How easy is it to install a new 10 year battery smoke detector?

- This is my unboxing, and how to install the Kidde Code One 10-Year Sealed Battery Smoke Detector with Ionization Sensor, model i9010 found at amzn.to/3hfNFqG.
I am using the 3 pack, but I have seen 1 packs, 2 packs, 3 packs, and 6 pack while searching for what model I wanted to purchase. The whole process took just a few minutes to install. It was super quick and easy. I only needed a drill to make holes in the ceiling, and a screw driver to drive in the screws. Other than that, everything you need is included.

I do not. I know that the ones I have do not have an on/off switch.
By pushing the security tag and twisting it anticlockwise you deactivate it.
Will these Work together with my wire ones? I mean if any turn on will all The others all turn on/activate? Jim
No. These don't have any connection points to connect to other detectors.
It doesn't work because the old detector had electrical metal things already in. You can't drill both sides of this ughhhhh!!!!

I don't remember off hand. I installed it about a year ago. Sorry.
The instruction manual says to use a 3/16 inch bit FOR THE PLASTIC INSERTS.

And can you recommend were is better place to install it on the wall or on the ceiling which is the right place

The wiring is very easy compared to a lot of other wiring jobs in the average house. You can do this!
What about if I don't see LED light, but it activated & heard beep!
Now, if I would only be able to change the clock setting once every ten years!
Be careful if you have old ceiling tiles like this, they could contain asbestos.

So that means the new 10 year battery one doesn’t need to be wired or attached to any wires in the sealing?
There might be some models that offer that feature, but these do not. Those wires are usually there to link them all together, so if one goes off, the all go off.

So I place these where my wired smoke alarms were, is that safe?
I'm not an electrician, but I did the same thing, and haven't had any issues.
How did you installed it? You didn't explain how it operates?
Watch from 5:40 and you will see, all he does is twist it into the locked position and that activates the unit.

Battery died after 1 year
Contact them. They come with a 10-year limited warranty.
From their website:
IMPORTANT: Do not remove an alarm's back cover. Back cover removal will void the warranty.

WASTE OF TIME...Too much blah blah blah but doesn't show how to "line them up" - this is the biggest issue people are facing with the installation!
