Im French and was in the US on vacations in July, met him in person at HSP showroom in Scottsdale, AZ 2 weeks ago. He dedicated me an hour of his real busy time just talking about everything. Smart man, very cultured, open-minded, nice to me to offer me t-shirts, awesome guy and so are his crew-members !!!!

so inspiring. the part where he said he took leave to take the indoctrination test really speaks volumes of the type of person he is.
I know a guy who won't do anything unless he is paid to do it.
I know other guys who donate their own time to train in their profession and master their craft.

Here's how I got to this video. I've recently became a 2A participant and assembled my own AR-15 lower. bought a BCM upper for it in 5.56 1-8 twist 16.1" stainless steel barrel, 15 inch hand guard. And I love it! Along with the upper came two magazines on the back of which was a panel of people, and for some reason I thought Travis Haley seemed familiar, thought I saw him in a video with Garandthumb, can't be sure, but I am GLAD I looked him up.!!!!

People can make jokes and say what they want about him being "super tactical", but none of them understand that what he does really makes a difference for the people that risk their lives every day. On top of being great at what he does, he's grown to be the type of man everyone should aspire to be.

If there was ever a reason to be a better person in life, here's your answer :)
Its not about me, its about we.
To be able to inspire and help people (and not only about firearms but in real life) and motivate Americans (and maybe Australians like me) makes me realise that it only takes one man to affect change.
Keep on being an awesome individual. the world needs you now more than ever.

More people need to watch videos like this. You yourself are sometimes holding yourself back in life. Get up get out go do something hard..yes it will suck but it will make other issues look easy. I tell my 15 and 16 year olds to join the military. Go become something great. While your friends are cutting grass you can be somewhere in the world doing some task you cant even tell people about. I was fortunate enough to train with Travis back in his Magpul days (if he sees this, I was one of the Canadians who came down). There isn't a more squared away and switched on soldier out there in my opinion. Extremely articulate in his explanations of techniques, and motivates everyone within his bubble to just...do it better. An exceptionally great American, his positive outlook on every facet of life - not just shooting and training - is inspirational.
Anyone who was the opportunity to train, work with, or work for Travis should drop whatever else it is they are doing, and do so.
There are many great people in the community Travis operates within, Larry, Paul Howe down in Texas, Chris Costa, Reid H at the new Valor Ridge outfit. It's fantastic that BCM is doing these videos informing a wider audience of the contributions they've made, and the services they can offer us all.

Definitely my favorite episode. Awesome behind the scenes of what drives and motivates such a guy. I didn't realize he designed the BAD Lever too!

BZ Marine! Travis exemplifies the type of individual I was so accustomed to seeing in the Marine Corps. I hope someday soon to take a class or two at Haley Strategic.

Dam I can relate to what Travis felt at a young age, the curiosity. Wisdom breeds from that. Instinctual I feel the same way as an adventurer and pioneer. I got into heavy opiate usage and I'm on the tail end of that being 25 years old. I'm working hard toward having that vision and same feeling I had growing up to strive for greatness. I hope to god and country I will find and witness that essence e of life once again.
