✘SYNOPSIS: In a world where magic is real and gifted for a chosen set of people, war is brewing between those who wield power (Grisha) and those who secretly wish they could. In need of a Military General, the King decides to hire a special Grisha who holds the power of summoning darkness named Aleksander. As his desire for more power builds over the years, he meets Mary Starkov, a non-Grisha woman he immediately falls in love with, and she as well. They’re in a blissful relationship until the Shadow Summoner’s greed grows until he can’t escape it. And as he makes and puts plan into motion to generate even more power, Mary starts to question if staying at his side is moral. Luckily for him, Mary soon figures out she too has the powerful ability to summon an uncontrollable element-the Sun. Aleksander sees this as an opportunity for them to team up and pull a coup on the King. However, Mary doesn’t want to reign over the nation, she just wants to be with him. But deep down, she knows she can’t. Mary searches for a way to stop Aleksander but finds another option. She can expel her powers, in order for him to not be able to use her power for malice. Upset, Aleksander moves forward with his plans to overthrow the king. However, Mary acts quickly and tries to kill him. Unsuccessful, she’s captured by the King and executed. In a state of shock and horror, Aleksander creates the fold and launches his war, with his loyal Grishas, against the King. He’s mournful and regretful for getting Mary killed, but decides to fake his death and re-emerge hundreds of years later for revenge, but this time with Mary’s descendant and fellow Sun Summoner… Alina Starkov.

OH MY GOD. This is PERFECT. I am so in love. I wanted this crossover the moment I watched Shadow and Bone and I"m so glad you did it (and so beautifully too). The first scene, of her dancing and him watching fits PERFECTLY. I love how you constructed the story as well, with Alina's narration over the top. it was perfect. Also the 'make me your villain' was so well placed. One of my favourite scenes is at 2:41 - 2:45 it just works so well. Like the movements working together - such a hard thing to get right in crossovers. Thank you for making this!
the whole time i was watching the show I couldn't stop thinking about him and mary together in an AU story. luckily for me, a lot of their scenes match up pretty well with each other! ngl the scene you pointed out is one of my favorite scenes as well since it sorta signifies her holding back her powers (or maybe she's given em up already idk lol) - but yeah thanks so much for watching, i very much appreciate it 🖤

How did I not see this earlier!? OMG. This is absolutely stunning! Honestly I lack the words to explain how breathtaking this video is. The story felt so real, the manips were amazing, and the whole pacing / timing with the song ... I especially love 3:18 how you combined the music with her death and the creation of the fold. The Darkling / Mary is true OTP material. Is there ANY chance of a second video with this couple?
