Even if you couldn't get full funding, do like half the league now and half next year or something. It'd be better for atleast some of the matches to have it. 13:50 It's a bad tackle. Why throw your leg like that and sweep it through? He was nowhere near the ball. Up to defenders to safely tackle, and he didn't.
As a RM fan, absolutely there should be goal line technology. This isn't an obscure league, it is minimum top 3 league in the world. The president of La Liga has time and time again shown how out of touch he is with the league and its proper needs. One point I do have to mention about the controversial goal is that 33, Cubarsi, was actually offside when Raphinha flicked the ball to Lamine. Him being offside causes interference with play and would rule out the goal, in or out.
they don't call OS for players as long as they don't touch the ball in the next touch. I have seen players score, tricking the defenders into thinking there was an offside. I do like your writing style, though.
I remember hearing that the refs aren't full time in Spain, not sure if they've changed that but a league like Spain should have full time refs. Stops favours being attractive to refs.
La Liga refs are the highest paid in the world! Some make over 350,000 euros since Rubiales presided de Spanish football Federation. The CTA decides who gets promoted, and those who are getting promoted are the ones that have the best record helping Barcelona.
That was changed a couple years ago. They could have another job alongside refereeing before that, but that didn't really ment they were struggling, they were still paid way more than the average spaniard and tended to have "comfortable" jobs alongside (iirc there were several lawyers, tax inspectors and the like), it's not like they needed another job to make ends meet.
If they issue a replay it will be from the moment of the bad call. So it is only actions after that point that get voided. There was a replay some years go in Norway after a team played the last 2 minutes with 12 men, and it was only that part they replayed. Still won't ever happen though.
He'll burnout and everyone will be sad. The game time he's getting so young is INSANE. Really hope to be proved wrong on that though as he's such a joyous talent already.
I'm not a Real Madrid fan but I do have a lot of respect for the club and shift heavily towards it in the Barca vs Madrid debate. I don't know if it was a goal or not but I kinda wish it was just so Lamine could've got on the score sheet.
Going to share a couple of facts before haters start claiming robberies. - It was the first penalty against Barcelona after 32 rounds! Yes they haven't suffered a single penalty since the beginning of the season! - Laporta voted in favor of Tebas salary raise. Only Two clubs voted against Tebas: Real Madrid and Athletic de Bilbao. According to the newspaper ElEspanol: Javier Tebas' LaLiga surpassed its own record by spending €36.23 million on advertising, advertising and PR, as detailed by the employers' association in its accounts for the 2022/2023 season. LaLiga has exceeded €150 million spent on advertising, propaganda and PR over the last five years, with this investment having been almost €100 million from August 2020 to June 2023. Make your own conclusions, somehow they can spend a fortune on advertising but don't want to invest $ 3 million on goal-line technology. Barcelona voted for this. Now they want to complain about not having this technology. LOL
It was FC Barcelona from 2016 to 2018, years in which the Barca club paid 1.4 million euros to which he was then vice president of the Technical Committee of Referees, the former Enríquez Negreira. During those three years the Catalan team had 33 penalties in favor and three against. An immense difference that even has a more significant fact: Barcelona was two whole years (and therefore two full leagues) without being a penalty against him. From February 14, 2016 to February 10, 2018, Barça's rivals did not enjoy any penalty in favor. There were 76 consecutive days without a single penalty against Barcelona. At that time 224 penalties were pituated in LaLiga: none went against Barça. In the 2016 League the Catalan team a historic record in the First Division. 19 penalties whistled in the same season, one every two games. No one ever had so many in favor in a single course.
@@RaulEdu33 hmmm, a team that averaged 66% possession and the most touches in the opposition box, received more penalties than they conceded? NO WAY???? You got no shame talking about 2015-2018 as a Madrid fan after that scandalous 2016/17 season
But wait, there is goal line technology for UCL matches. Dont tell me ultra modern Bernabeu don't has GL tech installed there. They chose NOT to use it.
