He said that there is not a whole lot of speech I don’t know what he means but I think there is plenty of speech like ITS A FEEDING FRENZY and ROCK THE BOAT, WHOA YOU GOT ONE UNDER IN GREAT JOB GET THE NET UP TO THE TOP FOR JACKPOT WELCOME TO THE FISHING TOUNAMENT AND MORE.
@BlueCrayon77 Thanks so much BlueCrayon. I am glad you enjoy them. To be honest....I wish I didn't have to "shoot" them so quickly. I shot all of the segments in October 2009 before storing the games away (and still didn't get to two of them). They were all done over two days (notice some with hat and some without, ha ha). So I had to quickly get the shots and wish I could have lit it better or done a little more. But...thanks so much. I am glad you enjoy them!
One of the first games I mastered. Fish Tales is a lot of fun and the ball play and ramp angles and story were all a blast. Weird you'd have getaway next to it= which is probably my favorite game ever. I'd get a few billion on it regularly.
@Schwob94 Hey, thanks so much. I am glad you enjoy the vid! :) They do sell "decals" that you can stick on the playfield to, sort of, repair the damaged area. You know? I am not sure where you can get them anymore....but they "did" sell them. I would try the rec.games.pinball newsgroup. I'm sure they will know there. As for the music, I capture it using Visual PinMame. :) Thanks again.
@CEdwardson I worked for a decade in the TV / Video production field (mostly as an editor, sometimes writer and producer). On the side I always did some kind of performing (Mostly in theater) and am currently in NYC trying to pursue that part of myself. Blah blah.......enough about me. ha ha! Thanks for watching!
@chaosgreyblood Thanks for the compliment. I wasn't sure...that's why I wanted to check before I answered. I thought you were asking if I owned "just the cabinets." Like I said in the vid, I bought two different Fish Tales (which at the time were cheaper and easier to come by than they are now, you know?). And basically did a ton of tear-down and combining work. Ha ha. :) Thanks for wathcing.
As expected, another great pinball review Chris. How wierd is it that while Fish Tales wasn't too popular during its release, is a machine that gets the most play at the pinball shows. Was ahead of its time I guess.
@dickcheney6 The mylar playfields can have those problems, yes. Especially older games. They bubble, the inserts underneath tend to "raise up" and push the mylar up. Ugh.....it sucks. Ha ha. :) Good point on the balls. Always replace balls! Always! Those pits in the balls beat the crap out of the playfield. Thanks for watching.
I've been watching your videos for a while now, but haven't commented until now. Just wanted to say that I love the reviews of your pinball collection. Really look forward to each new video. Love the camera shots you get of the table, and it's fascinating to hear about the history of the machines. Keep up the great work, there's so many people that appreciate the effort!
@YalkOne Yes, they definitely did. There is nothing like "original" non-licensed concepts. I know that Stern has their reasons for always going with licensed themes, and I love some of their machines. But, I do miss the generic stuff once in a while. I mostly learned repairs from friends, operators and tweaking around myself. I also did a lot of online research.
@JamesmanXtreme Ha ha. I actually think it's a picture of Mark Ritchie, the designer of the game. But yeah.......I totally can see that. :) Thanks for watching, as always!!!!!
My best game was on this machine. PAPA (professional and amateur pinball association) qualifying tournament, Dec. 1993, pier 39 in S.F. 1 game, 2 hours and 15 minutes. It was a lot of fun. P.S. Your videos are very cool.
Nice review. Fish tales is also one of my favourites. It's maybe an easy pinball but still delivers great fun. I'm always attracted by the nice music :)
@ijawelijalij Thanks for subscribing! Unless you're playing on an official "pinball" machine setup somewhere and landing a high-score, it really isn't fair to submit anything. Games have so many variables to them from modifications made, possible prototype issues (like having a longer-size flipper bat verses short), plus most games aren't even working 100%. The variables for high scores is just too great to submit anyway, IMHO. :)
very cool! I must say that i have never seen this table before but it really looks cool. My thoughts are even if a pinball machine is not very popular, it is still a pinball machine and you will always have a blast playing it.
Thank you for this video spida1a! I showed it to my father tonight after discovering one listed on CraigsList near me tonight I'm looking into trying to purchase. I've always wanted to own a pinball machine and I loved this one when I was younger. Plus, my father loves fishing and I thought it would be fun to get one I know he'd enjoy just as much as me. Especially since I'll be storing it in his "fishing room" until I have a proper place of my own. Hope he does not try to keep it! LOL!
great pinball¡¡¡¡ i play a lot as a child. in spain there are fish tales everywhere, i want to buy one but are in a awfull conditions. i have to wait, nice vid chris
@avenuePad I know that the games overall are not prototypes (the boards underneath and inside the backbox would be "red"). But....it just seems like I have a couple of early-add ons. You know? So....I leave it alone. FT actually, in my opinion, plays better with the standard size flippers anyway. So, win-win. :)
Chris, I'm in the Detroit area. Funny thing is I used to play this when I was about 11-12 years old at all places a Walmart. Back then Walmart was only in a more rural area and my grandparents would drive out there from the metro area to shop and I'd play games by the front of the store. They would typically have two pins and several arcade games. I remember they had this and Addams family and a mortal combat ripoff game called time killers. Those were the days now Wal-Mart is everywhere and no more games for the kids at the front of the store.
@ijawelijalij I haven't picked up a burned ROM for the game since 2001 when I finished the machine. I am pretty sure it is the latest update...but I have no way to check now. :)
@TheLumberjackass It is quite fun. Hey, thanks for the compliment. I would "love" to do voice-overs. Since I am in NYC to pursue an acting / theater career, maybe who knows. I'll invite some VO agents to the next play I am in...ha ha. :) Thanks again!
So you didn't see Fish Tales for 5 years? Did you go to pinball conventions back then? Of course, there weren't as many conventions as there are today, but if I haven't seen a certain pinball machine for so long, that's where I usually find them.
@starwind3441 I would keep it regardless. I know the game itself isn't a prototype (the boards on the inside would be "red" or a mixture of "red"). But, it's a keeper! :)
@nlafavore No, ha ha. I didn't go to a pinball convention / show of any kind until 2002. But, back then (aside from there not being many of them like there is now)....I didn't even know of any of them.
i play that table right now on future pinball,and make a smoking break,with some weed;) first i think what for a creepy music,than i played that table,awesome,the sound effects are great,i love to rock the boat^^ ,awesome table^^
@crocodile2linux Totally! But, when you light that captive ball up with the Super Jackpot and can "whack" away at it a bunch of times.....MAN, it's satisfying, eh?! :)
Great video! I loved it! I have this one at a youth group clubhouse I belong to and it's a lot of fun! Like you mentioned in the video, ours has a lot of wear on the stringer of fish and the tackle box, and I was wondering if you knew of a way to repair that, as it looks pretty bad, but not too too bad. I was also wondering how you got the digital copies of the game music for your video, that was pretty nice too! :) Thanks!
that machine is awesome !!! it also looks like it'd great fun to play. really great vid my man. by the way, have you ever thought of doing voice overs for ad's, etc ? your voice is really original , i bet if you signed up with a talent agency they'd find you voice-over work , most definately.
God I played this pinball machine every day when I was stationed in Howard AFB Panama I loved it we all did. God would love to own one.
I love this pinball collection series. I have probably watched each video 3 times
@BlueCrayon77 Thanks so much BlueCrayon. I am glad you enjoy them. To be honest....I wish I didn't have to "shoot" them so quickly. Wow, incredible job refurbishing and combining those units!
i'm learning a lot about pinball and pinball collecting. thanks for sharing.
One of the first games I mastered. Fish Tales is a lot of fun and the ball play and ramp angles and story were all a blast. Weird you'd have getaway next to it= which is probably my favorite game ever. I'd get a few billion on it regularly.
This has to be my favorite pinball machine.
I played this machine at the movie theater when i saw Grown Ups 2 this summer
@Schwob94 Hey, thanks so much. I am glad you enjoy the vid! :)

