I got vg32vq 1440p HDR10. Even if it's not 4K, I can still enable 'Allow 4K' on the xbox one x. That together with 'Allow HDR10' makes my tv uses the resolution 3840x2160p when playing only HDR games and not 4k only games. It doesn't matter if I choose 1440p or 1080p, still change itself when playing HDR games and HDR GAMING/HDR CINEMA is activating. But when changing the resolution itself to 4K UHD it's flickering a lot, and then it looks like it doesn't support it. Is this THE option to use HDR on the monitor as it should be? ( cannot turn hdr on manually on the monitor, it does this automatically)

I have a 4k tv everything says 4k, but under playing games it says native 1080p. Why?
Apparently your suppose to leave it at 8 but because the Xbox automatically switches to 10 bit when hdr is activated and all sdr content is 8 bit
I have a 55" 4k curved Samsung. It has hdr. Expect a little more in game lag compared to game mode although I've reduced it to minimum by turning off contrast, turning down sharpness and other settings. You have to tinker with a lot of settings both console and TV to get the best performance possible. The results are delicious though😂😂
I have a 32 inch curved monitor, with the Xbox one X and it won’t let me use 4K. Do I need like a 4K supported HDMI cord or what? I’ve been looking everywhere and I don’t know how to use 4K

Just got series x. Had og xbox one. How do I get 4k textures from my old xbox games.
Some xbox OGs dont have "HDR10" nor "Xbox Enhanced" combined as much. Go to system capabilities on each game you have to see.
Can somone help I've got hdr set on the TV and the xbox looks great but why does all the UI and everything outside of the game look horrible
Xbox Series X and One X UI (Dashboard) runs only at 1080p which on 4K tv looks terrible or muddy as some say. They need to update it as even PSPro UI runs at 4K.. Suggest changes to Microsoft if possible.

Hdr is mastered in limited or low color space . Pcrgb is broken on the Xbox . Use limited rgb

you might have to enable the 4k output on your tv, that worked for me. go to input settings and enable the full hdr setting

why 50hz why not 60hz option? will 50hz work for 60fps games?
XBOX One X runs natively at 60Hz (59.94), so there’s no need to use 50Hz option unless you’re watching european/australian/asian TV or DVDs/Blu-Ray Discs on it I think.
Everything is checked expect for 50hz and there is a white circle with a explanation mark on it what does that mean and why it would let me do it
No need to worry about 50hz unless you are in UK or Europe

Josh Perrault check the color option on your tv,it will get rid of a lot of the washed out look

and ycc 4:2:2 explain that option
You want to leave the color fidelity to 8bit, Because then you get the best fidelity for SDR GAMES. And like you said, it auto switches to 10 bit anyway as long as you have the allow 4k and allow hdr boxes that is the correct setting leave on standard as hdr is limited RGB range. Unlike the PS4 which gives you the option of automatic on the RGB settings and it auto switches from full to limited,
I learned that hard way. Thanks for suggestion this video was made early when they launched these options.

okay i was messing with my xbox one x display settings and now i get that message saying 4k won't work on your tv. on tv details i get 4k for apps and games is turned off to turn it on back up and allow. but everytime i try to allow it i get that message saying 4k won't work.

Misleading title. This doesn't show anything new. This isn't a HDR calibration update tool like what was added to the ps4 pro, this is just how to set up the xbox picture settings.
Should I turn off HDR for fps games ??
no if you want too but that doesn't effect anything
if you want smoother lag time then turn on auto low latency mode in the xbox one X setting.
if your tv doesn't support that function then sorry
@@mollies13 so far I have only seen hdmi 2.1 tvs able to support allm and vrr is best for tvs with at least a 120hz refresh rate

Thats legit my problem it keeps telling me my TV isn't supported when itd a 2018 4k uhd with hdr10 idk wtf is going on been trying to get this to work for months to the point I went out and bought a 5k pc just to experience real 4k lmao what a joke these systems are tbh
