Same, 2003 was the year I started watching NBA, playing basketball at the park, and playing this masterpiece :) we were blessed to have lived through the 2000s era, and witnessed all those amazing players!
This game, 2k9 and 2k20 were my favorite NBA games all time. Yo the fact that Shaq was a 96 in this game but couldn’t shoot more than 5 ft from the basket meant his stats were outrageous. And anyone that was a 95 was basically God in this game. T Mac, Kobe and Pierce were like THE best players to pick in the game. Aint gonna lie some of the rating were a bit off, but I was a Celtics fan and loved the fact that Pierce could dunk like VC in it 😂 And Yeah they did AI dirty and Malone was just wtf lol Side note Rashad Lewis was a hidden gem in this game, wasn’t ranked the highest but had dope stats in the most important ones, Speed, dunk, 2&3 ball, defense. Dude was a killer lol
Lowkey corey maggette eddy curry Tyson chandler were chest codes too. Ricky Davis was a beast too. You took me back on your post gang. These games back then the star players were rated to high and the role players/ good players were like 65-76. Now the ratings a lil more fair to nba players in current games. In nba live Tobias Harris would be a 74 at best in nba live 2003 and in nba 2k24 he’s a 81. These game’s definitely laid the foundation and are still playable and not overpowered.
Yep, Andrei Kirilenko too (my fav player growing up) I would get like over 5 blocks per game and 3 SPG with him plus like 5-7 APG, 10-11 RPG and 20-22 PPG!
I don't think their rating system was as detailed and robust as games these days. Shooting guards and power towards who could block shots and dunk tended to have higher ratings overall
2 things I absolutely hated about this game: 1) the audio of dunks was totally unrealistic 2) the lack of net physics on everything Looking back, there are older games that did these things so much better. Some examples being NBA In The Zone 99 and NBA Live 98, both did dunk sounds and net physics better and they released 4-5 years earlier. Live 05 improved on this massively.
I’m suprised of how accurate Thais is because I’m 2002 3 Paul pierce t Mac and Kobe and kg Tim Duncan we’re the ones putting up numbers . And the dunk movement looks better on this then the new ones .
@@philchickenfingers1190 nah I think he should’ve been a 99, Kobe was the man at this time, and he was basically God in this game along with T Mac and Pierce.

This is my era basketball right here early 2000s NBA
Same exact here
greatest nba game to this day
I agree.
Yesss❤😢
I'd take this over the 2k23
Trash copy and past of 2001 2002 not any of the real arenas
I liked 04 better
This games is what started it all for me.

So many memories.
the soundtrack of live 03 is the best
I used to play this game faithfully 💯💯

Facts teams top tier was lakers, spurs, nets , Magic’s, Mavericks, Suns, Rockets with Yao at least I thought so
Word Rashad Lewis with Ray Allen I remember that I think Jordan was in this too

Thanks for this, the nostalgia is hitting right now lol
the animations of the dunks are so smooth and fun in this game
THE BEST NBA LIVE! 2003!
How is 40 year old Karl Malone better than prime Iverson? Cant be right
Stackhouse is also ranked too high
are you aware how good Malone was this year? He averaged 22 ponts, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and played in 80 games
Rasheed Wallace has a 92 I mean he was good but gotdamn
I don't think their rating system was as detailed and robust as games these days. Shooting guards and power towards who could block shots and dunk tended to have higher ratings overall
😂😂😂 yo I was dead ass thinking samething
Fun fact: if you change kevin garnett's primary role to pf in the editor his rating goes to 97 :)
Wow never knew that
This shit bring back so much memories was in 5th grade this dropped definitely one of the best lives next to 05,06
Brings me back. Thank you for this Video🙏🏾
I wish this was backward compatible on xbox 1 x
First time I saw jason kidd can dunk
He 6 ft 5 😂
I love your content and just like you guys in the comment section it really brings me back
A lot of the players were ranked to high in the videogame.

