omg i remember reading your tweet that your vlog footage was 80 min long and i absolutely commend you for cutting it down to a reasonable 27 minutes. i haven't read any SJM books but i've seen all your tweets and hearing you obsess over the series is making me excited to start it one day!! i'm so intimidated by how long the series is though, but you seem to be really enjoying the experience throughout, so that is a little more encouraging!
oh yea this one was definitely a headache to edit 😅 It is a lil intimidating at first but you end up sucked into the story so it flies by!!

I just finished Tower of Dawn but I literally had the SAME thought of “how did people wait TWO WHOLE YEARS after EoS for KoA!!!????”
Also I was SO sad after EoS too. Heir of Fire is my favourite out of the entire series. Second favourite would be Tower of Dawn and third favourite would be Queen of Shadows 💚
I’m so ready for Kingdom of Ash but also terrified because it’s just under 1000 pages hahaha

Ahhh have you read the assassin's blade yet?? that's definitely a must before queen of shadows 🙊 but don't be scared it's an amazing book 😏 AND YES TOWER OF DAWN IS THE STORY CHAOL DESERVES YOU WILL LOVE IT

I love this vlog so much lmfao read it in two weeks basically I did this too haha. Love the red queen books on your shelves and on camera at all times lol. Your vlogging and editing skills jumped out. SAME OMF I KNEW I'D LOVE IT BEFORE BUT I WAS COMPLETELY OBSESSED IN THE END LOL. Oh the cruel prince is on your shelves too and right next to acomaf you have taste. Ooh love the TOG shelf. Crown of Midnight is my favorite skfjg SJM is queen yes dkfjd. You read really fast like me ayee. Yeah Heir of fire flew off dkfjfk same keeps you reading. Yes same I really wanted to know what was gonna happen its my favorite series hands down and I read the whole thing this year like you. The beach is beautiful wow. WOW THE SUNSET THAT'S INSANE. I couldn't Stand Rowan until their friendship but even now he's a really flat character to me. Yeah I get into a daze too what even same. YES I DON'T WANT TO SPEED THROUGH I'VE MISSED THINGS AND LIKE YIKES. Yeah there's a ton of character develop its slaps. But yee the next book and romance definitely. Yeah I can always reread yess. ABSORB YES DJDJD. I read Queen of Shadows in a whole ass day I truly couldn't put it down omfskdj. YES GIANT FANTASY WORLDS She killed it with TOG I love it so much omf. I actually need some more fantasy books with male main characters like I really seek them out but I love me some celaena she's my favorite female character ever she's so powerful I love it. Yeah all the characters my babiesss. IT DOES GET BETTER WITH EACH BOOK SJDJFJ Yes it's very emersive. Empire of Storms is my least favorite in the series rip SAME LOVE ME A THICC BOOK but anyway I just don't like it as much because of some of the stuff that happened didn't make a lot of sense plus my favorite character wasn't in it lmao. I still definitely loved it like woww I thought about it for days after reading it. Tower of Dawn is my favorite and I love it so much because I love Chaol he's like my favorite book character ever. 'what' same my exact response to the end of that book djfkd. Yeah rip all the people reading it when they were coming out. Aw rip I didn't cry but I hurt so bad like wow. SAME I ACCIDENTALLY READ THE SUMMARY FOR KINGDOM OF ASH TOO DKFKFJF. You're a queen for reading it all in two weeks. I was so excited for tower of dawn and flat out loved it is my favorite next to Crown of Midnight and yes the new setting and characters yes Sarah is a mf legend. YES THE EMOTIONAL JOURNEY MY ASS CRIED SO HARD AT THAT. YRENE YES SHE'S SO GREAT OMF. Yes the strength she is my queen.

I literally love sassy characters so honestly, this makes me even more excited to dive into ToG lmao 😂 I'm so happy to see how quickly you're running through it too! your enthusiasm towards it makes me wanna go pick it up right now! p.s. your dogs are so cute! i loved this vlog & can't wait to see more

I totally just absolutely am heartbroken because I'd written the biggest chunk of a comment that I'd ever written for a video in my life and stupid me didn't press pause when the video was about to end to send it in, SO IT FREAKING GOT DELETED. You have NO idea how pissed I am right now, loll. But anyway, I was going to say a bunch of amazing things including how obsessed I am with this vlog!
1st. You should actually call this Throne of Glass SERIES Vlog because I had no idea you were going to actually read them all and it ended up being the best thing ever. So I think this title would actually make justice to all the effort that went into it from your part. WHAT AN EPIC VLOG.
2nd. I 100% agree that reading The Assassins Blade before TOG is the best decision because it gives you SO much background and so much substance before even starting the adventure. It's one of my favorite installments, but I read it way after starting with TOG!!! Heir of Fire is my favorite book in the series so far, but after that it kind of went downhill for me. I still have a LOT of faith in Tower of Dawn because I've heard it's phenomenal, but I didn't like how all the characters in her series became the same as it went on. I just got the feeling that they all fit into boxes and that Sarah had created stereotypes within her OWN characters. Male, strong, possesive, etc. But it's is one of my favorite series of all time nonetheless. OF ALL FREAKING TIME. So it was a whirlwind to watch this entire video! I'm so so happy that you got so invested in it and loved all the books this much!!! AGHHH my initial comment was so much better because I wrote it as I watched the vlog, but I did what I could with this one. One last thing: MAKE MORE VLOGS!!!! Katie, you're fabulous at them, I'm loving your channel!
omg nooooo that's the worst when that happens 😭 I totally agree with SJM making her characters kind of in a box - specifically the male characters all tend to be very hyper-masculine. It's definitely something that irks me and I keep in my head as I'm reading but nevertheless I still love this series so freakin much because it is SO epic in scope and we get so many bad ass female characters to look up to (and their personalities tend to be more nuanced and varied than the male MCs). I love making vlogs so it is definitely something I will be continuing to do 😋 I'm so glad you loved it Sophie, thank you so much for your wonderful comment 💕

I bought The Assassain’s Blade because of you lol. I have Throne of Glass sitting on my shelf and I’m excited to get into it. I’m worried I’ll be lost in the fantasy world but seeing how much you loved it, makes me more positive about my impending experience!
I hope you love it!! I think SJM does a really good job of layering in the world building and the fantasy world isn't as overwhelming as it sometimes is in other books!! let me know your thoughts, I'm excited to hear all about it 💕
Have you read the assassin's blade yet? It's five novellas that tell more and I loved reading it for 3rd time. TOG is an awesome series.
