Yep you got right back at them and dominated! Awesome stuff. So cool to be able to call the shot and also on BIG ones. You’re making me want to peddle the kayak out there!! Hahaha. Seriously. Thanks for the great video. That was awesome. Good luck ahead!
I just subscribed! I haven't been fishing in a good while! My family camp is at Lake Hermitage and we used to smash the specks at Manila Village and the old iron horse both places very close to Wilkinson Bay! Good shyt man
Wow, great trip! I was doing the same type of thing that day, although well north of you, in the far east Biloxi Marsh at the edge of Chandeleur Sound (Martin Island, Elephant Point Pass, Bay Boudreau, etc.) - the brown shrimp were running, birds diving, and I was catching them on every cast - 51 trout in the first hour - and not a keeper among them - and then I watched this video and about died. Great job finding some SERIOUSLY nice fish!!!
Awesome trip and I do get a few chances to hit those platforms,we just fished that area this past Friday, though we had muddy water totally unlike what ya had!!!Congrats, been itching to watch one of ya videos-got my ole SouthFork bout ready to get back out and I need conditions like what ya had that day!!
I recognize that spot well. Caught many trout there over the years. Been quite hit and miss thought the past few years with river rolling through that MG river pass. With the low river though that area will be great. Nice video!
I stand corrected-thought ya were fishing the Lake Borgne platforms-last time I fished Cocodrie wqas many, many years ago and we stayed at the Point Cocodrie Inn,not sure if that place still in business.I grew up with a guy who has built many Cocodrie camps for those folks that had the means to afford them and he built some fine camps, not sure what he is doing these days!!Dat water looks incredible and just might have to make the run down there, especially with the dirty water we have found in both Lake Borgne and Lake P!
Surprised the taxman wasn’t lurking around out there, nice day for catching some nice trout , i’ll have to wait till the fall when they come back in , until then it’s redfish time in Delacroix
Awesome! Glad to see you back at it. Did you video your turkey hunt up here? Wife and I will be down that way later this year, save some fish for me, Thanks for your vids.+
Looks like an awesome day and fish. Do you ever use any captain lanes ghost Minnows I can't say enough about them , that open box of baits in your deck was making me nervous the whole video
Awesome video brother, you gotta get you a spot lock trolling motor when have the chance. Will make life so much easier for you even though you make them pay with the set up you got now.
@@gfy777 You are definitely right about that. There are options though instead of dropping a few grand at once. I opened a credit card with zero percent interest for 15 months just to use for that trolling motor and it worked out great.
That was me that passed yall early saturday morning on st malo. I fished way up into the marsh for reds and struck out then went way far south for trout and only found small ones. I shoulda ran out into breton sound but i was almost out of gas.
I remember seeing you. We lucked out on the redfish later, but we had to weed through a bunch of undersized trout to get to the keepers. That’s part of the reason why I went south for this trip. Hang in there, I think Hopedale is about to bust open.
@@Jar_Fishing thanks, that didn’t look familiar I usually just fish Mississippi and sometimes out in the marsh and lake p. Thanks I’ve got a bunch of old fisherman watching you. We appreciate you and the way you handle yourself.!
Hells Yes. This is the first video I’ve watched on this channel.

Im late to the party. And damn, it looks like you had a good time!
Welcome back my friend, and what a way to come back with a load of big specks. God bless and see you on the next one.
That "oh, crap" at 2:20 was perfect 😂
That’s code for “I’m about to murder these fish”
Glad you’re back, great trip! I had a great turkey season here in Georgia
Thanks James! Good work on the birds.
What a great way to and the day out there fishing !! Congreats !!
Thanks Lud! I appreciate all your support. Good to be back.

Glad you are back big guy
Awesome video dude keep that hard work up!!
Much appreciated
Wow!! What a day!
Great to see you back, and slamming the trout. Hope u had good turkey season, but glad it’s over so u will do more fishing videos!))
It was a great turkey season. Scratched the itch until next March. It was great running into you in Slidell. Thanks for all the support 🦃

Those dang turkeys get in my head every year.
Good box!

Thanks John. Glad y’all get to come down. No turkey video.. I can’t have video evidence of all the hunts I screw up 😂

You’re right about spot lock. I was just talking to my dad about it. This was one case that it would have come in handy big time.
Easier said than done those things are expensive not everybody has 3 g's to drop on a trolling motor I know I dont

Nice job
dream day
What launch did you use if you don't mind me asking?

Glad you are back!
Never fished out of cocodrie. I tend to just stick to hopedale, shell beach, and delacroix these days
Me too usually. This was out of the ordinary for me. I almost went to Hopedale, but turned off South last minute.
How far is it out there to them
Awesome!! Were you in lake Borgne?
Thanks Mike! I was on the west side of the Mississippi for this one.
@@Jar_Fishing thanks, that didn’t look familiar I usually just fish Mississippi and sometimes out in the marsh and lake p. Thanks I’ve got a bunch of old fisherman watching you. We appreciate you and the way you handle yourself.!
Great video, thanks for the content sir, quick question what size is you boat?
18ft.
@@Jar_Fishing thank you, I got a 20ft last week same type of hull as you. I'm coming from a 14ft so big upgrade. Thanks again
I don't recognize that boat launch is it new?
I think they just remodeled it last year. Very nice
Jar my boat is very similar to yours and I’ve been flirting with Breton sound out of hopedale but haven’t had too much success. Ever go that way?
I usually stick much closer to the marina. This was a rare thing for me.
Same here . However The amount of tiny trout in hopedale is forcing me further and further out . Awesome video
Sickk
is that buras?? delta marina??
