    Great reveiw Mike, having used e-bikes in the past with a Bafang motor, they are ultra reliable, 90nm is brilliant for the price. Also great to see the NCX seat post. Keep up the great work, thanks for taking the time to review the e-bike.

      @@ElectricBikeReview you are most welcome. As a long time cyclist (32 years) I've had my fair share of bikes and e-bikes, both hub and mid-drive motors. Bafang is one of the worlds largest sellers of e-bike motors. For the price of the motors and the torque, they really do represent great value for money. Incidentally, I have purchased 2 e-bikes after watching reviews in the past on this channel, namely the Cube SUV Hybrid Race 500 and the Harley Davidson Serial 1 RUSH/CTY. Both automatic gearing from Enviolo, mid-drive and great torque, I'm 56, so need all the assistance I can get these days :)

    Excellent review, Mike! I was considering this very bike in this exact color, and the red looks a lot more subtle than it does on the website, which I prefer. You've made my decision much easier, thanks!

    I'm looking to either get this bike or the Velotric Discover 2. I like the turn signals on the Velotric. Is there a quality aftermarket turn signal kit that can be added to the Euphree? I would prefer a bike mounted system as opposed to a helmet system.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are actually quite a few aftermarket wireless turn signals with a small, clean looking button to mount on the handlebar that would allow for using the turn signals. Both bikes are really nice rides though! - Mike

    Great review. I thought I was sold on buying a Radster Trail but now I have to consider the Stellar Falcon. Which bike would you recommend between the 2?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Man, that's not an easy choice, they both are really great bikes that we all have on our short list of recommended e-bikes. The both have really powerful 750W motors, the Rad's torque sensor feels (slightly) better, but the Stellar Falcon gives you both a cadence and torque sensor which for some rides is a really nice feature. Also, the Stellar falcon has an adjustable air fork that feels better off road plus the suspension seatpost which will be more forgiving to your lower back/saddle area on longer rides. With that said, the extra 10Nm of torque the Radster has gives it a bit more power and RAD has some updated battery safety with their safe shield isolated battery cells to prevent thermal runoff, however, they both have UL 2271 and 2849 certifications. Honestly, both bikes are great and I'm not just saying that, its actually a tough choice. Its gonna come down to comfort (suspension differences) and colors you prefer because otherwise, they are pretty similar. Not a bad problem to have though! Cheers! Mike

      @Pranster55 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ElectricBikeReview thanks for the quick reply. It seems on video that the motor on the Stellar Falcon is louder than the Radster Trail. This and your comments on another video of an ok torque sensor gives me the sense that the Trail is slightly more refined. Excellent review and I am new fan of this channel.

    As a beginner ebike rider researching for a first bike, I like the versatility. I test rode a nice bike last week, but the throttle seemed a bit jumpy. Maybe with experience I might prefer that kind of power, but initially I really like that I could dial down the response to a more relaxed take off, the adjust it as I got more comfortable with it. Like the mechanic said, its the little things, and this bike has a lot of them.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well said!! Those little tweaks to the bikes performance really let you dial-in a ride that works for whatever you are comfortable with.

    The suspension seatpost is not optional as you stated...it comes standard (no extra charge). I guess it may be optional if you want to delete it, but I'm not sure if they'll take 100 bucks off the price though!

    Ben mentioned the noisy metal fenders. Is it worth spraying the underside of the fenders with Flex-seal spray or 3M Undercoating spray to quiet them down or would this cause any problems over time?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a solid idea, I don't know that it would cause any problems, in fact it may help.

    I don't understand your comment "The seat post can go from 23 in. to 29 1/2 in". Where is that measurement taken from exactly? On Euphree's website they provide Minimum & Maximum seat height, which is given as 34" to 42", respectively.

    Hi Mike, just a quick question, did you find the torque sensor on this midstep model performed better than on the step-through Stellar Falcon that you reviewed on Electric Bike Report? I'm wondering if Euphree saw that review and made some changes to the torque sensors programming. Thanks very much!

    Longtime viewer of EBR. This vid was too sales-pitchy. Please include a competitive options segment to the review. All ebikes cannot be the 'best' and 'wonderful'. More criticism please. Really appreciated the comments about oversize bottom bracket vs. the square taper -- more like that would be great --- thank you

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey there, I get it and I can see it from your standpoint. However, a couple thoughts: 1. The bikes we receive come in all styles and budgets (i.e. a $899 folder w/500w rear hub motor or a $12,000 smart bike with ABS braking and automatic shifting, or our recent $6,500 commuter mid-drive). I guess I'm trying to say, for what "each bike is", many are great for that style and price range.
      2. I try to make a point to at least mention where I think each bike needs some improvements and our mechanic does the same in his portion of the review. We really try and be objective. If I say the $899 bike sucks because it needs a carbon frame, top-tier components, Fox fork and a mid-drive motor, I'm now unfairly trying to put it in a whole other category and budget. Hopefully that makes sense. Also, the brands get no say in our review and they do not get to see it before it goes live.
      With all of that said, I genuinely appreciate you sticking around EBR and I can always improve, I'll be working on walking that fine line better as we go forward. 🤜🤛 -Mike

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      ITs got a little bit of that motor noise, but its certainly not 'very' loud, mostly when in PAS 5 and trying to hit those faster speeds. -Mike

    • @mellowjammer
      @mellowjammer 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ElectricBikeReview I read many posts in the Euphree owners group on FB where they said that the noise isn't getting any better over time like Euphree told them it would and they are "quickly losing their love affair with the bike". I had one on order but cancelled after reading that. That noise stood out to me in every video of the bike that I watched. Is it just something about that motor? I think some Juiced Bikes used it too and there were similar complaints about noise on some of them too. That particular Bafang motor model is not very common though, is it?

    Pretty nice bike. However, a correction is in order. This is not a class three bike. As a matter of fact, it does not fall under the definition of a e-bike in any state that I am aware of. it is unclassified. Many brands are doing this and it is going to cause some problems for People down the road. Just as a quick example of the type of problems we will be looking at. If you were to be in a bike lane and get hit by a car while riding this. You would actually get a citation and be considered partially at fault because you’re not allowed to have it in the bike lane. Again, I am not trying to discredit this bike. But the bike enthusiast need to get a lobby and group started to advocate or we will go the same direction as the three wheeler motorcycles went back in the 1980s. All sales banned.

      I haven't followed ebikes for some time now, why isn't it a class 3 or any classification?

    • @southernebiking
      @southernebiking 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@stevendonovan9762 in every state that I am aware, class three does not have a throttle. The bike industry has pushed this out as though class three because it’s higher than class two encompasses it but if you look at actual state law, class three, as I said in almost every state that I am aware, has no throttle. It is pedal assist only. It is only the class two bike that has a throttle and of course they are not giving any assistance over the 20 mph. I really do think it’s a nice bike, but I also think this industry is shooting itself in a foot with some of its practices.