Clubs can't arbitrarily choose to use or not use something like that. The football association has to approve. But in reality, the last time it was discussed Barcelona was against it's introduction, and Madrid was in favour. This is simply karma
You used the example of England not getting a replay for the Maradona "Hand of God" but I think a more prescient example, given that it involves the same sort of situation is Lampard's no goal vs Germany in 2010 WC. That was immediately obvious upon reflection that it had crossed the line, yet there was no discourse at the time on replaying the match (perhaps because it was a World Cup with a tight schedule, but still). I think it would be silly to replay this match. Especially as it's not as if they've resolved it by now having GLT. What if that happens again in the replay lol
So frustrating, the Eredivisie (Dutch League) doesn’t use it either. My favorite team (Feyenoord) DOES have it - as do Ajax and PSV - but because the other teams don’t have it, we aren’t allowed to use it. It’s seen as unfair to the other teams, which is the dumbest reason I’ve ever heard…
Every single league is ridiculous. Remeber that City only went to the final of the UCL last year because of a ball that left the pitch into the build up to a goal and the ref did not catched it.
I'm not mad about LaLiga not having GLT. I used to think they instead have cameras set up at the goal line so the VAR can check themselves if it's a goal or not. But the fact that they're able to call 1mm offsides but not if a goal is past the line that's what makes me mad.
1:51 LaLiga doesn't make 2 billion Euro per year. If you look at the text directly under the title it says ''The league has finally returned to profit after suffering losses in the last two seasons.'' But the point does still stand, even if the amount they make per year is significantly overexaggerated.
Here's a fun little story. Once upon a time in 1970 or around that time, Real Madrid wanted to buy a player from my country named Nicolae Dobrin. He was a very talented and technical player and the problem was that they couldn't just buy him, because of the Iron Curtain, so Real had to negotiate with our government. Funny thing is, in the negotiations, the Spanish government also intervened on Real Madrid's behalf, trying to make the transfer happen. Negotiations failed, but I always found it odd that the Spanish government would try to intercede on behalf of a private club like Real Madrid.
I never watch laliga but I watched the match on Sunday and when the commentator said there's no goal line technology in laliga I was like he's joking right.... right?
Just for argument sake, the Vasquez thing. If I remember correctly, in the second half, Yamal makes a similar move to Vasquez and gets, in my opinion, fouled. And no penalty is given. Rudiger also made a bodycheck on Fermin Lopez in the box, which then ref just waves off and there isnt even a VAR check for what certainly looks to be an intentional foul. Once again, not trying to hate on anyone, just for arguments sake.
Laporta asking for a replay is pretty dumb imo. He has a massive say in how laliga runs. its him, tebas, and perez that basically run the league. they couldve put it in. he has a massive say and him not doing it intentionally or not is im leaving it up to human error and accepting that human error happens. if thats the case then he cant ask for a replay because of human error
What I was initially thinking was, couldn´t they just use the same technique for that incident then for offside? Draw a line on the part of the ball thats the closest to the line and then, well, draw a line on the back of the line and look if it´s past or not.
Now I am confused.. I would think that both Real Madrid and Barcelona would have the technology already installed in their stadiums due to the Champions League games they play year after year, where they use that technology. Do they have it installed and just do not use it in La Liga as the competition itself does not have the technology, or do they install it for those games and uninstall for other? It baffles me.
It was a goal. Funny enough there is a vlog youtuber that sits almost perfect and filmed it. From his view, which is somehow better then the official cameras, you can see it better. Name is ViscaBarca, barcelona fan which is funny since he instantly requests goal line technology to check. Seems like nobody knew about it.
Barça pulling a Racing Genk by trying to force a replay, Genk luckily didn't get what they wanted because that would havbe set a really really bad precedent. I wouldn't be surprised this would happen in La Incompetenta ... I mean La Liga.
