Really, REALLY love how the villains' transformations are the opposite of the heroes'. Adam shares the power he achieved with his team, and they accept their weapons with confidence and pride, welcoming them as they're already part of their inner selves, now made form and able to help them save the day. While Skeletor chains his minions (they're definitely NOT teammates, there's little to no trust in the group) and says that they have HIS power. And while some do accept their new powers, by their reactions it's really painful and overwhelming. Trap Jaw was the least willing to do the transformation, and has to hold his jaw as it completely changes his mouth and teeth from the inside. Evil-Lyn is happy to become more powerful, but her powers leave her screaming in agony the entire time. And Beast Man is downright eager to cause some bloodshed, and even he has to destroy his previous body like a hollow husk as the beast inside tears it apart. The end result is an incredibly intense transformation sequence, one of the more unique I've ever seen, and I really enjoy it! :D

It can be noticed when comparing that when the masters of the universe it brings out the best in them like their qualities and potential while the masters of darkness transformation is like an opposite reflection to the protagonists transformation, which brings out the worst in them with each being consumed by havoc and being twisted into their deepest darkest desires.
That's kinda the message with the power of Grayskull and Havoc. Grayskull brings out the best you you can be while Havoc brings out the worst of yourself to the surface.

When I first saw the trailer for this, I rolled my eyes. It came off like an orignal idea that they later added He-Man names to. While I do think parts of this still have that vibe, I think they nailed it. It reminds of like a dark Power Rangers, the these "cutscene-like" moments might be a little cheesey but the animation for them is so cool you can't really hate seeing them a few times. I actually hope we see these guys turn back and forth just to get to see this stuff.
What made this series so much better than Revelations and She Ra is the fact that they’re actually having fun with this. Revelations and She Ra try to take themselves way too seriously.
I can only imagine what this series' producer, Jeff Matsuda, did when designing Evil-Lyn, Trap Jaw, and Beast Man, to make them feel as monstrous as they are.
I hope they give spotlight to some of the lesser known villains like Shezar and Plundor. Course both of them are aliens but still. Also Shokoti cause she deserves to be recognized.

Honestly, I wanted Season 2 for this way more than for Revelations.
totally with you man, this show was a surprise and one we need after how poorly Revelation crap all over He-Man, this show manage to do what Revelation tried and fail miserably. This one does all characters justice, the female characters where strong and awesome without eclipsing any male character, The story was fun and entertain from beginning to end, nobody got underdeveloped, all characters have great screen time and episodes around them to get even more developed, Skeletor and He-Man both shine as Villain and main Hero, and not left behind like in Revelation. I think that it was a good idea to not have Kass participate in this scene. Except for her, each of the masters had a rival among the dark masters. Adam had Skeletor himself, Cringer had Beastman, Duncan had Trapjaw, and Teela had Evilyn. I have been thinking who they could have used as a rival for Kass. Wasn't it mentioned that Kass' father was killed in a ship crash in an earlier episode? If they had included Kass in that scene, I am thinking that they could have introduced Triclops as her rival. Of course that was only something that was made when the eighties cartoon came when they decided to make He-Man related to the king. And would have been something Confirmed in the 2002 show had they had a second season.
And don't be insulting the 2012 Nickelodeon Ninja Turtles like that
@@JohnSmith-pe6wo Why is it not acceptable? The characters are great, the plot is great, the designs are kinda overstuffed but you get used to them very quickly, it's wonderful.
@@mawinstallation6626 Yeah! Plus there's all this respect to the past without needing to make it feel like it's irrelevant, and also coming up with neat new concepts, like the idea of Havoc as a polar opposite to the Power of Grayskull and adding significance to Skeletor's Havoc Staff too, and the way Adam shares the Power of Grayskull with the other Masters as Skeletor does with the "Purity" of Havoc.
@@mawinstallation6626 Just ignore that hypocrite, he and the others that hate this reboot are the reason why I don't trust the He-Man fandom anymore since the other 80's fans that hated this reboot are just toxic like the geewunners of Transformers.

