Spoon River Anthology - Barry Holden

Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology (1915) tells the story of a small Mid-Western town, or rather, the stories of its citizens. The collection of free form poems read as epithaphs. They are first person accounts from the dead themselves. These monologues have long served students of the Sanford Meisner school of acting.