@MrHitchcockFan You're truly welcome. And many thanks to you for watching and commenting my friend.
This game gives me some great memories of fishing at my friend's cottage over in Peterborough, where we used Fruit Loops as bait! Hahahahaha!
@misterintellivision It's a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!
@CEdwardson I worked for a decade in the TV / Video production field (mostly as an editor, sometimes writer and producer). On the side I always did some kind of performing (Mostly in theater) and am currently in NYC trying to pursue that part of myself. Blah blah.......enough about me. ha ha!

@svicciarelli Hey, you're welcome. I'm glad you are enjoying the segments. :)

@SemiBaked Thanks so much. I shot a bunch of these segments so.....bunch more comin'. :)
Sweet. Thanks for watching!
Once more, an amazing collection.
@Corad4 Yes, they are very difficult to find anymore. It's a different era now. You know? Thanks as always my friend!
@chaosgreyblood Thanks for the compliment.
I wasn't sure...that's why I wanted to check before I answered. I thought you were asking if I owned "just the cabinets."

Loved all of his reviews.
@121BigRed Very cool. Thanks for watching!

As expected, another great pinball review Chris. How wierd is it that while Fish Tales wasn't too popular during its release, is a machine that gets the most play at the pinball shows. Was ahead of its time I guess.
@dariodborbon Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Hey Chris great video as always and that Fish Tales is a very unique pinball machine in your collection of pins you have shown us so far.
@dickcheney6 The mylar playfields can have those problems, yes. Especially older games. They bubble, the inserts underneath tend to "raise up" and push the mylar up. Ugh.....it sucks. Ha ha. :)
Good point on the balls. Always replace balls! Always! Those pits in the balls beat the crap out of the playfield.

Can't wait for the table on Pinball Arcade!
I've been watching your videos for a while now, but haven't commented until now.

