The facial animations in 2R actually a lot better than in 4R, whenever leon got hit by enemies in 2R he shows fear and screamed while in 4R he has straight face the whole time even when his eyes gouged.

I love the RE2 and RE4 remakes so much. Haven’t played 3 yet, but I’ll be picking it up at some point. Only complaint about 4 graphically is that I feel like Leon’s face is a little too smooth / bright on his character model. He looks fine in cutscenes, but it’s kind of jarring going from those to what his face looks like in gameplay. It’s almost like there’s not enough shadowing taking place.
I thought I was the only one complaining about that, nice to see that other people noticed that Leon's face while in gameplay really needs more shadows on it

When i played RE2R i was mesmerized by the graphics and nostalgia, also we dont talk about this, but the sound on an audiophile system is incredible !! BUT RE4R IS absolutly great, like its perfect. I love it so much
It's very cool to see how Resident Evil series has been improved through decades. Definetely one of the best game series I have ever played since 2000.
Just watched a documentary about how it was built. you can be sure its going to be used for many titles. its pretty amazing how time efficient it is for developers to use hundreds of cameras instead of spending hours modeling assets for games. from the user end, I find it to be an odd resource hog (rtx is almost unusable with it) but small oddities is nothing if it means we get new RE titles as fast as we have been recently.

Somehow feel visual fidelity in RE2 and 3 remakes is a notch better than RE4 Remake. Re4 Remake has some weird inconsistencies to it's lighting and LOD management unlike RE2/3R which nails it down. RE4R could make do with a few more months of polish/overall optimization. That being said, RE4R is still a GOAT back then and GOAT today and my GOTY 2023.

They all look basically the same, which is to be expected, same engine and all... but they just look less hazy and washed out as they progress. More contrast, and color. I don't know if that was a style choice, but I do like the graphical style of RE3R the most.

Resident evil 2 remake is genuinely fear enducing, the whole way the game is made is scary. The zombies groans are some of the scariest I’ve heard, the dismemberment is the best, and mr x is terrifying. The fact zombies take a lot of bullets and the dark atmosphere makes it incredibly scary. Resi 3 remake loses nearly all of this. It’s like a toned down game in comparison. Nemesis is no where near as scary as mr x was, and the zombies no longer have that fear factor. Resi 4 remake is just an amazing game in general, and has a good level of fear, mixed with amazing level design and the most polished story and content.
RE2 remake for me. As much as I enjoyed RE4 and I will only enjoy it more as I keep playing over and over. The major gripe I have with the game is how unbalanced the final section on the island is. It also takes away from the amazing atmosphere set in the first two sections of the game.
In cutscenes his face is actually pretty detailed. But it also has to do with certain lighting conditions. The point lights in RE4 are much warmer in tone compared to RE2.

I think the Hazyness comes from the colour settings. I have mine set to HDR and the gamma and contrast bumped, and re2 looks pretty sharp.

el remake de re2 y sobre todo el re3 (me quedo con este) tiene una iluminacion modelado y texturas ultra realistas. me encanta
el re4 no me termino de convencer. desde las matices y eso colores palidos y nose no me termina de convencer

RE 8 in 3rd person, is like a bad mod.
I think it depends on the TV and the console, if it's 4 it will have a little less graphics than the PS5 console, that's my opinion, what I think
