Hoover battery’s can be used for everything from this vacuum to their carpet cleaners, leaf blowers and more and for that I like Hoover

I think people should realize that Shark does everything possible to make their machines effectively not serviceable. None of these reviewers mention this, if you have a 500 dollar vacuum and it's very difficult to replace the brush? Just read the reviews out there and some of it's design flaws.

Hands down Hoover over shark any day. I bought a stratos upright and when I tried to use the lift away mode it broke (cheap plastic) and couldn’t get it off or the dust cup. It wound up in the dumpster

The Stratos line is hands down the BEST EVER product line Shark has made. The power and suction are unsurpassed. The Stratos has fully-sealed HEPA filtration, while Hoover does not. For me, top-notch filtration and powerful suction are the two requirements I need. I have bith the Shark Stratos Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum and the Shark Stratos upright AZ3000. So powerful and versatile that I sold my fairly new Sirena water filtration vacuum in favor of these.

The Hoover appears more practical than the shark, also the sharks are notorious for filters letting dust through their filters into motor chamber, the Hoover I suspect won’t, I had the euro earlier version of the Hoover (Blade 2 max) for several years.

The Hoover absolutely lets stuff through. It’s got a HEPA filter, but it’s AFTER the motor (like most home grade vacuums), and the canister isn’t sealed well.
It’s not the end of the world, unless you vacuum tons of fine dust like drywall. Just have to periodically clean it to keep the vac running at its best for a long time.

The wife loves the stratos. Only thing she wants is an extra battery. Did I say she really loves that stratos

Shark should start making their vacuums with replaceable batteries. Hoover is doing it and now Eureka just came out with their Replaceable battery line of vacuums named Innova. I feel like the industry is moving in that direction.

@@JustADad I had a previous one that I bought at Costco and it came with two batteries. I have had it for 5 years and using each battery until it dies and they put it on the charger! The last one I just bought came with only one and the website says the additional battery for $80 is out of stock. So that was a deal breaker for me and I decided to return and go with the Hoover. I have 30 days to try. I still don't like how hair gets caught in the bristle brush in the back. It gets wrapped around the roll. Bummer, but my old Shark is that way too. I just detach the roller and cut it out occasionally. 🥲

Im suprised more companies arent making bigger dust collecting chambers. Shame that most stick vacuum have small chamber/canisters. Even ryobi stick vacuum has bigg chamber than hoover
