What a pleasure to watch your video. As a child my father would often take us up here to sight see, camp out and fish and go to Native Americans celebrations. Back then the roads were very primitive and barely accessible. Coming down the road to the Valle Grande was always a step into heaven. The sights were so wonderful, which you captured here. The scenery was so breathtaking. Capturing the herd of elk and also cattle grazing, the rains crossing over the Valle. There are no words to describe, only filming defines it best, sans the fresh rain on the grass mixed with the pines and dirt. What a wonderful nostalgic journey I had with you. I even got to see parts of this huge ranch We were unable to access back 60 yrs ago. Thank you for another unforgettable journey. Yes I’ve watched other vids you’ve posted of places our family frequented . You’re work is so beautiful and the music so spot on. I was actually surprised how pristine these areas still were. Back in the day this was a working ranch owned by the Baca Family, if memory serves me . It was was inaccessible to “ tourists”.
    Well done. Will be sharing.

Thank you so much! This was the goal of the channel, to take people to places they might not be able to get to, and share the splendor of the area. I did not want to ruin the ambiance by my talking, so I choose music to set the mood. I am so glad you enjoyed! The Caldera is really special.
      Thank you for commenting!

@@110westoverland You captured very well for us frequent visitors our childhood memories. . Not speaking was a perfect way to convey the breathing taking view. Yes made me so terribly homesick. Other places I’ve traveled with you were Southern Colorado. Which has given me that same joy yet deep heartache of homesickness. ❤️

This was lovely and informative. We will be near there mid-October and I think we'll visit. We had thought about going to Bisti Badlands, but my wife is nervous about getting lost. This looks like if offers more scenery and would be a better choice.

Yes, it will be much better than Bitsi. You might be a little past peak for the Aspens but it will still be very beautiful.

Valles Caldera is 30 miles SW as the crow flies from my home.
