With Capcom having a lot of success with the crossplay integration in Street Fighter 6, and the positive feedback they got with that, as well as limited crossplay in Rise, I think that not having it in wilds would be a huge misstep and could hurt the features of the game. I would love to play with the other platforms. Edit: after finishing the video, just wanna add that PlayStation is playing nice with allowing crossplay in SF6 and Capcom has the infrastructure and resources to make it happen. So I’m hopefully optimistic about it.

I am a dedicated MH and Soulsborne player, so I hope Elden Ring DLC keeps me busy till MH Wilds is being dropped. Hell yeah can`t wait I just play both of the best world. ;)

I’ve been on a Monster Hunter break myself as of late for games like ff14 and Stellar Blade, but I can see myself hoping back on titles like GU and Rise to get myself excited for more news about Wilds or just having some fun hunting with mates. Sorry I can’t hunt with you on streams due to playing on console Tera, but I hope that they have been doing well for you.

I really hope they make it easier to play through the story with friends, the cutscene issue in world really screwed the multiplayer experience for me.
I honestly can't wait for wilds me as an xbox player my first game was world and it really opened me up to monster hunter then i played rise and now I am so excited to see they are releasing it on xbox! and i really hope there is crossplay so I hope too see you in wilds when it comes out!
if a new weapon was added... I would be happy if it was either like you said... a boxing glove style weapon that deals blunt damage or a Reaper Scythe style (if capcom is willing to go far enough to make a obvious idea steal just make a gunscythe that has ridiculous mobility similarly to MHrise gunlance.
A part of me hopes there will be crossplay so I can play with anyone who has the game. But I know Capcom has to be very careful with it because the PC version would be at the biggest risk of hacking, which could cause trouble for other consoles, even if its just "This PC player just one shot the monster" or "this PC player just hacked in the gem we were farming for".
The Wilds looks prime place for the Jhen Mohran! Loved those fights where the Guild gets involved and teamwork plays off reminds me of the old Train boss battle on Lost Planet 2. :D
Ive been a SnS main for a long time but im learning Hunting Horn, Lance and Insect Glaive in World now, and i loving it. Been playing since 3U in 3DS, cant wait til 2025.
I never had the opportunity to get into Monster Hunter Worlds back when it first released- because back than I didn't own any 8th gen consoles nor a PC good enough to run it, so I really can't wait to actually dive into a New World Monster Hunter game for the first time.

An interesting question that I've been wondering recently is since they added espinas in sunbreak does this mean we can we can likely get frontier weapons in the future maybe in wilds even? I probably doubt it but it be interesting since they added the frontier flagship monster into sunbreak

I returned to world before the wilds trailer dropped, but recently stopped playing it bc i wanna be kinda rusty for mhwilds so i can experience the learning curve again even if its a little
In the year report for FY24/3 they gave a forecast for FY25/3 with 13Million "new" unit sales. No way they hit that without releasing Wilds before the end of the fiscal year. Of course plans change, but unless the devs request a delay its coming before the end of March
I would love to see a giant kusari-gama (chain and sickle for the non-weebs) with two stances - close range sickle stance with fast slashing attacks, and a long range chain whip stance with wide arcs and slower animation. Long upward arcs to give it versatility against flying/tall monsters. High mount damage would play into the fact that it is a hook weapon. Could even just make it a weighted chain to deal blunt damage instead. I feel there is not enough blunt weapons in MH
My other weapon idea would be a combo weapon which is a staff that doubles up as a blow gun. It would share status coatings with the bow in blow gun form and could also just have a bo staff form that deals blunt damage and has a melee range similar to insect glaive. Ive always had a thing fir ninja weapons so ideas like these appeal to me. However I noticed a trend that MH weapons seems to become more steam punk when you look at weapons like Gunlance, Switch Axe and Charge Blade.
I would also design this to be primarily a melee weapon and range as a secondary, unlike the bow which is primarily range with a marginal melee attack. I'd want the blow gun form to have a very small cartridge size and would require a reload, but it would deal very high status build up. Not sure yet what mechanics could really make the staff form interesting 🤷🏾♂️

good video me and my friends are in my case replaying world the 3rd time and iceborne a second time, and most of my friends first real monster hunter experience and it's been fun. I can't wait for wilds to drop monster hunter is a game dear to me, it was my mom who introduced me to mh with 4u but didn't teach me anything and I could barely figure it out since I was like 10-11 and gave up on it but stories brought back my interest in it so picked up world played through it wanted more and played mh4u. I still prefer new worlds gameplay though but old world is alright were gonna try tri after rise, then probably take a break to play other things till we get to like the final weeks before wilds and do a pantheon of our hardest hunts through world since the gameplay in wilds should be in line with world if not improved. can't wait to see all the beautiful new greatswords.
Switch 2 is gonna be a big upgrade but even then if it can play anything releasing currently I would be shocked. I wouldent expect it until months after launch
Cross play should have option to turn off playing with PC players. You don't need cross play to play a Monster Hunter game. I hope they don't have cross play. Your either a fan or not.

If there was a ceasefire in the console wars, then pretty much every game ever would have crossplay built in from the get go these days. There’s a reason why most games these days AREN’T crossplay, just saying
Nah, there are very few. Like the ones that One Shot Alatreons. It's a PVE Game with not much incentive on cheating. If a Script Kiddie wants to progress all it needs to do is God Mode Single Player or even cheat all achievements, who cares? Those People don't want to learn the Game and never will.

They better add a tool for measuring monsters. The gold crown grind is a nightmare and imo ruins hundreds of hours out of the MH experience.
