70s Sounds Studio Sessions
Alexander Rudd and Zach Lemmon are two composers who love the music of the 1970s. They've recently recorded an album of 70s tunes and decided to embrace the entire 70s recording studio lifestyle, whatever that means. In this video, they talk about what they love about 70s music, the craft of recording at that time, and working with each other.

The Beef Behind This Famous Blues Riff
มุมมอง 30K7 ปีที่แล้ว
In the early 1950 Muddy Waters recorded a blues guitar riff that has taken on a life of it's own. One that is, perhaps, the most famous blues riff of all time. You likely know the riff. But have you ever heard the history of where it comes from and why it is so popular? Watch the video to hear the story of a feud between blues legends Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley and how this feud elevated a few...
Spoon River Anthology - Willard Fluke

Edgar Lee Master's Spoon River Anthology (1915) tells the story of a small Mid-Western town, or rather, the stories of its citizens. The collection of free form poems read as epitaphs. They are first person accounts from the dead themselves. These monologues have long served students of the Sanford Meisner school of acting. MY wife lost her health, And dwindled until she weighed scarce ninety p...

Peace lilies droop when they need water. But if you water them they spring back to life! This is a time lapse of a peace lily after it has been watered.

Training Miss Kyleigh

A parody of a martial arts movie trailer. The main character is a young girl who is able to fight above her belt class and win, all because she has a trainer who pushes her to her full potential. In a world, Where the color of your belt determines your rank. One girl, has chosen to ignore her "proper place." "my name is Kyleigh Fon. I'm eleven." She fights outside her weight class "I go to regu...
Underrated video
Thank you for the compliment. Feel free to share with on your social media
Omgggg Dust my Broom just gets my soulllll man
Yeah, Elmore James sends that one. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Metal guitarists claimed it among their inspirations. I'll have to look into that.
Excellent research
i love this riff
Thank you for this very insightful video.
Just play them bro
Regrettably, I am not a guitar player. Just a video maker
@@jlee.glassburn yeah I meant just let the music play
@@lukegg9025 Oh, yeah, um, that's not what this video is. But here ya go th-cam.com/video/bSfqNEvykv0/w-d-xo.html
it is criminal that a mini documentary so good and so we'll put together is allowed to languish in obscurity. The effort and execution are fantastic. I sincerely hope to see more from you.
That is a very nice compliment. Thank you. I would like to make more mini-docs like this in the future. Thank you for subscribing.
“Uhh I think I’m about to pass a Kidney Stone ahhhhh *riff* ahhhhh *riff* ahhhh
Yay! I'm gonna be a famous music star, like Muddy Waters!
2:05 I think that’s the beauty of art. It sounds like a man is talking about how cool he is but it’s becoming a symbol, a message or a call for many people Also thanks for the video, the riff has been playing in my mind and it never occured to me to look it up until now
It's funny that you zeroed in on this because this was basically the genesis of this video. Somewhere I had read about the feud that I talk about later in the video. But when I went back to find that information all I could find on the meaning of the songs was the civil rights angle. I recognize the similarities in the slogan "I am a man" and the lyrics of the song, and they were contemporaries. But, for me, the rest of the lyrics point to bravado and peacocking and not something as profound as a political statement. Still, you are 100% correct. When art is released into the world it no longer belongs to the artist, it is the audience's to interpret. Thanks for the comment!
this answers lots of questions
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

One of my favorite uses of this riff is in You Better Run by Motörhead
One more in the row : Johnny Guitar Watson's Gangster of Love
Gran vídeo 😄
I had just listened to bad to the bone and trying to remember hoochie coochie man just looked up blues riff and found this. Not only did you help me in the search I found an excellent video in it's own right. Keep it up!
Thank you so much. And be sure to look through the other comments to see some titles I missed but the community schooled me on. It's an incredible riff
If I'm not mistaken that's Johnny Winters yelling in the background in the 1977 version
I think you're right. He did have a hand in producing the album.
Greatest ad libs of all time
