Not enough people realize the caliber of Brian Setzer as a guitarist. He is one of the finer axemen of the rock world. Add to that his showmanship, and a superior voice, and the guy is a total package.
This guy never ceases to amaze me so talented great entertainer remarkable musician his creative music talent he shares with us lucky fans exciting and his energy is contagious keep on rocking towns around the globe we admire and enjoy what you bring bucket list !!!! Hell ya!!!

I grew up a rocker metal head and cared not for the Stray cats. About ten yrs ago I starting really liking this music ,actually I love it ,HalleluYAH! I am 53 yrs old by the way.
I played guitar for about forty years. I wasn’t great, and outright terrible at cover tunes. The only solo I ever learned off a record was Brian’s on Stray Cat Strut. That thing is a work of genius, it changes scales, keys, and he even throws in a few diminished chords for good measure. Incredible stuff, and years before he got around to this
My 4yr old autistic nephew just LOVES when I play anything BS...or 'swing' music.....his smile will light up a room like daylight... I've always loved the Stray Cats....and this orchestra...kills it...love them. I'd love to see them live...please come to Nebraska
My dad took me to turning stone casino to see Brian when I was 12 years old , I was front row and almost touched his shoes lol! I’ll never forget that moment.. stray cats and him are just beyond amazing

I, too, saw the Stray Cats (opening for the Rolling Stones), the Orchestra doing a regular show and then the Christmas show. Also caught his Rockabilly Riot tour in 2019. You are right, he is just amazing live and people who haven't seen him are missing out.
This big band is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Brian S can play that guitar! This is a lot of music rehearsals/arrangements AND HARD WORK. The sound is soooooooooooooo good.
Brian has such a monopoly on that style, both covering classic songs, or just swinging up his original Stray Cat songs. Anyone trying to break into that genre would immediately be condemned as a copy cat. There was a brief swing revival in the 90's, but that only gave more recognition to Brian. Those bands went extinct while Brian prevailed. He owns that style now. And he earned it! Do what you love and you'll never work a day in you life!

I've been watching you play since 1988, I had just came out of a 6 month Coma I saw you in the movie La Bamba as, Eddie Cochran after that I was hooked on wanting to learn to play like you & now I've been playing your music for 24 year. Thank you Brian you are truly an inspection I always wanted to sound like you & play like you as well, you are truly amazing, I can play songs similar to you, ,& sound extremely close but in my eyes I could not play identical to you the Rockabilly king, & king of Swing thank you again Brian.

I think he did that tuning thing in other venues on this song. I am guessing he was lowering the bass strings to get a lower note.
