First of all, majority of us goes at avarg 70-85 km speed in our daily life... So this pocket rocket is perfect for those who ride bike under 90 km per hour. And yes 1.6. thats for quality and only difernc between 200 is tz engine. In our roads this power is enuf and more i think( in my opinion as a daily rider) and yes i agree, for those who go for race, power race, track and all..they better dont take this.. and iam satisfied with this machine.. since iam not a racer... I bought this machine for riding n roads... Not in tracks..... Thankyou..
I also tell the same to anyone calling it as just 125 cc but downside is weight it could be 130 kg wet weight

Most Indians dont understand its literally the OG Duke 390 with a small engine. Big brakes, usd forks, trellis frame and the abs make it worth the price if you are ok with the lower power.
A more accessible Duke, especially for the beginners.

You guys at power drift have such a massive following, its a shame that ul cant seem to realise that real people dont live on a race track, the max of ur videos r shot in either here or lavasa,?? Seriously, its good to review touring machines there but every bike? A person buyin a 125 do u think will even be hitting a 60 + kph in city use?

Yes ur right..but it depends on where the motocycle company has invited powerdrift to review the bike..here ktm has called them to their racetrack...
Other example tata called to review tata harrier in dessert..so its not their fault.😞

duke 125 was made in india and exported since 2011,,but wasnt available for Indians to buy. But now its available because the latest model of 125 is being exported (which exactly looks like 250),,and we wont get that one until the next model arrives.. KTM thinks we indians are Cheap suckers,.. so once their foreign customers stop buying we get to buy them.. MADE IN INDIA, but whats the use people.we are second

I miss the old powerdrift... Powerdrift is losing its class
It’s 1.5 Lakh on road
If it was 1.2 on road we could think of buying this.
Pulsar ns200 is still a better choice.
It's very agile in the city traffic ( pune ).
I commute daily 40+ kms on this.
Slipper clutch makes it super smooth and refined .
Most of my friends owns duke 200 and 390 , they think its way smoother and agile and somewhat refined than theirs.
Personal opinions.
If someone gets a chance to actually ride this in traffic , perceptions will definitely improve as I have noticed.
It has no slipper clutch. Obviously such punny engine will be refined.

Okay, it has some real good parts but don't count "0 to 60kmph in 6 seconds a performance standard". My RTR 160 does it in 4.5 seconds and clearly my bike is not a performance motorcycle 😂.
The pros dont supercede the incremental price they have asked for this bike given the fact that 200 was launched at the same price.
I am gonna wait for the Duke 125 with 390 design.
I think Honda's Stunner 125 was more powerful than this as it used to do 0 to 60 in 5 sec.
Both the Honda Stunner and Hero Ignitor were heck of a bikes but this one's got fuel injector engine giving it that extra 4hp above Ignitor and 5 above Stunner. Also not to mention the 6speed gearbox... *Clink*
So now those splendor guys are gonna wave past me in this 😭😭
Now would be a good time to upgrade to a new fast Motorcycle Misha :D

Ppl in Europe can't jump on a 390 or 600 cc bike to learn..their licenses should have 125cc for 2 yrs and later they can buy a sub 500cc bike and later they can buy litre bikes...that's y Duke 125 is popular there..cuz their commute mainly depended on cars ..the ppl who bought it didn't care about the cost
KTM should have come up with 150cc in India.

Also at that price point I will always choose R15 V3 as it has the most lowered clip on handle bars😍 and has the most Road presence 😘 and I love it.
Having a 150 would have brought it too close to the 200 Duke

It is more powerful than any other 125 cc... It overtook me on Aurangabad road when my speed was 90 kph... Pretty impressive bike...

Was really disappointed with few last videos of PD and especially the V-Storm review but this video makes me think PD has still got the magic

I saw I video of powerdrift of ns200 vs duke and they said that ns 200 is a better value and now they made this video made me confused af, I love Duke's look but we all can agree that most of us prefer cars at high distances and on highways and for city use they don't cut it and pulsar 200 ns on the other hand is more comfortable and 50 thousands cheaper than duke 200 and offfers the same

As much as I would love to ride the 125, still sticking on to the R15 or RC390 styling. It suits my track riding style ;)
For that old stock clearance sale and that price range it's better to go for ns200 or rtr2004v.
It is meant for beginners, experienced guys can always go for 200s :)

Powedrift does sound sellout in this video. Was this a review or a promo video? There was tons of sugar-coating of this average bike. Should I start believing that Powerdrift has started taking sponsorships?

Wow! Wow! KTM marketing team deleted my review as i was criticizing its pricing. I thought power drift a genuine and making quality videos but nope, it's not. Just another TV like marketing company. Thanks for that actually, actually believed in all of the reviews till ktm 125 review but now I know it's all paid marketing.

It seems that KTM is going on Same lines of Honda.. Giving less, outdated machines for more prices.. However its a way more expensive than premium 150 cc and some of 200 cc.. So not a good idea on part of KTM.. FIRST disappointment from KTM.. 😩😩

There is only 2 problems first there are already very good 150cc bikes in lower budget, gixxer being my choice (mainly cos I own it and has a very good overall experience) and second is issue of price........how to say it, Bike just doesn't justify it.

I want duke 125 global version. The global version is launch in India? Otherwise buy the normal duke 125.plz tell me.
It has the looks it has the performance and tech and if you ask me will I put my money on it I will say No because for that price range I will go for the NS200 or the FZ250 or rtr200 4V race edition 2.0. Well its a bike for the enthusiasts to start learning to ride and if you have the money go for it with its design and power everyday city rides will be lot of fun and no one will be able to race you in traffic easily.
Design is also not apealing........they ve inplemented the whole ktm duke 200 on this which dosent look mmmm that good......if they would have given it the duke 250's look with 160 or 150 cc engine it might have worked well....
Bishnupriya Pattnaik You are right they could have given it at least 250 type design but they might have gone for this design maybe because of cost restrictions. Well we have to adjust with this design until it gets a facelift. Or like said in the video they must have done this to clear their stokes
It is also about maintaining the hierarchy within the brand. Now KTM cannot afford to have its entry-level model look better than the 200, can it?
