It’s not worth to come this year for sure. I have gone through a lot before I got my pr, but at least I got it. For those coming now, chances of receiving the permanent status are too vague. The government is changing the rules too quickly, you don’t want to spend your money on something so unpredictable
Thank you for all the good work being done. I want to find out, if you are coming to do a PHD and you are given full scholarship with stipend from the university, do you still need to show proof of funds
As someone who left Nigeria for the US back in 2013 at age 17 and now lives in Canada, I second a lot of what you said. If the home training get K leg and they don't follow rules. Whether you get money or not, there's no point sending them off to suffer. No amount of money will save them from what is waiting for them.

Thank you so much for sharing!! Most people don’t believe but I’m sure those that have discernment won’t joke with this part. Cos lots of children have become something else here
Regarding that know your child, I agree and don’t be too quick to send them off at an early age if they don’t have a strong foundation in home training or have skoi skoi in their head; especially cuz peer pressure is too real even for an adult. A friend of mine’s brother was sent to jail and deported afterwards cuz he got involved with bad influence that dealt with drugs. Of course he was in a study permit that expired while in jail and as he was finishing his jail term, he was put on the next flight back home! While on the other hand, another friend of mine sent her son to Covenant university for a year program to keep him more grounded and he came to Canada afterwards and is the best graduating student in his program. Canada is not for the weak and the freedom you have can either make or mar you! Great advice Asy as wisdom is only profitable to the wise!

At 21, I would suggest you do your first degree in Nigeria. Canada or any other country would be there as long as the world remains, and you can come here as a professional, even probably with your family.
@@walebalogunk no I don't agree with that story. In this present day Nigeria if anyone has the opportunity they should leave, I don't understand the notion of saying the girl should studying here first. Many 16 17 year old come to America, Canada etc for their bachelor's degree so I don't see any reason a 21 yr old girl who has the resources and finances should not study abroad. Everything in this life is choice if you take the good decision good for you but if you take the bad ones then destruction awaits the person, I believe a 21 yr old who is sensible enough and have the resources should not withhold their dreams of studying abroad. Not even forgetting Nigeria educational system which is rotten and corrupted to the core.
There's nothing wrong in leaving it on your resume. It is your experience that matters. You can write it as Huawei Nigeria, and put the location as Nigeria. It doesn't matter.
Mama Asy, for someone that the parents have the four year fee available in a dorm account, and i want to pursue Nursing. Would you advise i go ahead for Canada application? P/s- Parents are based in USA
The issue about this whole discussion is that everyone is just talking about Canada. Canada is nine countries rolled into one. What happens in Ontario is quite different from Quebec, they are different places and ways of life entirely. So, when you guys are asking questions about Canada, be specific about the Province. No one person can advise you about the journey in Canada, our experiences are different across the different areas where we live. Ontario alone is bigger than Nigeria, not to talk of Quebec. So, you need to be Province specific.
@TerenceMicheal10 Good, she has that, but PR does not mean in and out ANYTIME! You must keep calculating your out days....to avoid wahala. It's good to know she is back.
😂😂I went to eat! Yes I can go and come as I like. PR is renewable. It’s best to stay the 3years straight to get the citizenship fast but it doesn’t matter for many people how long it takes for them to get the passport
I will NEVER advise any parent to send their young kids to come to Canada at a young age. I came across a Nigerian kids who is 18. His mum brought him to Canada. You will not believe that this child never went to school. Could mot find a job. Started joining friends who are into yahoo stuff etc to survive. Meanwhile, his parents in Nigeria think their child is in school. Making matters worst, the child visa was due for extension. Due to his young age, he lack the experience and know -how on how to go about extension considering that he also have ro renew his passport. This made his visa expire. He is right now without a status in Canada and homeless because he cant work without a visa. If care is not taking, this child might end up committing sucide or go into full blown yahoo... I truly blame the parent for this because it makes no sense sending a very young chikd to Canada WITHOUT supervision. The only time i can recommend to consider sending your child abroad is to come to do ONLY masters. By that age, he or she would be matured enough to carry his or her cross.

Those who love education, choose a research/thesis based masters which are cheaper and usually comes with scholarship funding
