I saw this American dipper foraging in a stream on a cold winter day. It's ability to submerge itself in icy water and move against the current to find food are impressive!

I have never heard of this little butter ball. So cute bobbing in and out of the water. He is so cute! I live in the south so that's probably why I didn't know about him.

Insect larvae and water bugs mostly. Also small fish and fish eggs.
