ohio but now live in Union County, Ohio.
Thanks for watching!
Saw a lot of great places to live along those tracks, you could have some great views.
I want to buy a piece of property in the country by the tracks that I could camp on
The grain train was fairly long for being loaded. It followed a similarly long loaded auto rack. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Pretty soon I will be filming long grain trains on the CCET when Purina opens
@@JawTooth Cool 😎!
I wonder what those graffiti artists would say if somebody sprayed graffiti on the side of their cars and houses. Most of the graffiti just looks like crap, but every once in a while you do see something that is really a work of art, like that full autorack side work. Great work catching those trains as they went through, giving excellent views of Tipp City. I've really enjoyed this video. Also, congrats to Lillie for scoring those goals.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
In Tipp City, I found it odd that on the tangent track, the wheels were really 'squeeking'.
Also - with the articulated intermodals - it seems there's only the 3-unit cars. Do you recall ever videoing a 5-unit articulated one?
Great video as always, JT!! Thank you!!
"God is with those who invite Him"
Interesting! I have filmed the 2 and 3 unit auto racks but I dont think I have seen a 5 unit
Hope we (we, as in me being included by watching your videos) can see a five unit sometime.
Once in a while I watch other TH-cam channels, and I have yet to see a 5-unit in any video.
Hey, your in my neck of the woods!
I live about 2 miles from here, up on the ridge & I hear everyone of these train whistles.
I didn't know if anyone knew this or not, but a train whistle becomes a conductor's signature.
They each blow their whistles differently. I've heard these trains coming through here for decades. ❤
Nice area! Thanks for watching
I love your videos jawtooth your the best
Wow, thanks!
good, I hope Lilly has fun with her soccer game.
Wow, that container train was a *LONG* one given it only had two locomotives for motive power.
Great catches awesome capture and nice video brian
Thank you very much!
That train with the "Do not hump" car had to have come west here to Chicago to CSX Bedford Park. I seen those same two motors and boxcar there today when i was yarding and picking up cars from the BRC clearing yard there.
Interesting!
Good stuff Jawtooth!
Thanks!
Omg Brian seeing those old colored position lights was awesome thank you😊..... With that siding being taken out it made me think what's the oldest track you've ever seen and where was it?
You are so welcome. I can show you rail dated in the 1898 area right now still in use in a few locations
That's was amazing thanks JT
Glad you enjoyed it
What a nice town ❤
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Great video. Cool towns.

😅nice town Tip,its tiptop okikidooo.😂long trains again.thanks for the coool video Brian.🤣greetz:🍐Peer en Tony,its the 23th here birdsday. 68 yaers young.😅
Did you say tomorrow is Tony's birthday? If so tell her I said happy birthday
@@JawTooth 😅i wil do that. its a big 10-4.lol.😅👍👍👍👍
Cool. Sounds. Lot. Fun
Thanks for watching!
Good to see the B&O signal is still there. Is the siding still there north of the signal? I think the nearest passing siding to the south is at Taylorsville park in Vandalia and north is in Troy.
The siding is gone and like you said the nearest are Vandalia and Troy.
Good Wednesday morning Brian, what’s the most engines you ever seen on a train? Awesome video buddy, have a good day 🙏🏻
Not sure but I think 14. I'm thinking on it right now lol. I did get a train the next day with 9
@@JawTooth would you happen to have a video of that train ? I’d like to see it if it’s possible.
That first train was impressive.(The videos are always impressive). But I wonder:While 140 cars is a long one, did they really need5 of tose big 6 axle numbers when 3 might have had enough power?
No, they weren't using all of them. They were doing a power move
Generally if you see more than three locomotives on a train, anything past the third unit is just along for the ride being transported to where its needed. You can tell better when watching with headphones on, the coasting units become much more apparent as their engines (prime movers) aren't running.
V12 Productions did a short showcase on that boxcar with "Do Not Hump".
Cool, I might have to learn something
Thx
thanks for watching!
Beautiful horns!
Indeed!
