Thanks for this, sir. I live across the East River in Brooklyn, But your footage really shows my city in a city different. Thanks for the way you've portrayed my city. It's truly one of a kind.
It's a place with a lot of character and there's always something going on. I loved visiting South Brooklyn and would like to get back there again. Thank you for watching.
I noted that the footage shows a tendency to 'drift' before I jerk it back when at a 'mid-level' of zoom (fully zoomed it was fine). Equally I tend to find it 'jumps' a lot when panning/tracking an aircraft. Not sure if this is something to do with the camera's stabilization 'locking on' to something I'm focusing on, or the way I am holding it awkwardly, or a combination of the both. It was a new experience for me but New York was a good opportunity to test it out without a tripod.
@zwolleinfo8032 Thanks. It tends to not happen when at maximum zoom. Wait a few minutes after movement before turning it on also helps tp stop drifting. But it still happens.
I have the Panasonic HC-X1500, but it is not so good at low light, and I'm considering buying the HC-X20. I was just going to have a look at the video, but your footage was so good that I couldn't stop. :D I've never been to New York, but I hope to visit one day.
Yeah, that was actually one of my main reasons for upgrading from the HC-X1500 to the HC-X20. All the same features and on-screen designs are carried across, so it's easy to get used to. Plus a lot more options. Bigger of course, though! New York's full of subjects.
@Jake_Frac Considerable difference. The X1500 struggles with low light, often grainy despite settings, and can't focus automatically, while the HC-X20 is pretty good. Still grainy at times though.
Hey, what settings did you use for the majority of the footage? In specific, did you use a certain video profile like “cine”? I love the way it looks and love this video. Cheers
I also recently bought a Panasonic Hc-X20. But I can't get to grips with some of the settings yet. I have problems with sharpness (Master DTL) and image noise in darker images. And I'm currently using F4 Still as the color scheme. I also tested F5 CINE, but there was a lot of noise in the video. What settings do you use for day and night shots on your Panasonic HC-X20? Daytime shots look ok so far.
TEST: Can you change directional on the onboard mic such as "wide" meaning setting the change to an omnidirectional mic 🤔 Does the onboard mic sound the same when you're behind the camera as it does when you're in front of it
Thinking of buying a HC-X20. Is this Raw from the Camera ? as in no color grading or adjustments in Post . Looks really good in low light. Did you have any problems after using it in the Wet . Thanks in advance 👍
Hey. This is all raw footage, yes. It has performed well in low light this far. I did have an issue with the external caps for the mic inputs coming off, and water getting inside and distorting the audio. Ive had to celotape it and had no issues since.
@@CobraEmergency Thanks , Going to go for it I can get a good deal on one New as it will be with me for years to come 🤞 4:48 it should be a Crown vic up there

@@CobraEmergency Thank you always.
Thanks for making this so long- I really learned a lot about this camera from this video. Also, I miss New York. No place like it.

No need to explain yourself. Good video!
@@beershitz9977 Thanks! Appreciate it
Beautiful images. Have you found a solution to the "drift" problem yet?

@@CobraEmergency I think it’s due to the stabilisation setting
Great to see. I love NYC. Thanks.

@@CobraEmergency In your opinion, how much difference in low light between the x1500 and x20? Trying to decide between the two.
@Jake_Frac Considerable difference. The X1500 struggles with low light, often grainy despite settings, and can't focus automatically, while the HC-X20 is pretty good. Still grainy at times though.

I wouldn't mind moving there someday
