These are wonderful. Maybe next Control Kitty will ask just how Dr. Johnson assembled all those volunteers for his test. Where they representative or self-selected? A bunch of caffeine habituated javaheads who responded to an ad in the coffee shop? Double blinded to reduce bias? I could see another video on randomization and sampling frames. I'm sure David Glass's book goes into all that, but well, I have a shelf full of related books and I'm unlikely to benefit from and want to buy another. Unless maybe he hooks with another clever video or two. Go Kitty!
I am aware that negative control (Decaf group) is essential to be tested, however, Kitty needed to mention the importance of testing the blood pressure of the same volunteers before drinking and after drinking the caffeine. Because we are not sure if the volunteers themselves have any health issues. some people might have diabetes, and others might have already high blood pressure during the experiment. we can not confirm our decisions by these basic findings.
A quick question: If we only want to see the effect of caffeine on the subjects, isn't it sufficient to just let the volunteers drink coffee and decaf coffee? If drinking fluid has an effect, for example, then it would be affecting both groups anyway

It shows that the changes in blood pressure are due to general fluid consumption, not specifically coffee
