    3 aliens sit around a table with an average new yorker. The human sits confused looking around at the creatures who are speaking in a strange language. They're holding and gesturing to another bleached human skull. The human is terrified; What horrible fate could await him?
    Then suddenly one of the creatures hand a slice of New York style pizza to another one who then hands it to the human. The human is confused but accepts the pizza. As he eats it the alien creatures make "dawww" noises

      Yeah most of the teachers hate their job and just try to find a way to make the day go by. They come and spit the lesson they are supposed to teach and go for a break. Thats the usual stuff. Where I live universities are like that as well... The professors are educated, one of them that I had lessons at was teaching in Harvard and still. It was clear how much he knows, but he was always speaking to himself. He didnt try to engage the audience, he didnt have passion for teaching. He had passion for math, but not for teaching. I hate the education system, but I love knowledge and science to the bone.

    • @Edgewalker001
      @Edgewalker001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      At our university we only had ONE professor like that, and when talking to the people at work, some that have worked in my field for twenty years or more, they all have horror stories of how much they hated her lessons, and especially exams. =p

    The sloth skull featured is from a Choloepus (two toed) sloth, which have an unusually few 5 neck vertebrae and cannot swim, if they fall in water they can easily drown. They are a very different mammal from the Bradypus (three-toed) sloth, which has a surprisingly numerous 9 vertebrae in their neck, allowing them to hold their head up high and swim like a champ. I am certain the skull is not Bradypus because they DO NOT have incisors/canines like a Choloepus, they have peg teeth. The skull Emily displayed was definitely from the non-swimming Choloepus, displaying the characteristic diastema (tooth gap) and ever-growing incisors.

    Sloths usually swim when the rain-forest floods. It's usually the 3-toed species (there's more than one species of three-toed, the same case with the two-toed) that carry the algae on their fur and are also the ones seen swimming.

    "cute" is a trait we've developed so parents stay interested in their babies. Certain "cute" traits are shared among many animals at a young age, check out embryology. So that feeling of "awww!' is just our love for our human babies transfered to other animals. Not only humans do it. That's why there are "animal odd couples" where an adult dog will take on a tiger cub into her litter of puppies. She finds the puppies cute, and takes care of them, as well as the tiger cub, and cares for it too.

    The German word for "sloth" is "Faultier" - which literally translates into "lazyanimal". I think that's more than fitting. I didn't know that their territory constist only of one or two trees! Awesome. I was laughing and grinning through the whole video. This channel is one of my all time favourits. t-HANK you so much for making these videos! :)
