It’s so funny that in England a house built in the 1960’s is a ‘modern’ house.

She doesn't cook but wants a large kitchen and garden to grow vegetables!

The owners of the other Part of the barnconversion are very happy not to get her as a neighbour, I suppose - at first a bottle of champain!!!

Firstly may I just say...I think it would be really nice if the presenters introduced themselves, at least occassionally or maybe it could be written below or at the start of the episode eg hi I'm Jules and today we are in a lovely part of Wales etc have been watching on and off for years both on TH-cam and the TV but still I only know Jules & Alistair... This lady's parents are in their 80's and NOW she wants to spend time with them and have them round to lunch...might she have left it a tad late? What is she going to do with all of her veges and why does sne need a large kitchen just to make tea??? Btw that bakery was amazing..could do with some of those in Australia

She was very clear that she didn't want a "attached" home. I think the pillow on her couch that said it's time to drink champagne and dance on the tables might give a clue as to why she wants her privacy LOL🎉

I’m watching this video, waiting for the moment in which the buyer says something that warrants the rude comment that CaponeCabin made. So far, all the buyer’s done has been to express her reservations about the properties she’s being shown. My only criticism regarding the buyer is that she clearly hadn’t stipulated from the start that she didn’t want neighbors too near. In the end, she-like everyone else-has a right to her likes and dislikes.

Agreed. She did, however, say at the very beginning that the house had to be detached. But yes, being on the edge of a village, and not rural, I think automatically means there will be neighbors.

@@meganseastrom5467 Exactly. Sometimes, you have to realize that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. She wanted the advantages of a nearby village, but without the neighbors that typically go with living near a village. Oh well-I wish her the best in her search for the life she wants.

She did say quite early on that she did not want to be "overlooked" - of course everyone has their own sense of what that means.

Why is she selling? Why doesn't she just move her parents in her current house? Just crazy how people don't think. 🤪

She didn't really say, but I'm guessing it's either an issue with stairs or that her parents are unwilling to leave Yorkshire.

If her parents are as 'nice' as she is they probably wouldn't want to move at their age anyway.

Good idea! She likes shopping, so a village is not a good idea, her parents wont be there for long

Tough brief - not remote but also not overlooked at all and detached. Mystery seemed good if she can negotiate the 'other' plot.

You don't want neighbors but does your budget afford you 5 acres to yourself? You probably would make a crappy neighbor that no one would want

      A very just comment.
Some people are total dreamers. Thankfully our international neighbours have sold up and moved on.
Wanted a slice of New Zealand countryside but were total townies.
They refused to listen to advice from the farming neighbours and had three times the number of stock that their acreage could feed. Those poor starving animals.
They showed a total disregard to our NZ laws in view of preserving our natural waterways etc and were letting their stock into the creek to drink as they refused to put in water troughs for the cattle. All waterways have to be fenced on farmland to prevent stock from damaging our natural waterways and wildlife.
Their cattle kept breaking into our property because they were starving, causing so much damage to our trees etc.
l wish them the best and I’m pleased they finally realised they were not cut out for farming and have settled back into city life.
