- Join me and my lifelong friend Jeff Jarzynski, for some amazing fall Lake Erie smallmouth bass fishing with umbrella rig and reapers. The smallmouth bite on Lake Erie really begins to turn on when the water temperature hits 60 degrees and as the temp drops into the 50s it gets even better. The big smallies that have been cruising the deep drops all summer, move shallow to feed on whatever they can find. Watch as we load the boat by slowly cracking the umbrella rig over 15 to 20 feet of water and having those big thick brownies come and almost rip the rod out of hands.
Great day on the water