Did he say there is not a lot of speech what does he mean is it comen with a lot of pinball games?
COOL! and the whole fact you might have a prototype makes it even cooler!
@crocodile2linux That's for sure. Dangerous shot. Ha ha. Thanks for watching.
Its always great to see a new pinball review from your collection, thanks :)
@Wildcatbeer NOS = "new old stock." So, they're parts created back-in-the-day but never put on a machine. :)
@JamesmanXtreme Ha ha. I actually think it's a picture of Mark Ritchie, the designer of the game. But yeah.......I totally can see that. :)
Thanks for watching, as always!!!!!
@Konuvis He he. They can be a pain depending.
Thanks for watching.
Fish Tales Woowoohoo! Man, this table looks very unique.

@VinceLatello Sure. You can find my collection at the buccisarcade website.
The list of my current and previous games is there. :)
Nice review. Fish tales is also one of my favourites. It's maybe an easy pinball but still delivers great fun. I'm always attracted by the nice music :)
@delfmeek Thanks so my delfmeek! Means a lot. 'till next time!

@samo0701 Well...the "individual" overviews are finished. But, there are three more pin-vids planned if I can get to them. :) :)

Wow turbo collection and pinball!
Chris, I'm in the Detroit area. Funny thing is I used to play this when I was about 11-12 years old at all places a Walmart. That time rippers game was pretty gruesome you could cut limbs off the person you were fighting. lol Walmart would never al allow that nowadays.
@rhallnapa Thanks for watching!
@ijawelijalij I haven't picked up a burned ROM for the game since 2001 when I finished the machine. I am pretty sure it is the latest update...but I have no way to check now. :)
sweet..im a big fan of any thing history..you did a really good review on this i loved it !!
@Macintosh24590 Thanks for watching!
@nlafavore Tip for Getaway....just stay on the far left side and dodge only the cars on the left side of the screen. You'll beat it easy. :)
@TheLumberjackass It is quite fun.
Hey, thanks for the compliment. I would "love" to do voice-overs. Since I am in NYC to pursue an acting / theater career, maybe who knows. I'll invite some VO agents to the next play I am in...ha ha. :)
Thanks again!
@ikey1555 No Good Gofers? Great to meet someone who likes that game! That one is coming up at some point in these little overviews. ::)
nice greets from germany to all pinball heads
So you didn't see Fish Tales for 5 years? Did you go to pinball conventions back then? Of course, there weren't as many conventions as there are today, but if I haven't seen a certain pinball machine for so long, that's where I usually find them.
@nlafavore Ha ha. Yeah....kind-of. Most went overseas so, it wasn't as popular in US arcades as other games from that same year.
@starwind3441 I would keep it regardless. I know the game itself isn't a prototype (the boards on the inside would be "red" or a mixture of "red"). But, it's a keeper! :)
Thanks my friend. Sorry for the late reply. :)
@tonythepony100 That's awesome! Anytime I can get folks interest in the game of pin......hell, I'm happy. Ha ha.
great video, I just finished fixing my fishtales up I just got...great game :)
@VinceLatello Thanks friend!
@Bluevegas Thanks a lot my friend!!
Thank you for watching!!! :)
@spida1a I'm excited for your Getaway review since I'd love to hear your story about it!
@starsoldier1 Tiz fun my friend. Thanks as always!
@nlafavore No, ha ha. I didn't go to a pinball convention / show of any kind until 2002. But, back then (aside from there not being many of them like there is now)....I didn't even know of any of them.
@spida1a Do you have a list of what pinball cabs you have? Just trying to build up anticipation for the next vids.
@arn0ldaar0n I do not own Black Knight, no. I used to have a Black Knight 2000 for a little while. But, I do enjoy a game of BK once in a while. :)
@spida1a
Of course. What else would have meant?
Nice video!
@pinballdan Thanks my friend.
@Segadude3000 Thanks Segadude!
@crazyjohnnyable I believe it is Pat McMahon. That's what the Internet Pinball Database says about it.
Great vid Chris!
i play that table right now on future pinball,and make a smoking break,with some weed;) first i think what for a creepy music,than i played that table,awesome,the sound effects are great,i love to rock the boat^^ ,awesome table^^
@chaosgreyblood Own the cabinets? You mean the machines?
@vinnieblacklodge You got it my friend. Lots of segments more to go...eventually. Ha ha.
@dogmd7 Thanks my friend. I'm happy! Ha ha. :)
Look at the dudes hands on the side art ;) pinky thumbs. Now you will never be able to un-notice :)
@crocodile2linux Totally! But, when you light that captive ball up with the Super Jackpot and can "whack" away at it a bunch of times.....MAN, it's satisfying, eh?! :)
@lukethegreat29 It's cool. The cabinet just might be. Never know... :)
Great video! I loved it! I have this one at a youth group clubhouse I belong to and it's a lot of fun! I was also wondering how you got the digital copies of the game music for your video, that was pretty nice too! :) Thanks!
I think this was quite popular in Spain, I remember seeing it a lot.
that machine is awesome !!! it also looks like it'd great fun to play.
really great vid my man.
by the way, have you ever thought of doing voice overs for ad's, etc ?
your voice is really original , i bet if you signed up with a talent agency
they'd find you voice-over work , most definately.
Yes, Fish Tales has one of the funnest video modes, but the machine next to it, The Getaway? I always get killed in that video mode right away.
Top notch like usual
