Man I’ve watched you for years now. Seeing Brodie grow up and get into hunting with you is awesome man. One day he’ll be scouting places for you taking you hunting. Love the videos man. Keep grindin
My favorite types of videos to watch!! Seeing the new generation of hunters grow over the years is just what makes it all worth it👍 I have enjoyed watching your son grow over the years on here and you teach him so well Bobby, it’s truly amazing seeing he has so much enthusiasm for the outdoors!!
Bobby, I grew up overseas and I was introduced to 410 when I was your son's age. Overseas, 410 shells are available in 2". My son, when he was your son's age, tried the 2.5" 410 shells and got spooked. I searched and searched, and I found someone in Pennsylvania that sells 2" 410 shells. My son is 8 years old now and I am just transitioning him to the 2.5". He has zero issues with the 2", it kicks like a 22 or a bb gun. Check out Chris with RSTshells, they're not cheap but it's priceless when your son shoots and enjoys it without fear or spookiness.
Fist shot is always the biggest shot of your hunting career other will be close but you’re first shot you’ll remember for ever and it’s awesome he shared it with you. #number1dad
Good to see young Bodiie getting out there taking after his dad he has a very good mentor a teacher in u Bobby these are memories that will last a lifetime I love seeing young kids getting outside doing outdoor stuff that's real living love u guys from yr neighbors in AUSTRALIA 🦘
Even though you and the crew had some epic hunts last season that many waterfowl hunters dream of especially those of us from the east (not including the coastal hunts), this has been my favorite series to watch since those AWESOME Alaska hunts last September. Anything to do with family and getting them into the outdoors, teaching them safety, how to clean up the area you hunt and be respectful of wildlife and property tops the list. Keep making memories and take it slow as you already know. Teal season will be there before you know it and then the grind of guiding season. 🦆🦆🦆
@@BobbyGuyFilms being a great family man definitely will steer you to slow down, have balance and make calculated decisions. He is 5 and he will get there when he is ready. Every Dad who hunts wants a little hunting buddy. Even if he tags along and helps for a few years that’s fine, he will eventually get comfortable and you can celebrate his first duck 🦆 or goose or pigeon etc… when it happens.
Hey Bob glad to see Bodie getting started with you hunting and love the ear protection at an early age, I know he's young and everyone know there gun is unloaded but in the future have the action open with him learning this at an early age will just make things safer for him. I know some people will say oh your exaggerating but I had someone one time load a 22 rifle without knowing it and dam near shot my roommates dog. So you never can say you cautious. Thanks for the video.
I use the t section of the MOJO stakes down low as a step... helps from tipping over too... love to see the boy or there seems like yesterday he was a toddler
Hey a good way for him to get used to that gun you should get a couple caliber adapters for that .410 shooters box makes them I would get one in 22 lr and 9mm so he can get used to the firearm and the recoil won't be as severe plus hell keep wanting to practice and will be a better shot when it comes to next season
Howdy Bobby you were always my favorite TH-camr I have been watching you sense your first video you have inspired me and I love you videos and you DUX gear that I buy I hope you have a blessed year of duck hunting and I hope you do the same for me Bobby I love your family you have beautiful kids and I hope that Fred is ok About his retirement bye I do hope I get to hunt with you very soon.
Wonder if letting Bodie shoot the 410 a bunch from a lead sled or something at pumpkins in your yard might make him a lot more comfortable with shooting it?
Get your son the poster with game photos on them teach him patterning at every range 20yds on. Get him shooting those game pattern targets he'll pick it up faster than you think.
A .410 is a tad much for a 5 year old. A .22 or a bb gun would be great. No kick and not loud, get him use to the action of shooting first then get bigger guns. He's just a tiny bit gun shy, no big deal. Dad showing him how to aim, a row of tin cans and a bb gun with a whole can of bbs would make that boys day and something he'll remember forever.
Quick question I have heard that a dove mojo will work in a teal spread but do you know if it will work in a mallard heavy spread and do you guide teal hunts
@ Bobbyguyfilms question about your wader ankle wrap I do a lot of deer hunting I wear but hunting bots the non lace up kind and my question is would that ankle wrap work for my kind of hunting I do not wear waders but my pant leg slides up when I put my foot in my boots can that ankle wrap work for that or is it strictly for waders?
Are there no fire ants where these dudes hunt? Here in SC if I leave a bird on the ground more than 30 minutes it will be so covered in fire ants that you can't pick it up. Its crazy how different this is and that they can leave them on the ground as decoys.
Wondering how old your boy is... I'm not here to tell you what to do, but the 410 is an experts gauge. Very hard to be successful with starting out. That's where a nice light shooting gas operated 20 gauge could be better for him. Just my humble opinion. Love your channel and seeing the new up and coming hunters joining the ranks.
he’s too small to shoulder the .410 and it kicks a bit too hard. A 20 gauge would be that much worse he’s 5. Kids do t start shooting a 20 probably until their 9 plus
Shoot I've never got the shot and I've had the C 3 times. With the exception of the digestive issues from having the C I'm good. Ready to go back to work tomorrow. So I can make that $$$ so I can buy some more hunting equipment. I doubt I'll be able to go hunting this year again due to the fact I'll soon be traveling again for work. 😭😭. However when I able to hunt again I'll be ready to go.
Why ring the neck of the birds? Is it to put it out of his misery faster? That is cool he brought his kid with him to hunt. @ how much did that hunt cost?

Such a great experience for the both of you! I loved the smell of a spent shell when I was a kid and still do today. Ha!😂

Proverbs 4:26 in the Bible: Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways
