Unfortunately every attempt I made to fix one of these with sealer has failed so it’s just better to buy a new one. They are a little under $300. Be sure to torque to the exact spec as shown in the video replacing the pump.

I own a 2012 Pop. Really appreciate all the videos you have made about the fiat 500. They have been extremely helpful. Hope you keep it up and show us just about everything about this car cause it has saved me lots of money being able to diy work on it. I will never trust another mechanic again to work on my car after what I found some by previous mechanics after I started investigating issues myself. Not even for simple oil change. Thank you

I would recommend doing the basic and least expensive things first. Spark plugs should be changed every 32,000 miles, air filter every 20,000 miles for example. I don’t know if it has any kind of check engine light but that would help you find out the issue.

After I just checked into this it’s actually supposed to have oil in that side! However there is a check valve that goes into the top of the pump that doesn’t let oil get in!

Check out my installation video for the part numbers on the gasket and the pump/gasket complete assembly. Make sure your gasket is straight if it’s bent it may not work so if you buy one inspect the box to see if the gasket is in perfect condition.

Do you know the part number for the connector that is shown around 0:35- 0:36? It’s the plastic fitting that secured with a t25.
My snapped, I glued it on and I can’t notice anything different braking wise. But want to get it replaced.

Hi there I have a quick question. Is it normal for the Fiat 500 to tick specifically I noticed from the vacuum pump

Hello John, any chance you can send the measures for the gasket on the video that you show at 2:01, if it is possible let me know the SPN/SKU# Mopar doesn't sell it alone. Thanks

Hi Stefan, the part number is 68120415AA for the gasket. Make sure it’s not bent when you get it because it’s made out of metal and if it’s bent chances are it will leak.

My 2012 fiat 500 sport has 57,000 miles on it and I'm having problems with the start up. It starts but sounds like it's sputtering and wants to turn off.
What do you think it can be?
