  • Recorded using Stereoscope Microscope. Solution is distilled water and 5% citric acid. using bamboo skewers and qtips gently. Do not do this without doing serious research before hand. Purity of Silver changes a lot over the roman era and citric acid will do different things for each era. Not all good!

Disclaimer: Don't try at home without lots of research first... However TL;DR: 5% citric acid / distilled water solution. Bamboo Skewers/qtip gently and intermittently removing layers of dirt. Recorded and performed under microscope to ensure not damaging. I left as much of the natural find patina and toning alone as possible as they are attractive, while only removing dirt deposits from portrait, legends, and captive parthian !
