What I've always loved about Bach, apart from that voice, is that he's a genuine fan of the music too, he's always talking about his favourite bands like a fan crazed teen. Two of metals finest and most powerful here. And both still sounding good
Yeah, met him outside of the building Howard Stern did his old radio show (92.3) the first time he was on the show. Seriously cool dude. Smoked a few bowls with him, right in front of the building, LOLOL.
Sometimes when I don't have much time to watch the whole video, I just watch the first 25 seconds. That screams in the intro are just amazing !! Rob rules !!
Just found a video with him and Ace Frehley + Pantera that's great. At the time I can imagine see Skid Row as lame pop metal; but frankly they were perfect for these features with icons, which makes great TH-cam.
@@ChiliCheeseSwag I like Skid rows debut a lot, Bach has some pipes and the guitarists are insanely talented. Their 2nd album Slave to the grind is pretty heavy. I would recommend it.
Mtv setting...love how sebastian treats it as if it were a whole stadium arena of a million people... he performs always as if he's performing for thousands. . Best frontman
Halford, screaming at double of Bach's decibels while chewing gum and kicking ass, looking fresh as it ends. At the same time, Seb's gasping for air when it's over, at about half of Rob's age. Sebastian is a FANTASTIC singer. Halford is a Metal God.
Playing a whole show and coming in to do one song are totally two different things.bach may have looked out of breath but i bet he would have done about 10 more songs.
@@closer71 Halford was running shit and the metal god when Bach was learning to read. Don’t ever put Bach in the same sentence with Halford ever again. One is a legend, the other is just another 80’s hair metal vocalist
I have to now give Skid Row props....Slave to the Grind was totally under rated, and it did remind me of JP. Wish there was more low end on this. And Rob hasn't lost a thing here.
I remember this waking me up on Mtv..at like four in the morning...one night and I didnt get back to sleep until 3 oclock in the next day....this rocked.
You are correct, but when I was younger I thought Rob would sound awesome with BS. Then it happened years after OO left, RH killed it, but not to the degree I expected. You are absolutely correct however, JP with RH, and BS with OO were unstoppable in their respective eras, overlapping. Early Iron maiden really had a lot of raw talent up to SIT thats when they began a journey into the bizarre.
Andrew C. Thank political correctness for that. I'm a pretty mellow, accepting person, but MTV went overboard with hip hop and tween reality shows. They are freaking lame, have been for about 20 years now. Sad, I remember growing up with Headbangers Ball, Rock Blocks, Beavis and Butthead, Oddities, MTV Unplugged, etc. Those days are gone. Now you better have MTV Classic if you want even a chance of catching that stuff.
@@markrago4839 MTV sucks ass now. It stopped being good once that shit show the real world crept on the scene back in 94'. As you seen this has led to an abandonedment of youth on rock and metal and now we are left with shit music and any rock is whiney entitled emo shit. Nothing with any substance.
I heard Rocka Rolla on a compilation album, and thought this Judas Priest band sounds alright. I bought Killing Machine, heard Delivering the Goods, and my life changed forever! 🙂✌️
frickinay! the skids made good! whatever i had thought or maybe said about 'em, don't mean anything anymore; y'see-i-been-thru the desert plains in planes, and in cars'n'trucks, it's all-the-same as long as you got some music! it's smooth-sailin', so-to-speak:~~~~~~
I lost track of the band after Sebastian, but I've dipped in every now and then over the years. This guy certainly has the chops and is way better than Solinger. But the band won't ever be complete without Rob and Sebastian.
Bach is terrific but, obviously, Rob Halford is one of greatest, most gifted voices ever. Not really a comparison. But a wonderful song and performance
'black death vodka' on the guitarist's t-shirt. My father once gave me a small coffin box with that logo, it was how they were selling this vodka. i still have it and keep my weed on it. Also, Rob is GOD. Cheers.
That day that Rob auditions for Suicidal Tendencies.
LOLOLOLOLOL So true!!!
Midlife crisis.
So great, wow.
😂😂😂
rolf
Rob: "How do you do, fellow kids?"
Still got the godly vocals
Lolol
The opening Halford screams were INSANE
In my opinion Halford is the top three best metal vocalist.
I don't care what Rob is wearing this is straight fucking FIRE!
Looks like he suffered some megaton dynamite and it blew half his shirt off!
He had just singed a duo with Vanilla Ice that night
I think you mean the awesomest gay fire.... rob Halford is an incredible human being in every respect and an insanely good vocalist.

