Edelman was Welker's replacement as soon as he came to New England. If anyone has watched Belichick's "A Football Life," you'd know what I mean. If you haven't, I'll give you a quick rundown. "A Football Life: Bill Belichick" covers the Patriots 2009 season and shows flashes of Edelman's rookie season. Early in the video, they show Coach and Welker talking about wether or not Welker was suiting up for a preseason game against the Eagles. They show Edelman on a punt return that he turns into a touchdown. As he's running down the field, the commentator says, "this is Wes Welker in progress, and he looks JUST like him on the field. It's amazing." The following is a conversation that goes on between Coach and Welker on the sidelines: Belichick: "Ever heard of Wally Pipp?" Welker: "Wally what?" Belichick: "Wally Pipp?" Welker: "Uh-uh." Belichick: "Well, he played first base before Lou Gehrig." Welker: "Oh, OK." Belichick: "Well, he played first base before Lou Gehrig. Then Lou Gehrig started whatever it was, 23,000 straight games." Welker: "Right. [Laughs.] The little man. The little man (Edelman)?" Belichick: "That might be the punt return story (Edelman)." Welker: No doubt. He can have [the punt return job], man." Belichick: "Way to compete." Coach had already found Welker's replacement way before he was let go. Never doubt the Genius. In Bill We Trust.
Minitron. He's the new and IMPROVED Wes Welker. Wes went for the money, and was a thorn in Bill's side. Julian seems to be more like the good son/ the true Patriot/ patriotic to the core. >> I hope he retires a Patriot.
Weve been getting rid of star players for years now. Its how we've been so successful all these years. Although they should've signed revised instead of McCourty because they would've gotten Browner back too.
panasony23 You don't know what you're talking about dude lol Other than the superbowl, Welker never had drops. He had great hands, which is why that drop was so shocking. Idiots like you can only remember that 1 time he didn't catch it and you assume he did that often. Couldn't be further from the truth
Hugo Stiglitz yea, Welker was an AMAZING WR, but later with his run with the pats, he did drop the ball, pun intended. I remember the afc championship after SB 46, it was a crucial 3rd down and he was wide open, and dropped it. I may not know every thing, I go by what I see
panasony23 He may have dropped it when it mattered but to say he dropped it way too many times is just ignorant. The guy never dropped the ball. He had amazing hands, except when it counted LOL It sucks but it's true
Such a cool guy. Great segment!

I don't know if anyone will retire a patriot other than Tom Brady the way we randomly fuckin get rid of players for no reason like Revis
if they release edelman they would lose 30% more games

AlisaBosconovich Mccourty was a bigger need in my opinion. He's the 2nd best safety in the league next to Earl Thomas
OGKiid94 To be honest we could pluck duron harmon back there, If we still had revis and browner i doubt mccourtys abscense would be a problem
I can't get enough he melts my heart love him.
JE11 is a beast
1:30 "Listen buddy just take a bite out of the fucking burger" 😂😂

Awesome
Julian rocks. Turns it up a notch in the playoffs too.

Jules has knocked up two Supermodels who will deliver 5 months apart. (Thank God) Go Jules. It's always the quiet ones.
incredelman!!!
The girl in the pink cardigan keeps standing in shot behind him lol
JE11 nuff said
so cute
I noticed his forearm scar. Does anyone know how he got it? Google had nothing.
Kam chancellors hit in the superbowl gave him his scar
Thanks, Fernando. Good thing women dig scars, lol.
+Mia Kim he's apparently broken both his forearms so that's probably from that lmao
Edelman and LaFell> Welker and Moss.
I wouldn't go that far. Moss was a WAY better receiver than LeFell. But Welker. Too many drops
panasony23 You don't know what you're talking about dude lol
