- Tarantula is a Maurer SC3000 spinning coaster at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid. While most Maurer spinners feature cloned layouts on flat plots of land, this is a custom design with multiple large drops down a hill. Does this make it one of the best rides of its kind? Find out in this review!

You know what would be great, a pov at the end of the video. You explain it so well and would be awesome to experience it at the end
Unfortunately POVs were not allowed here.
The section with the second horseshoe, big drop, and twists upward is easily my favorite part of any spinner besides RTH
It's a great sequence.
Maurer Spinners are so fun, definetly my favorite spinning coaster type.
I recently made my own NoLimits2 concept because I like them so much.
I like the Mack spinners better myself.
I wish Maurer made more SC’s similar to this instead of their crappy Spike « coasters »
I prefer spinners too.
My favourite ride at the park, always super fun. I prefer it to most of the coasters at Warner, too. No inversions or headbanging just speed, drops, fun and great views of my city
I like the bigger thrill coasters myself, but this is still good.
If you survive an slc, you'll survive the alignment mechanism as well :D
It's not *_that_* bad :)
SLCs are worse, but this is a bad moment that comes out of nowhere.
I first rode it in 2006 and was blown away by it's length, ride cycle, layout and smoothness. Rode it again last year and wow, did this coaster turned into a big dissapointment! We got out with bruises and a headache. In no way did our ride resemble the rides of 2006. Time to demolish it and build something new, the park desprerately needs it!
That's unfortunate you got a poor ride.
Borderline the best coaster at this park !
I like Tornado and Abismo more.
I am from Spain and I ride it every time I can
Nice!
We rode this last week and did think it was very smooth. One jank did almost break my back though. If not for the long line, I probably would have ridden it again.
The reset mechanism can be brutal.
This thing has the harshest braking I ever experienced. Maybe we just got it on a bad day, but it hammered me with those brakes, it was so painful. So a one and done for me. The ride entrance does look cool though.
That reset mechanism is brutal.
This was my wife & I's favorite ride at the Park during our 2022 visit. I'm bummed to hear about the dark ride being closed (had no idea it even existed, would be an awesome addition to the Park) & Tarantula could definitely use a minor refurb (repaint, build a better load station, etc) but the theming, city views, & thrills made us huge fans of this ride
I'd probably give it a 8-8.5/10
I hope they add another dark ride.
Excelente vídeo del Parque de atracciones de Madrid
Thanks!
Maurer doesn’t need to make spike or spinners, they need more x-cars, the x-cars are their most unique model I kinda think there should be more due to their uniqueness and odd design being able to basically do anything whether it’s having the chain upside down or even hanging upside down like an invert
It's a good model.
What do you think about this ride, Tarantula at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, in terms of pacing? And in terms of smoothness?
It's smooth enough.
is it better than spider at lagoon?
Yes
HOW IS IT BETTER THAN SPIDER A TLAGOON
Bigger drops.
So how would you compare Tarantula at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid to other coasters in Spain like Uncharted at PortAventura, Stunt Fall at Parque Warner Madrid, and Tornado at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid?
I have a video on the best coasters of Spain.
Do you like cows
Yes
