glad you found this gem. That’s my brother Jason Scheff singing and playing bass. He also wrote and produced that song. It never gets old for me either. I remember hearing that song and it’s infant stages before it became polished off. But the meat and potatoes has always been there. I know he’s proud of this review that you gave him. I’m not trying to put words in his mouth but he shared it on his own page and seems very grateful for your reaction.
And lastly, Earth wind and fire was and still is ingrained in our souls from early music days.

Wow!!!! That's incredible!!!! I can certainly hear the influence of Earth Wind and Fire on this song... it's a great song. This is my first time listening to this wonderful tune.

Your brother and Peter Cetera have some of the best voices in pop rock history. Chicago was lucky to have both to cement their legacy😊

I was a Chicago fan in the 70's. This is the first time I've ever heard this, and I think this is at the top of what they've ever done! 35+ years later and their vocals sound as good, if not better than in their youth.

Gotta check out Chicago's huge catalog of songs like "Colour my world", " You're the inspiration", "Stay the night", "Saturday in the Park", "If you leave me now", " Along comes a woman", " Baby what a big surprise", " Does anybody real know what time it is?", "Look away", "Hard habit to break", "Feelin' stronger everyday", "Will you still love me?", "What kind of man would I be?".

Oh yeah!! I've always thought Chicago was the white version of Earth wind & fire & vice versa. I love both of them. I saw a DVD w/them together! It was amazing!! They performed each others songs & then all of them performed together. Loved it. You should check it out. It's called chicago earth wind and fire live at the greek theatre. Well damn...I've never heard this song, but I love it now! Classic Chicago.

Chicago is my all time favorite band. I saw them live in 1970 when Terry Kath was still alive. Those horns...OMG. GO into their old stuff, "Make Me Smile" "Does Anybody Really Know What TIme It Is" "I'm A Man" "25 or 6 to Four" "Saturday in the Park"

    • @craigw1911
      @craigw1911 2 ปีที่แล้ว

"Poem 58" on their debut album as "The Chicago Transit Authority", which also features "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? " and "I'm A Man", shows their amazing funky side. Start with the appropriately titled very first song of theirs on vinyl, "Introduction" with Terry Kath on lead vocals and his monster Strat playing. Great God Almighty, with Kath in the band they were INCREDIBLE.

Like others here, I have been listening to Chicago since the 70s. This is a great "new" song for me. It's very true to their original sound. I encourage you to dig into their earlier music. There is plenty, and you won't be disappointed. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Enjoy more Chicago.

While the lineup has changed, Chicago has been performing for over 50 years. Four of the original members are in the video:
    1) Robert Lamm (keyboards)
    2) Lee Loughnane (trumpet)
    3) James Pankow (trombone)
    4) Walter Parazaider (sax)

I first got into Chicago in the early 70's because they were all over the radio with hit after hit. Until this video I was unfamiliar with this song so thank you for turning me on to yet another great Chicago tune. I absolutely couldn't stop smiling watching the two of you interacting. So thank you for that too! I recommend the song Stronger Everyday. It's one of Chicago's best 70's songs. To be honest, they really didn't do any bad ones in the 70's. Enjoy the journey!

You got a hope that somebody from Chicago the band sees this. How could her reaction not absolutely melt your heart if you were the person or the people who created this music this is what every artist wants to do to somebody it’s beautiful. This was such a great reaction such a pure joyful reaction this is what music should do in can-do.

More Chicago. They got enough of a catalog for you to do an entire Chicago month with no other reactions... and then more :P I LOVE how excited Tasha is for Chicago lol. I love people who love chicago. I'm certain many will ask you to react to their early years stuff... before the David Foster era... before Terry died... before the "dark times" LOL. But I love all era's of Chicago. One of my favorite songs is Chasin' The Wind, after Peter Cetera left, from their album Chicago Twenty One. It's not a big number like the one we just heard, Now. But I don't care!!!

Just for some perspective, this is from their 36th album (Now: Chicago XXXVI), released in 2014. Their First album (Chicago Transit Authority) came out in 1969. There's a lot of good music in those five+ decades. Have fun...

Glad you reacted to this and your appreciation for Chicago!!! The first time I saw Chicago was in 1974, and most recently ten days ago here in Austin on March 9th!!! It was my 19th time to see them!! They played a sold out show at the Austin City Limits Theater and were phenomenal!!! The brass section knocked it out if the park that night!!!! It's also interesting that you mentioned Earth, Wind & Fire. I have actually seen Chicago with Earth, Wind & Fire twice!! They each play their own sets, but also played 9 songs together in the show!! That was amazing!! I highly recommend "Questions 67 and 68" and "Saturday In The Park" by Chicago. And you will also like the ballads "Hard Habit To Break" and "You're The Inspiration" ( the album versions) !!

Chicago was formed in 1967.... Trumpet player has a distinct singing voice. Grab the album 'Chicago Transit Authority', which was their debut Their trombonist was on Toto's 'Rosanna'. Recently, their founding reeds player let it be known he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Ps: These guys toured with Hendrix and Joplin.

Dive DEEP into Chicago. They are an evolving band for a variety of reasons and all of their evolutions are top-notch and a beautiful sound.
From this particular lead singer you should listen to the songs If She Would Have Been Faithful and Will You Still Love Me.

Jason Scheff main vocals on this one and also wrote the song. Next best singer in CHICAGO after Peter Cetera left. Jason's dad played with Elvis Presley.

If you love old school, as you say, salsa then you definitely need to listen to Fania All-Stars if you haven't.