You know it’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe when the villains have transformations as good as the Heroes.
They made Beastman look scary, imagine what the other villains will like.
I’m honestly hoping they bring in tri-klops, though more in line with 2002 then then the filmation one, same for buzz off

@@LordVanOskuro I get it, more just saying that cause they were some of my personal favorites from the 2002 series
@@bushidotestu1997 i wonder what his transformation would be like, i feel like he could be a naturally tricloptic race or something
Guess we'll have to wait until Season 2
You know something I really appreciate, those end illustration cards at the end of episodes that would reveal major events for next episodes, I like that the one for hinting at this episode chose to present the dark masters in a very silly and child friendly cartoon manner only for the actual reveal to be almost horrific and sadistic in the transformation
“We wont lwt you use your weapon on eternos”
Skeltor: HMMM JOKES ON YOU THEY ARE THE WEAPONS
I saw Trap jaw transformation and I was like.. This looks amazing
Then I saw beast man and I'm like holy sh*t , are you sure this is for children
This is 80s children cartoons, where they weren’t afraid to scare their audience. Imagine Inhumanoids done like this and keeping the creep factor. Instant hit.
yea especially the part where it claws out his own chest which is pretty nuts.
I actually think the scariest transformation is Evelyn's into evil-lyn, it's not because she's showing fear or pain but because she's enjoying it and letting herself be consumed by the power and the madness.
@@zachbahamutson5477 I don't know about you but whenever she's on screen in the show I feel this demonic presence from her I don't know what but there's something very much wrong with her
@@isaacm7934 given the how the third season ended we now know why that may be the case. And I'm not spoiling it for others.
Honestly this reboot wasn't bad. In fact it was pretty decent considering it was marketed for kids.
7/10 in my opinion
Oh the irony, it's way better than Teela Show by Kevin Smith
I really enjoyed it
It's already better than She Ra. That reboot took 4 seasons to arrive at this level
@@TheWarmachine375 it helped that they weren't falsely advertising to their audience.
Never been a masters of the universe guy but this looks dope as hell, really digging the villain designs so I think I’ll give it a shot. Personally I’ve always been a GI Joe guy myself but we haven’t gotten shit in the last couple years since renegades.
I LOVE the Universal Monsters feel to this scene.
This kid version has got to be the spookiest looking MOTU series I ever saw
No. 2002
@@JohnSmith-pe6wo I watched the 200X series. It's my favorite. However, Netflix is using that child-like CGI to show more mature scenes
Trap Jaw was straight up terrifying.
Evil lyn's transformation gave me chills.
Honestly, I was surprised about how enjoyable this show turned out to be... Sure, there are some parts I needed to accept, but goddamn ! Definitely waiting for season 2 !!
Trapjaw, Dark Master of Weaponry
Evil-Lyn, Dark Mistress of Witchcraft
BeastMan, Dark Master of Monsters
Skeletor, Dark Master of Havok
And spoilers: Rampage, Dark Master of Destruction
@@d.j.sterling6694 If the other villains appeared, what would their Dark Master Titles be?
Like... if they had an actual Panthor, I wager he could be Dark Master of... Savagery? The Hunt?
MerMan , Dark Master of the Deep?
Triclops, Dark Master of Machinery? Control?
This is what He-man show supposed to be. A fresh new take on the old thing but updating it for the kids to not look boring and be a fun show, not over load with adult crap and false marketing like masters of the universe.
No
Agreed, and you can tell this new He-Man also respects what came before it and doesn't try to twist the mythos to have an agenda like Revelation did.
True, even the animation of Revelation is nothing but a Castlevania ripoff.
You mean Revelations?
@@SirBlackReeds yes
Whoa... The villains (especially Trapjaw and Beastman) look badasses.
Beast Man's transformation is horrifying in the most awesome way!
Okay, I might actually give this He-Man show a chance after watching this clip.
Out of them all, Evil-Lyn's transformation sequence was my favorite, although I wish they'd given her fangs like her bats, and perhaps even claws, give her a slight vampiric appearance to go with her evil witch motif
Beast Man's transformation was SICK!
The beast within
The guy who voices skeletor is doing a fantastic job
Ben really nailed Skeletor’s insanity
I have to say these Transformations were scary😰😰. But this is how Is supposed to be. This one of the reasons why everyone loves this show over Revelations
Dude that fact the Evil-Lyn looks like she KNOWS what’s about happen and the fact that it appears that she enjoys the transformation is just creepy as hell and just makes her look and sound so (literally) insane!!!
The bad guy transformations are better than the good guy's. I like how they basically well known monsters; a vampire, frankenstein and wolfman.
I never realized that, but you’re right!!
Would that make Merr-man the Gillman?
True Enough.
@@Godzillakingofkaiju1 or what about Two Bad? A conjoined monster of some kind.
And Keldor/Skeletor is the Grim reaper
Man they took the old concept and molded it into something awesome...this is very good....
I was so hoping someone would load this scene. It's awesomely horrifying.
I know, right? Trap Jaw is my favorite
@@torno99 Brushing his teeth would be a nightmare
agreed. I was waiting eagerly for it to be uploaded
It was extremely cool
@@TheWarmachine375 VILLAINS NEVER BRUSH THEIR TEETH
What made this series so much better than Revelations and She Ra is the fact that they’re actually having fun with this. Revelations and She Ra try to take themselves way too seriously.
Okay now I know you’re lying as She-Ra also doesn’t take itself too seriously
I agree with you on Revelations but serenely not on She-Ra
Now. Now that was an upgrade taking the villains transformation to the extreme. I wouldn't mind joining skeletor's crew for a few kicks and giggles.
Its says somthing when skeletor and his Warriors are more Threatening and scary in a shiw for kids. Then the one made for adults.
Huh…. I thought the “one made flr adukys” was still flr kids
But. Yesn has better writing in my opinion
Also Shokoti cause she deserves to be recognized.
i would like that
This cartoon was actually dope great animation and ost can't wait for season 2!!!!
Okay Beastman’s transformation was pretty amazing. You expect a classic werewolf style morph and you get him breaking out of his old body.
Not going to lie that was bad ass
Evil lyn's is giving chills 😨
She is hot and evil
So THIS is how you make a He-Man show...
This is cool. I love the build up of the villains getting their classic forms, albeit updated a bit.
Oh wow, those were some terrifyingly awesome transformations.
i love how there symbols mirror there hero counterparts
I never noticed that until now
I think rhey wanna do a rivalry thing. Everyone got an arch enemy here. Ri lee and evil lyne
Battle beast and beastman
I wo dwr if they plan to find ways to make it much more personal with the baddies.
Whatever it is i love it
This show genuinely makes me want all future iterations to refer to skeletor and his warriors as the masters of havoc as a contrast to the masters of the universe
I think I got shivers watching the transformations. Evil-Lynn's especially was so good.
Also I dont know why the line "They have my power" was just chef's kiss. I really like trapjaw's design with the teeth thing going on.
I think the last thing I was expecting was for the CGI HeMan to be actually pretty cool and nicely animated.
Its weird how the villains are the only characters that accurately portray there original counterparts
It's a sad time that when this series was announced everyone thought it was too cartoonish and silly, that the Kevin Smith version was gonna be so much better... we were *SO* wrong...
I actually had hope for this series to be better after seeing the plot rumors for revelations and Kevin Smith not keeping his mouth shut the trailer now is pretty much false advertising
0:18 Whoa, Skeletor actually got his own transformation chant rather than stealing it from He-Man. 0:35
The horror movie elements were a nice touch.
Not gonna lie. Much as I don't like the animation and art style, that is pretty sick for a transformation sequence. Beast Man's is my favorite.
I wonder why some people keep saying animation looks trash, it's super amazing
Probably because they think it's not like that crappy Filmation cartoon they grew up with or maybe they just like that Castlevania ripoff Revelation more than this.
No longer trusted the He-Man fandom since that keeps going on and on.
My guess is that they don’t like the character designs but they probably only saw the still images it’s like ROTTMNT people hated the character designs but loved the animation in motion
@@roboticturtle8822 Good thing the designs didn't bother me since Beast Man and Trap Jaw's designs in this show are my favorite lol.

