AVD Summertreffen, Essen, Germany: KNPV demonstration

Demonstration of a number of elements involved in the traditional KNPV training and certification programme by Gio Badjou and team. KNPV has been in existence since 1907 and retains a strong relationship toward identifying and highlighting the requirements forming the basis of successful police service dogs; intelligence, persistence, trainability, tractable & independent behaviour as required, strong nose, alertness, courage, hardness, resilience and a protective nature.
The demonstration included elements such as food refusal, object guard, courage tests and the transport. The weather was quite unforgiving as the temperatures were certainly in excess of 35 degrees all day. Thanks to Gio and the team for an interesting demonstration.
