    I love this design!! Actually, I found this herringbone rope much easier to follow than the video with the colored beads referenced. Your tip in this video that the 3 bead ( bronze , gold, bronze) combo goes down thru one bead , while the single gold bead (15/0) goes up thru two beads really makes it easy to keep track of where you are at! Thanks.

    🤔this bead robe is perfect I love the simplicity of it and how easy it comes together, I was making a Satellites Bracelet and was not happy with the rope and the beaded caps on the end of the rope after seeing this I think I will pull the ropes apart and make this rope for my Satellite beads 😹🤗 I love the way the 15/0’s sit so nicely between the 8/0s so much better than doing a 11/0’s herringbone robe that I had been doing 🤗 Thank you foreshowing this type of zipper herringbone robe I love the look of it🤗🤗🤗 (spell checker changed my rope to robe now fixed 😹😹😹)

      +Potomac Bead Company Ahah, I think she meant Jill Wiseman from Bedaholique - you have a similar style of explaining and video layout. Thank you for this tutorial though, I've followed it through and now I've got the prettiest bracelet :)

    I made this rope a while back and accidentally goofed up but loved the result. It's got a slight twist to the rope and looks awesome. What did I do? Did I perhaps go across and down one extra bead and up through 3 (rather than 2) instead of straight across and up through only 2? Additionally, this time around, using only 11/0 and 15/0's, I can't seem to get started because it's hard to fold over at the beginning because it's so tiny. I've had a brain far# and just can't seem to get the hang of it. Arrgh, please help at least with my twist question. Love, love, love your vid!

      Yahooeee, I figured it out after a nights sleep! To make the slight spiral, I came up through TWO beads on BOTH sides when adding just the 15/0's, not just up one bead on the one side when stepping up. Maybe I created a new stitch??? Probably not, but I haven't seen this one before - the spirals I've seen are bit more prominent. AND...substituting 11's for 8's makes for a much more delicate rope if you want to change it up.

    I'm confused as to how to add the 15/0s from the start of the rope

    Hey Allie loving this design. Wondering can this version of tubular herringbone be applied to twisted tubular as well or is only doable on regular tubular? Don't know if it will throw that twist off or not adding in a 15 because of the counts of the down 1 up 2 and then up 3 at the end to give it the twist, but a little less thread showing is always a good thing:) thnx!

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Anti-Social Hunter/Lady Dark Shade Yes you could make it without the "step up" to make it twisted. This would give it a nice effect. Have fun creating!

    I would prefer a little less descriptive talking about every little thing you do. I have to fast forward quite a bit

    • @Potomacbeadco
      @Potomacbeadco  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The problem is that if we are less descriptive, then we get even more complaints that we are not descriptive enough, so it is a catch 22. You can increase the playback speed in TH-cam.

    • @janetlyn523
      @janetlyn523 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You do a good job describing then. You can't please all of us can you? I'm sorry for complaining.