I am mad at La Liga, of course, but hey look, last year Espanyol got relegated for a goal that awarded to Atletico that we don't know if it crossed the line or not. But this was put to a vote, out of all the 42 teams in Primera and Segunda, only Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid voted in favor of having goal line technology. It sucks because we will never know if it was a goal or not, but reap what you sow. And Tebas, being the moron he is goes on Twitter and gives times that goal line technology didn't work, from seven years ago to justify La Liga not having that. Again, this is the guy 40 out of the 42 teams in La Liga, keep voting to raise his salary and to keep him in place.
Only two out of 42 voted for it??!! If that's true, I can't even..... 😂 are all the rest of the club presidents part of a Mafia or something, not wanting a system that goes against cheating??
Can we not give the Florida government the idea that they can replace their radar system with one guy that has binoculars? Sounds like a cost cutting measure they would be happy to do.
What's the difference between this yamal goal disallowed cause of no goal line technology and the offside run of one of your previous videos that was stopped cause of var that was a question of millimeters?
2:03 only €12 million profit when they make €2 billion? That €3 million is 25% of the entire profit. (20% including his extra salary that it was spent on instead)
I don't think it was a goal, even with the picture from the thumbnail. The ball has the be behind the line ENTIRELY, and the angle from which the picture is taken will always make the ball appear further inside the goal than is actually is. A picture from straight above or from the corner would probably reveal that a small part of the ball is still on par with the goal line, and a small part would be enough for it to not be a goal.
also i think the more crazy calls are the little ones cuz tellme how is kounde geting a yellow for going for the ball and being smack talked by vini but modric can step on nkles 4 times and only get one yellow same with cama vinga and rudiger cmavinga did the same thing araujo did againt psg but didnt even get a warning
No, it does not. The equipment can be placed and removed depending on the rules. UEFA has its rules with goal line technology, the Spanish league has its different rules. Before a match is played the referees and the observers inspect the stadium/pitch to make sure everything is in order, a day before or a few hours before the match. So, if a pitch wouldn't meet UEFA rules, the match wouldn't even take place unless the pitch/stadium meets those requirements. So the stadium must always comply with the rules of the competition/event it's hosting, installing and removing things depending on the event/competition.
Wait, waiiiitttt. ANY club competing in UEFA continental competitions must have Goal line technology. So if youve been in Champs Lge, Europa Lge or Euro Conf Lge since 2017 it is already at the stadium, thats gotta be at least half of La Liga, right?

#LaLigaisajoke
the video that was more teased than the endgame
funnily, the same thing happened around the same time at River v Boca
Green lights. Chocolate turtles. All memes aside, still loving the content and commentary! Keep it up homie.
That is actually insane that they don't have goal line tech.
Lamine Yamal I swear is actually doing so well for Barca and then ofcourse all of a sudden this happens, the youngster is stuck at Barca
record broken- youngest player to get fucked over by tebas
He is only 16. He is not yet a world-class player
@@Adam-l2g facts. People are putting way too much pressure on a kid
@@Tonynotsoprano true👍
He'll burnout and everyone will be sad. The game time he's getting so young is INSANE. Really hope to be proved wrong on that though as he's such a joyous talent already.
Did this game happen before or after that Almería Game?!
It's not Athletic de Bilbao, just Athletic Club. Bilbao is not in the name
The radar analogy is perfect. I live on the gulf coast and I can’t imagine haha
If I had 2bn, I'd have goal line technology, and I'm not even a football league.
I hereby declare the Anthony our new unit of measurement
It's like the Carabao Cup semis this season. Boro didn't have VAR, so Liverpool - Fulham couldn't use it in the first leg
Every single league is ridiculous. Remeber that City only went to the final of the UCL last year because of a ball that left the pitch into the build up to a goal and the ref did not catched it.
didn't they win 5-1 in aggregate? a bit of a stretch to call they passed bc of it
You know, you could say that this entire situation is a disgrace.
A f*cking disgrace!
