@zebb dawn Richard and brandy have their own sounds. I see their unique styles as very different . Brandy is breathy and has layered backing vocals that are unmatched, Dawn Richards alto is super strong and her command on melody is commendable.
Kelly is forging a new sound for herself that fits her voice she’s not trying to belt or feel like she has to be a powerhouse she’s discovering that her tone as it is is enough and she’s definitely more comfortable in her voice this time around
I wouldn't say she created a new sound. You just seeing more of her, Talk A Good Game is a perfect reference to what I am saying.
So Kelly shot "Hitman" and "Flowers" at the same time in one location, PREGNANT, IN A PANDEMIC? She's very much underrated. This is a beautiful tribute to her mother and I know she'd be more than proud of her baby girl!
To be honest, KELLY really dont care about sales anymore. She sold 40 million records as a solo artist, 60 million records with Destiny's Child, 4 grammy awards in her belt, solo number one albums and singles, movies. She giving her fans good music. This is for her fans. Go kelly

This song and Kelly's purpose for this song truly makes me think about my Father who passed away on February 20, 2020. My Father always had my back, he always held me down. I lost my Mother on October 7, 2010 and they were married 57 years and I truly miss them both so much. Today I bowed my head in honor of them, listening to this song it made me think of how much I sincerely love them and miss them. They were both amazing parents and I will never ever fill the void in my life. I won't lie it still hurts today. Thank you Kelly Rowland. I love your music. Keep working hard you are so amazing. I must say, Kelly is actually giving us somewhat of a rollout for this EP. She wet our appetites with "Coffee" at the top of 2020 (that was our first Kelly Rowland visual since the TAGG era). Then she served us not 1, not 2, but 3 singles in support of a pending EP; two of those singles contained quality visuals, as well as official lyric videos (I LOVE the lyric video for "Crazy"). Now, here we have another video accompanying the release of the EP- K; and this was all done on Kelly's dime and on Kelly's time; during a pandemic and a pregnancy no less; and now, she's birthed baby number 2, and EP number 3 within weeks of one another. She's bringing in 2021 with a BANG. The only other thing we need to make this an official ERA are performances. I hope her management gets her a tiny desk gig. We need a concert from Mrs. Rowland-Weatherspoon. I hope we get a few live renditions of these amazing songs; all 6 of them. Keep the momentum going Kelly

@@lalotimes No. If anything, "Crazy" would be the lead single for this project. "Hitman" was more so to drum up buzz and it was apart of the NFL 'Song of The Season' series, though it was the first song to receive a video.

That first verse was definitely for her fans..as a RowlDawg, I can honestly appreciate her acknowledging the fact that she had always left us hanging when she dropped “Here I Am” and “Talk A Good Game”. This time around she’s showing that she has evolved as a woman, mother and artist... giving us vocals, lyrics, looks.... I’m here for all of it
It's cute that you think this, but the song is actually an ode to her late mother, and those in her life who are still alive and able to receive their flowers in the here and now. I don't think she was thinking about her fans at all; at least she hasn't mentioned that in any interview when asked about this song.

Kelly has made 4 solo albums and 2 EPs if she hasn't sonically pleased your ears yet with none of her offerings then please reframe from trying to get into her and just kindly SILENTLY walk away from her comment section without writing negative think piece's while us fans are trying to enjoy our favorite artist in peace.
Technically, 3 EP's😀. Ms. Kelly (Diva Deluxe) is a 7 track EP. There was a re-release of the album Ms. Kelly in Europe, and that was titled Ms. Kelly Deluxe Edition, but the version that was released on iTunes was in EP form (titled Ms. Kelly Diva Deluxe). This is why I used to always say Kelly has 4.5 albums to her credit. But now, it's more accurate to say she has 4 albums and 3 EP's (Ms. Kelly (Diva Deluxe), The Kelly Rowland Edition (by Red bull Studios), and now, K (her first official independent musical endeavor). When you consider all of her albums, EP's and features, Kelly's musical catalogue is HUGE.