Well said
I was literally just thinking before I even read this comment, say what you want about SB, the guy loves to rock!
Fuck me man that was th most , congratulations you bad mother fucker, and crew , and crew again

Michel de Souza da Silva - Ya cause you're soooo busy...
Intro is badass

Love Bach or hate him he was exactly what you’d want to see and hear from a rockstar!! Kid was golden !!

Agreed.
I remember reading an interview with them at the time and they were saying they wanted to sound more like Motorhead.
Mtv setting...love how sebastian treats it as if it were a whole stadium arena of a million people... he performs always as if he's performing for thousands. . Best frontman
He may be an eccentric one but he is a big man tho
Yah! A Lack of confidence never seemed to be a prob for Seb.!
I guess if you consider the tv audience, he is performing for millions here lol
Halford, screaming at double of Bach's decibels while chewing gum and kicking ass, looking fresh as it ends. At the same time, Seb's gasping for air when it's over, at about half of Rob's age.
Sebastian is a FANTASTIC singer. Halford is a Metal God.
Still now, Rob kicks ass and Bach blows ass.
@@robinyumnam2646 To be fair bach did have a hernia and sorta cut off his main way of hitting those high screams.
Well Bach spent the whole show and Rob stepped in just for one song. Both are incredible as well as Skid Row this days - what a great band!
Playing a whole show and coming in to do one song are totally two different things.bach may have looked out of breath but i bet he would have done about 10 more songs.
Halford was fresh and generally has a bigger voice. Literally, the guy's a baritone to Bach's tenor, it's only natural he'd be heard more.
I love the pace the band plays this song, and just love the vocals - what a cool delivery!
Rob knew how to ride the 90s train and really any decade's train, he's the GOAT metal God for a reason!!!!
Even after nearly 20 years of being a metal fan every once in awhile a song just makes me think "this heavy metal shit is fucking awesome"
2 of the best voices in music.
One of the best. Bach isn’t even the dirt under halfords shoes. No one is
@@GeorgeZimmermen That’s ridiculous. Bach has a four octave range and performed on Broadway in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Please

Let’s not leave our Bruce Dickinson, Jeff Tata, and John Bush…… some of you folks calm down on the comparisons, everybody is good in their own right
I love that the guitar sound and Rob's yelps really sound like Unleashed in the East era. Feels like home.
This is a treasure.
So I'm not the only one watching this right now

One of the best albuns ever made.
This is GOLD !!! Best feat performance ever. ❤
"Holy Shit Phoenix, did you hear that?!"
Dude, IMO, one of the best things you'll EVER see, and I've been into metal since around 81
Excellent, KickAsss heavy metal rocking!!! By two of the best Screamers,Ever!! And the band!!!

This song and these singers, Halford and Bach.....amazing....well played priest song by skid row....this is how metal should be played and performed !
Same, brother.
Remember watching this live on MTV. Still blown away.
Now that looks super fun, everyone knows Halford!
The power of Rob is amazing
Love this. DTG is one of my fave JP tunes, and this a very worthy version. Bach and Halford sound great singing together.
Saw Skid Row live back in 1992. Freakin phenomenal heavy metal live band holy shit!
Without Priest or Sabbath there's no Metal. I remember when this aired on Headbanger's Ball. It gave Skid Row some hard cred.

What a great song and joint venture! Both singers were the best.
Rob Halford.... simplesmente....mestreeeeee acredito que para Sebastian ele é uma grande inspiração...

Even megadeth wore flannel in the nineties, while Skid Row just got "fuck you" heavy over time....

Bach is great but Halford is on another level
Well he certainly didn't show this level in this performance... They were about the same with Bach being slightly better imo.
