    Great video! Loved your excitement and high spirits during the tour. Let me just ask you, around what time did you make those sunset recording ? I would love to stay for this view, but I'll have to be back soon to las vegas, so i worry about my schedule. Thanks

      Thanks so much! Sorry for the delayed reply. We got those shots right around 5:30pm in March (about an hour before the actual sunset time you can find on google). So if you get there about an hour before sunset you should get nice colors. Hope this helps! 😊

      We're happy you found it helpful! We were there in March and it was 50-60 degrees F. It looks like the average temp in November is in the low 50's. I would pack warm because it can be quite windy there too :)

      Thank you! When we were there in March there was about a 10-15 degree difference between Vegas and Grand Canyon south rim. It did get much colder at sunset…that desert sun really makes the difference! Hope that helps you out 😊 Have a wonderful time on your trip!

    How hard is it to watch the sunset at south rim and then head back to Las Vegas? How is the traffic on the way back?

    • @bildeylife5181
      @bildeylife5181  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s quite a drive, and would make for a late night. We didn’t head back to Vegas from the Grand Canyon. However, we did hit traffic coming into Vegas from the north at the end of our trip

      @@bildeylife5181, Thanks for your reply. Do you think it's too stretched to visit the South Rim from Levegas within a day? We changed the plan from the West Rim to the South Rim after reading so many posts.

    • @bildeylife5181
      @bildeylife5181  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We felt like it was doable and that we got a good taste of the south rim doing it all in one day. We left Vegas at 6am, got to the south rim at noon, and had plenty of time to do a 3 hour hike, eat lunch, and stop to enjoy alot of the look-out points over the canyon before sunset. I hope that helps with your decision :)

    Hi guys thank you for reading my messages would you guys recommend south rim, west rim? for children 3 years old and 8 years old ? Thank you God bless America

    • @bildeylife5181
      @bildeylife5181  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From our experience I think the south rim would be a great choice for a family with small children. We haven’t been to the west rim but we did look into it a little bit when trying to figure out which part of the Grand Canyon to visit. Some things that may be helpful to know: You can get in at the south rim with a national parks pass or pay the daily fee which I believe is $35, it is SUPER easily accessible…there are a few parking lots a very short walk from beautiful overlooks with a nicely paved rim trail (but it is not fenced off all along the path) and there is a shuttle that will take you to different view points. I believe the west rim is owned by one of the Native American tribes so they have their own fee, but that may be where they have the glass floor overlook you can walk out on. I hope that helps you out!

      P.S make sure to do some research on getting to the trailhead. You can’t park right at the trailhead but there is a shuttle that will take you there. We got lucky and found parking in a small lot by some bathrooms off of Desert View Drive …these are the coordinates to that little parking lot: (36.0459368, -112.0850576) it is about a 15 minute walk to the start of the trail from here

    • @bildeylife5181

      Not sure which one you’re referring to…these are the 2 towns we drove through in the video: The first one that we drove through is called Williams. It’s on historic Route 66 and about an hour from the South Rim. Tusayan is the tourist hub with fast food and hotels just about 5 minutes from the Grand Canyon entrance. Hope that helps! 😊
