It's like the Aboriginals of Australia. It's their country, they lived freely, then foreigners came, took over, brought with them unknown laws and rules, forced the aboriginals to comply with them, then arrested and imprisoned them in their own land.

Rather than ‘protecting all communities’, shouldn’t we be putting British people first? Just like…how pretty much every other country in the world puts its own citizens first?

      no, and never

Britain was always a nation of communities, with a balance of expectations that we could do what we did, and if we didn't force our values on you, you're community would tolerate us.
Vikings vs Saxon, Normans vs English, English vs Welsh/Scots/Irish
Papal Catholics vs early non papal Christians. Catholics vs Protestants, different protestants vs CoE

As I was listening to this video I was especially struck by the comment that one of you said that some people in a shop were talking about leaving the country. I am Portuguese, have lived and worked in the UK since 2012 and absolutely love this country. But I am starting to think about moving away as well. I work two jobs, I am a carer and work as a cleaner/barmaid in a pub. But although I make about £36000 year (before tax etc.) I can’t seem to ever have enough. No way I could even think about buying a house. I have a 2005 Fiesta, I don’t smoke, don’t have takeaways and rarely eat out. Don’t wear makeup, don’t have fake eyelashes or nails and never go to the hairdresser. My kids are all grown up so I don’t need to support them. Still, I have only been able to save about £2000. So it does make feel like I’m not getting anywhere. Rents are excruciatingly expensive so all my money just goes down the drain. I think I contribute a lot to this amazing country. I care for the elderly and do the important job of cleaning . I pay almost £1000 pm tax, national insurance, work insurance etc. I am law abiding and respect everyone. I speak almost perfect English. But I don’t feel safe in the trains and won’t go by myself to London. I cannot understand how people that don’t work can have houses and very expensive cars. I feel cheated. It is heartbreaking but true, my mind is taking me to another country.

Despited some serious health issues I had returned to working + receipt of welfare.
The restrictions imposed during lockdown have basically destoyed me. My employment went. My physical and mental health went. All routine and sense of normality went.
I am currently unemployed and actively looking for work but realistically face no prospect of securing even part time employment as the number of people looking for work is scary.

I got depressed and blamed myself. I left the UK in 1997 before Blair. I‘m so glad I did. I go home once a year and you can see the degeneration. I also try and strike up conversations with strangers about politics and everyone says they don’t follow politics. I see a fear of giving their opinions. It was never like this before. I feel so bad for everyone. It’s a horrible feeling of hopelessness, I remember it too well. I wish I could say something that would help but I can’t. Your life mirrors mine but I left school in 85 . The difference is though at least you felt in the 80s that you believed in democracy and the country was our own, a house was attainable at 3.5 times salary , 12 times now. Early on I had awful jobs but could always get one, still able to progress by getting married, house and children paid by doing extra shifts, overtime etc.. The youth of today have no hope because our government in lock step with their business masters have deindustrialised us while the ridiculous net zero is championed here , while China is pumping out goods and carbon from coal fired power stations we aren’t allowed to. Immigration we never asked for has broken our benefits system, infrastructure and social cohesion, crime rises in correlation with the higher numbers of immigrants yet they never see a pattern. This government along with the last has first made me despair at the direction of travel but this latest vague and targeted attacks on the disenfranchised who have tried everything to make them listen peacefully are now exploding. These draconian laws against the indigenous may frighten people to ignore their own eyes for a while but will foster a greater reaction when the next atrocity happens, eventually enough is enough for the most patient man.

I’m okay with difference in all ways and on thought. In the end I wished her well and weirdly apologised for being someone who says it like it is but I meant no offence to what she doesn’t want to acknowledge is going on right now. To prosper , Pray is our weapon. not hate ! God is able to stump him on his tracks. He became proud. This what God did to the proud king
      Daniel 5:20-22
20 “But Nebuchadnezzar became proud and stubborn, so his power was taken away from him. He was taken off his royal throne and stripped of his glory. 21 Then Nebuchadnezzar was forced to go away from people. His mind became like the mind of an animal. He lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like an ox. He became wet with dew. These things happened to him until he learned his lesson. He learned that God Most High rules over human kingdoms, and he gives them to whoever he wants.

As a person who had a professional job, which I loved, but became disabled suddenly, I think there are many factors contributing to people not wanting to work. I felt that I had lost my purpose in life. I miss working. It was very traumatic. However, I have friends who work with coworkers from diverse backgrounds. One was severely depressed because she was being bullied and isolated. Another went to London for a short term assignment for her company in Edinburgh, and she said people were not nice to her at all. The sense of community, decency and respect seems to be lacking in businesses these days. Bullying is causing anxiety and depression it’s no wonder people want to stay at home. People are more aggressive in general. There multiple layers of factors causing societal breakdown.

    • @ChimpingBulldog
      @ChimpingBulldog 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Nicely observed. I see it myself. People are not interacting in social settings as often. They are isolating themselves. Local communities are being eroded. People are more aggressive with each other, tgere's less money and more people, the backlog for medical treatment is growing, not shrinking. Even before the riots the public didnt trust the police, who seem to shout at and bully the public.
      It's very sad.

Muslim community leaders aren't elected so how do we know theyre not just a bunch of gangsters holding that position through threats and intimidation? Community leaders outside of our MPs should be banned and Muslim communities encouraged to integrate eg wear English clothing.

I've just been reading an autobiography about a Victorian shipping line owner, in which he said that the British Government of his time were as cruel as the then leader of Turkey, because of the way it countenanced the appalling conditions under which seamen were expected to work. And it was the PUBLIC's outcry which changed the situation. Similarly, it was the PUBLIC's opposition to slavery which changed the law in that regard. However, the British public of that day were more Christian and Biblically literate than most are today - it will take a monumental spiritual revival in the UK before anything will improve.

This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. 34.30. I'm white, working class, poor Northern town. Last 10 days, I've had the man in the dry cleaners suddenly talk about if his father could see the state of Britain now, the lady in the local shop talk about changes, the say oh but we cant say that now. Yesterday a mechanic started about 2 tier Kier. I've never had people talk to me in such overtly politicsl ways and so quickly. I think people are talking, certainly down here in the working class.