Yeah those dunks sound like thunder lol
Yeah the fact that some dudes could dunk like MJ but couldn’t do it in real life was like wtfff lol but I loved this game none the less

It was fine, the gameplay was amazing and that's what really matters :)

02 - 03 best lives ever 👍🏽
Imagine mvp rose in this game 🤣😂🤣
My favorite Nba live all time
Thanks for this, pal
Wow I was searching for nba live 2003 videos and I forgot I've already seen this one hahaha
This game is still awesome to play today
Memories 😵💫🫠🤣 ps2
bro kobe was so OP in this it was insane
Tmac too ⚡🏀✋🔒 if you know you know! He had just as many symbols as Kobe
Zhi Zhi wang was easily the best in this game . Wouldn’t miss 3s
Haha, I remember him- he was backup C on the Mavs :)
Very fun Live!!! I own it for both PS2 and OG XBOX, it’s that good!!! Also, can’t forget about the dope soundtrack for the game!!
so much smoother and responsive than the current 2k games.. I can't stand them. The fun of these ones was in the simplicity
Yeah no annoying shot meter, just shoot at the highest point of the jump- simple!
BRO how can i get this game, you have a liink or site ?
Maaan, why not video from the games
???
This looks nice. Is it pc?
I’m suprised of how accurate Thais is because I’m 2002 3 Paul pierce t Mac and Kobe and kg Tim Duncan we’re the ones putting up numbers . And the dunk movement looks better on this then the new ones .
What Antoine Walker got given a 91 rating I knew he was good back in the day but I didn’t know he was that good
Stackhouse higher rated than a.i. ????
To be fair I believe Stack finished 2nd in scoring the previous season, but noted. There's a few head scratchers above A.I overall
Love that the dunks look brutal and hard in 2000's nba live games, compare to nowdays 2k where they look too soft.
tracy mcgrady was a 96, not a 95 in this game correct?
He was a 95.
Yah Shaq was the only 96, I thought Kobe was a 99 tbh, played like it. Kobe, T Mac and Pierce were Gods in this game.
Marion was elite at one point 2 way player
Yeah, very similar to AK47 :)
@@bryant475 💯
Why the hell does Tim Duncan have Arnold Schwarzenegger’s body 😂
KG a 97 and highest rated player in the game if you switch him from SF->PF
Nostalgia
Shawn Marion a 91 overall???
The 2008 Boston Big 3 are all here.
Was Karl Malone really still a 92 level player in the early 2000s?
Basketball games were more fun back then.
Where’s Yao?
He wasnt in til nba live 04.
Yao was 79 rated rookie
Gary Payton a 92 in 2003? Are you serious??
Iverson way too low
He should’ve been a 96
He was a poor jump shooter.
NBA 2k22 🔥🔥🔥
GOD BLESS
there are all beef cakes 😂
Kobe should’ve been a 98 or 99
@@philchickenfingers1190 nah I think he should’ve been a 99, Kobe was the man at this time, and he was basically God in this game along with T Mac and Pierce.
Allen Iverson, Marion, Ray, was too low during this time
Rasheed Wallace, Pierce Shaq rating in questionable
Plus Where's Lebron? Jokes
Lebron was 80 that year. He was 21/6/6 before in his rookie year. People didn't think he was GOAT back then.
@@Live01Legends LeBron didn’t come out in NBA live 2003 he was a senior in HS

Pierce average 26, 7, and 3.. played all 82 games made the Allstars and nba all team still questionable for you ? Stop the hate
Allen iverson rated the same as A.walker is embarrassing, rated two under Jerry stackhouse!! Throw this game in the trash
So Tim Duncan didn't exist I guess
paul pierce 95 is a joke.
How old are you ?????
This was when Pierce was towards his prime and was a straight killer, but his teams were always a joke. I’ll say his dunk his a bit over rated in this game, but nothing else dude was a straight killer in his time.
@@JahGuarrr Nope, maybe a 90 is the highest I can see for Pierce.
@@bostonceltics2691 Old enough to take your mom out on a date. Why?
@@JahGuarrr his dunk is only 87 in this game.
