    Hey i actually contacted them a while ago about their percentages and here is what i got,
    we use Vitamin C at 4.3%. The Vitamin C derivative we use, sodium ascorbyl phosphate we also use Niacinamide at 2%, + Alpha Arbutin at .03%. and Tranexamic Acid at .01%
    In terms of % of Kojic in Over Night it's at .1% and the total percentage of all the acids in Deep Dive is equal to 10%.

    We are so happy to hear you love Day Dream! In our opinion, it's one of the best around. While we want everyone to love all of our products, it's understandable if they don't all work for you, but we just wanted to address a few of your concerns, and hopefully, you can give them another try. 🧡
    We would love to send a new Deep Dive. The formula has 10% of all exfoliants in it. This includes AHAs, PHA, and fruit enzymes and extracts. Many of our sensitive skin users feel it gets the job done without causing irritation and sensitivity. So skin is glowing, smooth, and softer but not red, blotchy, or irritated. Overnight is such a special formula. It was developed to moisturize but not clog pores. We found many overnight cream masks did just that - which is why we included Mandelic and Kojic Acid. Mandelic is a large molecule of AHA, so it is more gentle than its other more aggressive cousins, and it can help prevent pores from being clogged. They are at such low levels (.01%) that you do not need to worry about over-exfoliating or disrupting the skin barrier. It's a major bummer you felt Slam Dunk wasn't enough of you - pro tip if you need a little extra moisture, use Float On over Slam Dunk.🙏

    I tried their mask and I felt like it left a tacky film, and sort of tugged at my skin while washing it off. My mom liked it though she has dry skin, I didn’t mind it but I wouldn’t repurchase it because of those reasons. I have oily non-reactive skin. I love their level up moisturizer I just use one pump or flower haha over the Paula’s choice pore reducing toner and it’s literally cut down so much on oil production. I can sleep the whole night without waking up to an oil slick, just a tiny bit of oil after the whole night. And that might improve the longer i use it & i just started a bha exfoliator. I found that when I used the level up on its own without the toner I had slightly more oil production. I really want to try their solar mate sunscreen next. I also really try to use gentle cleansers that don’t make my skin feel dry or tight. In the mornings I use a hydrating cream cleanser with smaller than a pea size on my chin nose & forehead & wash off gently with lukewarm water. So basically washing my face with water & tiny bit of cleanser & that’s also helped a lot.

    I wonder if Bubble's whole line was conceptualized in the exfoliation fever dream that was 2020. 😂 Why'd they go so hard? They should definitely put warnings on them to not use together!

    I love Bubble and I wish we sold them at Target (I'm a beauty consultant there)! I just got the bounce back mist on clearance from CVS, and yes, if you don't like the scent of rose you will hate it. I don't mind it, but I don't love it either. Super cute and I love the cute size, but I would never pay full price. I have combo skin and I really like the gel cream they have. The clay mask you like is really nice, but nothing exciting to me. I do like their salicylic acid serum, but the texture makes it a little difficult for me to fit into my bunch of skincare steps since I like to do exfoliating stuff right after my toners this one feels like it should be right before moisturizer.
    I too LOVE the Daydream serum and I actually just bought my second bottle and (in addition to just using it) plan to bring it to my family reunion so my little sister who is super into skincare too can try it. She has sensitive skin so I think it'll be great!
    I actually do like their exfoliating mask because I don't think it's too strong (it doesn't burn or tingle for me) but I haven't run into the problem of it going weird/bad though I've had it for months.
    Thanks for the review and ranking! I've been looking forward to it, and as usual, you didn't let me down!

    You mentioned during the Deep Dive segment that you have to treat a strong AHA product quite differently than you would a gentle product. I'd like to hear more about that. I own the DRMTLGY L.A. Refining Serum, which has 12% lactic acid. I was using it twice a week for several weeks until the winter, when my skin said NOPE and I had to cut back on everything to get it to calm down. As a man in his 40s, I still want to exfoliate, and I don't want to waste this product, but I want to incorporate it in a smart way. I'm thinking once every two weeks will probably be OK, but should I buffer it before application (along the lines of a "retinol sandwich") or just put it on straight away? Do you employ techniques that blunt the strength of such things? Last night, I put a few drops of face oil into a neutral milky emulsion, then applied the AHA serum. Trying to strike a balance between not hitting my skin too hard and not completely obviating the benefits of the serum.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! So one thing to keep in mind is that AHA requires a low pH. Thus buffering it would likely impede the performance, unfortunately 🥺
      For me, I have to space out any AHA use, breaking from my standard retinoid usage for a few days before and after. Otherwise, it’s a no-go for me.

    • @johnmichaelarnaud

On the high end side: Donginbi’s oil is amazing (super pricey though) and I like cbd oils as well (Lord Jones). I’ve been using one from carenology recently, will share soon, and I’m super pleased with that one as well! Basically an herbivore lapis dupe

    Off topic, but remember how you’d said you saw biossance elderberry jelly cleanser at Tj maxx or one of those stores? Found out why. After emailing the company about a question I had, I was informed it’s discontinued so it’s being sold off at both sephora and discount stores. I have only tried their two moisturizers but I liked them. I wasn't wowed and I noticed that most of their other products were exfoliating which wouldn't work for me along with my differin. But I am intrigued with the acne serum, and also surprisingly the clay mask. It's been a long time since I've used anything with clay bc I'm not even super dry and I find them soo drying. My slam dunk moisturizer tho stopped coming out from the whole spout and I don't love that dispenser.
