- and we are back with another travel series.. this time to the motherland !!!! (+korea again lol) please take this vid with a grain of salt yall LOL the girls were a little dramatic and also saying a whole lot of nothing here idk... but we keep the video for the travel plot and the tina lore

i'm sorry yall i realized while editing this that im just saying a whole lot of nothing LOOOOOL like i didn't even talk about my duolingo era or even why we're flying to saigon first and not cam ranh etc and tbh not that yall care but sometimes i want to make sure i got all my points in
and girl just ignore the trauma dump part, i left the montage in for some context, but i realize that since 80% of the trauma dump is gone the context isn't really coherent but it was still a fun time to listen too LOL i thought it was funny idk the girls are here for the delivery of the stories
anyways that doesnt even matter anymore cause we are back in Canada and i feel like 70% of the things i talked about in here arent a good representation of the actual trip,, but we're keeping the points in bc it was still part of the planning process despite things not going as plan ?

as we can see i kept the MacBook theme for the intro LOL its a hard time deciding new themes for each travel series which is why i feel like its always delayed by like 2-3 months cause the girls are indecisive about it

girl your emotions are so valid! i went to the philippines earlier this year for the first since like 2006ish, and let me tell you i was SO scared and worried about what everyone was going to say about me and my body. a majority of the relatives i saw always had something to say, but as much as it bothered me, i didn't want their words to ruin my entire trip. it never gets easier, but i do hope that you enjoyed your trip! i always look forward to your travel videos. seeing you in your travel era inspires me to go on my own trips 💝

Girl this hit me right in the feels, whole my life I have been experiencing body shaming from my relatives, im from a slavic country and here the moms and aunties are brutal. Just the other day my grandma said to me 'if you were able to give 10 kg to your mom (my mom is tall and skinny), that would be so beneficial for both of you) and started laughing... the way my stomach dropped its crazy. Even though I am used to this type of remarks and body shaming, it never gets easier :/

omg! i felt this in my soul i’m also vietnamese and have avoided going to vietnam since my high school graduation trip bc of the body shaming by absolute strangers or neighbors that would come to visit our house. i could just be minding my own business walking outside and a random uncle will have something to say. i want to say i’m used to it but it honestly does not make it easier 😭 but i do hope you have a great time with your sister!! those aesthetic tik toks of saigon and hanoi also make me want to go visit the motherland!