Frank Lampard says “Hi”
Thanks TH-cam man for giving me my opinion
I'm not mad about LaLiga not having GLT. I used to think they instead have cameras set up at the goal line so the VAR can check themselves if it's a goal or not. But the fact that they're able to call 1mm offsides but not if a goal is past the line that's what makes me mad.
1:51 LaLiga doesn't make 2 billion Euro per year. If you look at the text directly under the title it says ''The league has finally returned to profit after suffering losses in the last two seasons.''
But the point does still stand, even if the amount they make per year is significantly overexaggerated.
Impeccable Noggin
YEs we know. We've all known that for decades it's no coincidence the team that keeps winning is SUPPORTED BY THE KING.
Because its the club that represents Spain
@@odaialloh3089 Are you talking to me?
I never watch laliga but I watched the match on Sunday and when the commentator said there's no goal line technology in laliga I was like he's joking right.... right?
I went for a run today. Thanks Z
How do you deal with losing your hair? Il be in the same situation in a few years. Do you have any coping methods?
What I was initially thinking was, couldn´t they just use the same technique for that incident then for offside? Draw a line on the part of the ball thats the closest to the line and then, well, draw a line on the back of the line and look if it´s past or not.
The VAR cameras don't have the right angle for that
The VAR cameras don't have the right angle for that
Now I am confused..
Yeah nah, one look at the goalies hand placement should tell even the densest person that is a goal
I also think it's a goal. Even accounting for the angle, I think the ball crossed the line.
3 MILLION TO A COMPANY IS LIGHTWORK! JUST PAY UP AND GET GOAL LINE TECHNOLOGY!!!
Nah no goal line technology is crazy , so I guess that photo of the goal where the ball is a bit out isn’t real.
SOME OF THE TEAMS ALSO ALREADY HAVE IT SET UP FOR EUROPEAN COMPETITIONS
Barça pulling a Racing Genk by trying to force a replay, Genk luckily didn't get what they wanted because that would havbe set a really really bad precedent. I wouldn't be surprised this would happen in La Incompetenta ... I mean La Liga.
Goal line technology
to see if it's a goal or not, the way to go is from an angle above the ball, plus first barca goal is questionable...
Can't wait for Z to analyse Chelsea's absolute capitulation last night.
North London Forever. Whatever the weather. ❤️🤍
Laporta asked for everything except Goal line technology
1/33 of am antony😂
What's the difference between this yamal goal disallowed cause of no goal line technology and the offside run of one of your previous videos that was stopped cause of var that was a question of millimeters?
0 new channel memes? the real Zealandism fall off
2:03 only €12 million profit when they make €2 billion? That €3 million is 25% of the entire profit. (20% including his extra salary that it was spent on instead)
Great video aside, why do you have the trending page in Iraq on Twitter?😂
Left Foot Penalty, Right Foot Dive; lets be fair, that's a penalty and yellow card for Vasques
What about putting on a tracksuit?
Does this mean that if a European cup final(or international game) is played in a Spanish stadium there wouldn't be goal line technology?
No, it does not. The equipment can be placed and removed depending on the rules. UEFA has its rules with goal line technology, the Spanish league has its different rules. Before a match is played the referees and the observers inspect the stadium/pitch to make sure everything is in order, a day before or a few hours before the match. So, if a pitch wouldn't meet UEFA rules, the match wouldn't even take place unless the pitch/stadium meets those requirements. So the stadium must always comply with the rules of the competition/event it's hosting, installing and removing things depending on the event/competition.
Awesome, thanks for clearing that up!
There are third party calculations by FANS that show the ball being behind the line… but holy shit how is that not CLEAR
Wait, waiiiitttt. ANY club competing in UEFA continental competitions must have Goal line technology. So if youve been in Champs Lge, Europa Lge or Euro Conf Lge since 2017 it is already at the stadium, thats gotta be at least half of La Liga, right?
funny thing is the clubs voted for or against this technology, it isnt a tebas fuck up (for the first and last time ever lol)
Its not football, its la liga.
