The solos are so well written and perfectly executed and the riffs are crushing. Everyone in the band is playing at a high level, definelty a contender for Album of the Year, can't wait to see them destroy live!

Taina is an awesome and humble lead guitarist, big fan of her right here. \m/m/
...and I could listen to a whole album of her "guitar interludes", like at the end of this song, or at the end of "Dark Night of the Soul". Gorgeous.
Taina's picking style is so cool to watch. She's got a similar upward angle as Martin Freedman, but uses her pinky anchored on her pickups the way John Petrucci loves to do.
When she's downpicking, it reminds me kinda of Ola, creator of the guitar she's holding also. Maybe he's an influence on her style.

Crypta is a fenomenal band and in various ways.
And one of them relates to how they master the extreme heaviness and flavour of old school Death metal, but sometimes they blend it so well with some influences of Black.
'Till now, everything they do, they really excel.
2 albums and they just fused or blend listless number of guitar techniques, tones, bridges , drum work. They set the standard high while keeping a brutal death metal identity. They indeed are innovators setting the bar high for people that want to create this kind of metal. All songs have variations in a great number of ways but all of them keep a raw death metal essence that unites them. Nothing else to ask for. This is one of the greatest album in The genre in human history. It has progressive or multi-step elements that make this album a swing of emotions. It also has trashy tempo changes that completely add a delicious element of surprise. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 🎉❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 fascinating. There also some snare modifications on Luanas kit that are breathtaking. It’s a top notch 5 star album or a perfect rounded 100% . These Brazilians mesmerized the universe with such intricate , complex and full of fluctuations or versatile (death metal, progressive , trash, black all is included) album. What a Bliss.
The members of Crypta are really good musicians. I heard their performance in Wacken last year and was a fan. Fantastic band!
How do you continue creating these inspiring sounds? Please don’t stop. We, in the USA (Unfortunate States of America), need you more than ever!

Brilliant new record! The solos on all the songs are especially outstanding.
Tainá's playing is inspiring to me. I put down the guitar about 15 years ago, playing here and there. I wish I kept with it because I can't get that time back. But...I recently picked up a practically new, but used Ibanez AZ series (AZ42P1), and a Boss Katana-50 Mk-II EX amp. Alexi Laiho's playing style really made an impression on me. I tried to learn how to play "Hold Your Tongue" from the "I Worship Chaos" album... it was difficult... to say the least. I got discouraged thinking "I'll never play like Alexi Laiho", but now that I think about it, I don't think anyone will. There are some VERY good covers out there on TH-cam. Back to Tainá, you are a legit shredder; I think I'm in love. \m/

Tainá é muito foda!! Ótimas composições. Fazia muito tempo que não ouvia algo tão bom. Os últimos álbuns que realmente me animaram ao longo do tempo que lembro de cabeça foram o Symbolic (Death), Epitath (Necrophagist), o The Concealers (Daath) e o Diluvium (Obscura). Quando descobri a existencia da Crypta com Echoes of the Soul essa animação que há muito não sentia retornou e desde então venho acompanhando a banda. E o Shades of Sorrow é uma obra de arte e já entrou na minha seleta lista de discos clássicos. Parabéns!!

Usually people don't move this much in a guitar playthrough but she's teaching a valuable lesson. "Play it like you mean it or it will not sound like you mean it."
Their first album got my attention but this one just blew me away. The leap between the two albums sounds like they're on their fourth but it's only their second; cannot wait for what they do next!

hey outside of a band like cannibal corpse this is the best old school death metal at its finest and 4 beautiful Brazilian ladies both of those albums echoes from the soul and shades of sorrow are even heavier and so much life in this record especially i hear a classic masterpiece the level of musicianship here
