For everyone going to Lima for the first time.... I go all the time. First let me correct myself. I previously wrote about taxis in the baggage area... They will hound you outside the airport for a taxi. With that said. 1. Do not exchange money at the airport. Go off-site. It will save you. 2. If you need a taxi, when you leave the baggage area, you will enter the car rental area. To the far left, there is a taxi service. Use them. 3. Sim cards for your phone.... Get off-site. It is an airport. The wifi is good until you leave the airport. 4. Leaving Lima.... Make sure you are at the airport 3 hours before. You will thank me. 5. Use your phone wisely. People will try to steal it rather you are walking or in a taxi with the window down.
65 soles is too much for a taxi to Miraflores, you can prebook online, have a driver waiting for you, safe, and pay based on size of car. You can even book roundtrip if you need it. Before covid lucky to get thru immigration in less than 2 hours. Nice vid 😊
I go to Peru next July for a birthday trip (albeit about 3 weeks late). I'll be doing a pre-trip through the Amazon rainforest and a main trip to Machu Picchu. Can't wait!!!! I try to do a big trip every couple year or so. Last one was to Jordan and Egypt...epic, except for melting the insides of my Sony digital camera :(
I think the main problem with most South American airlines in terms of pricing, is that they pay high taxes to local governments and they have debt in USD and pay high interest rates in other local currencies. I'm guessing that's also why they don't have any lowcost airlines like the US does and Europe (Ryanair etc). GOL from Brazil is somewhat lowcost but they have much higher tickets compared to Ryanair for example. They also recently entered chapter11 in the USA to try and restructure their debt.
Lima is one of South America’s hubs and it a major connecting citiy for Latam, Sky airlines. Also, Lima airport has been ranked top airport in South Amerixa for over 15 years… but you said you wouldn’t connect in Lima based on what you’ve seen.. 🤨
Scary to fly to lima , the light went off in the landing road, 25 thousand people stranded for days, nothing to eat, and nowhere to sleep, nobody takes responsibility, hundred of thousand dollars lost by fliehers. Shame on Perú.
Thank you for your presentation .

Also... if you are from America, $1 is equal to 3.65 soles. Give or take .03 soles. Just helping.

You can do the same route for 200-250. Gringo wanted to pay more of that, is fine for the airline
🎉🎉
What time did you arrived to Lima from Quito?
LATAM airline’s extremely expensive for an average airline…. yup! that sounds about right. I recommend Copa airlines to fly down South America.
🎉

I like jorge intl, easy, small, but need to be careful outside 😮
Never pay for taxi at luggage pick up.
After you leave baggage, go to car rental area. There is a counter to your far left for cab service that will save you money.
It is before you goto the greeting area.
Never exchange money at the airport. Go to a local place. You will get more for your dollar. This also goes for a Sim card for your phone.
Taxi service is in rental car area.
Yes
Very helpful video 🎉 I appreciate you sharing how long each area took. 🎉
Phillipines 🎊
