      It depends on what she is doing. At the moment I believe she is flying vfr with flight following or might be IFR both of which are really useful when doing longer flights. When you do quick flights and just want to mess around than you can fly VFR and go nuts (out of controlled airspaces)

    • @rovers141
      @rovers141 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jcnt9292 You do know that VFR and IFR has nothing to do with whether the airspace is controlled, right? IFR (Instrument flight rules) are a set of rules you follow when using instruments to fly/navigate, due to not being able to see outside of the cockpit due to weather or IMC conditions. VFR (visual flight rules) are a set of rules you follow during a normal flight when you can see outside, and even night flights do count as VFR in case you're wondering. As long as you can see that your plane is flying straight and level and you can see other aircraft or runway lights from a distance then it's considered VFR. So fog (for low level flying), heavy rain, clouds or flying in any other similar obstruction would be considered IMC and you need to follow IFR. You also have to be rated to fly IFR, that's your instrument rating. It is 100% illegal to fly IFR without an instrument rating unless you are flying with an instrument rated instructor (CFII, Certified Flight Instructor with Instruments) I doubt she has an instrument rating and she is 100% flying VFR. In fact only slightly over 50-60% of private pilots are instrument rated. It costs more money to obtain that rating and as long as you don't have a need to fly into IMC weather then you don't need it anyway.

I'd love to see kids of whom could never dream of this level be given a chance to do this kind of thing. I would love to see the kids of the inner city have a chance to simply walk through the wilderness among the trees and the rivers and the mountains and the animals. These kids will need to fly over it once they see it, feel it, smell it and believe in it and these kids just maybe will be able to fly over it too some day. If they have a need to. I believe all the kids should and will have the opportunity to experience flight.

    I was recommended this video because I've recently been watching a lot of airplane videos, like cargo flights, animal rescue moving, and more from Sam Chui, so I opened it and I never thought I'd see someone almost my age flying a friken airplane. It honestly got me watching to get my rec pilots permit license, I looked up the prices and its honestly not as expensive as I thought it would be, still kinda expensive but I thought it would be in the hundreds of thousands, it is not. So I'm actually thinking of saving up to get my rec license because this looks like so much fun, and renting a 1 engine airplane for an hour isnt as expensive as I thought it would be, so if I get my license I might go up in the air more often. So I guess what I'm trying to say is thank you Stevie Triesenberg for these videos, they made me want to get my license

    A new subscriber here and I’m loving these videos! I’m three years older than her Bonanza, was born on an airport, raised on another airport in Florida with two Bonanzas in our family, one of which is still flying and fully restored. So happy to feel like I’m still part of an airplane family! My dad was a WWII pilot, single and dual engine flight instructor and had about every rating available as well as an A&E mechanic. He managed the airport, flew charters and my Mom was the office manager, bookkeeper and offered her small hands in service of the mechanical things where a small hand was needed to get into small spaces. 😝. I never wanted to learn to fly but if we had these type of things available when I was a teenager I would have taken advantage of what was afforded to me. Stevie is very well trained and it’s a real blessing to watch her fly her first cross country solo in a wonderful airplane. 💕

    I love watching your videos at times, you so remind me of the nicest things about old Southern California. I often think of you as riding a beach cruiser in the sky. You just look so relaxed and happy!! Way to achieve your goals. My goals keep me on the ground, where I will not need a vomit bag during turbulence. :) Stay safe!!

    You had some nice VFR weather. The video makes it all look so easy. But I know that was more tiring than you made it look. As a 25 year pilot, I would fly with you anytime. You're solid.

    You are a very skilled pilot. Fun to watch. And very clear on the coms. I'm amazed how many people don't realize how key good radio communications are.

    Stevie, I love how you GUMP'd loudly. Gas, Under Carriage, Mixture and Props. I counted you doing this around 3 times on each approach....GOOD HABITS TO DEVELOP! Here's wishing you 45 Min's reserve on every one of your flights.

    Hey Stevie, thank you so much for videos like this! I did a very similar flight shortly after I got my commercial IFR over a decade ago. Since then, I have lost my pilot medical, and as much as it hurts not be able to fly for the moment, videos like this help! In a lot of ways videos like this, give me the similar joy I experience when I was flying. Please keep them up!