Yes
Judging by recent TH-cam clips I think we’ll get to see something for triclops
Gotta admit they somehow made Skeletor look like a badass and not a muscular Skeleton with undies.
I had my doubts about this part of the Series but they animation is pretty amazing

Evil-lyn reminds me of hella from Thor Ragnarok

I’ve just thought up a Miraculous He-Man crossover where the Akuma Guitar Villain is enhanced by Skeletor using Havoc
Gotta say, I went in expecting, no, WANTING to hate this show, with all the issue with Revelations, and some TH-camrs saying this show has SJW wokeness. But I ended up liking it a lot. The characters are charming. Absolutely love Skeletor and Evil Lyn. The female empowerment was done right here. Everyone is equally important, not like Captain Marvel, Mulan, or Rey Skywalker where they are the best, while others are inferior. Look forward to Season 2.
Really a surprise, I didn't go wanted to hate it, I actually liked the show from the trailer and was pleasantly surprised it didn't let me down.

We need a new Masters of The Universe video game!
Perhaps have the person who becomes Triclops be the one who was responsible for the crash that killed Kass' father.
Her name is Krass.
Didn't Krass left the good guy to protect the tiger tribe?
Or more horrifyingly have him be her father having unknown survived and damaged. Needing a new helmet with vision inhancement to see
