    Brilliant solution and something I've been trying to do and failing. Before anything nice to see you on skillwave, One question regardign the prevous sales, I tried using a measure rather than the var so; I have a prevous date measure ;
    MAXXtwo:=MAXX( FILTER(ALL(NonConsec[Date]),NonConsec[Date] <
    IF(HASONEVALUE(NonConsec[Date]),VALUES(NonConsec[Date]) ) // Note MAXX iterator
    ) , NonConsec[Date])
    and then tried putting this inside the CALCULAE
    CALCULATE([Tsales],FILTER(ALL(NonConsec[Date]), NonConsec[Date] = [MAXXtwo] ))
    did not work, conversely in ;
    VAR mdate = MAX(NonConsec[Date]) // This does not work but does with a measure,
    RETURN
    CALCULATE( mdate,FILTER(ALL(NonConsec[Date]),NonConsec[Date] < IF(HASONEVALUE(NonConsec[Date]),VALUES(NonConsec[Date]) ) )) ,
    but at least now i have an answer.

    Hi Chandeep,
    Thanks for posting this video and well explanation.
    Have an one doubt?
    If you apply any filter the sales growth and total sales will be same
    How can we resolve this issue?
    Is it possible to keep sale growth value when we apply filter or slicer in that report?

    Hi, Your back calculation with explanation is really good "SME". Honestly I'm a startup I've been trying to figure out the below can you please support me.
    The query is that I need to perform a line chart with the metrics below.
    I need to find the difference between months whether has it grown for degrown both in absolutes and percentage wise.
    Eg: Jan-10 vs Feb-15 ( 10-15=5) (15-10/15=33%) I want that to calculate part number wise for each month . I have all the years in a single column with the months and values similarly.

    Hello Chandeep ,i am new to dax ,bit confused here. In this video we have already declared all(date) in Dax notation then how the selected value function is able to pull single value for each row as per filter date we have provided in table/matrix.It should not work as filters for date column are removed using All function. Please guide me here ,it,s very important to understand this concept.

    VAR PreviousDate = CurrentDate - 1 // Calculate the previous date
    RETURN
    CALCULATE(
    SUM('YourTable'[Sales]), // Calculate the sum of sales
    FILTER(
    ALL('YourTable'),
    'YourTable'[Date] = PreviousDate
    )

    Hi chandeep, any idea on how to transfer this logic to a card visual? I can’t seem to make it work,it just says “blank” in the card. I need to show on a card the % growth (score from most recent date compared to previous date), which should keep rolling dynamically? Any ideas would be appreciated!!

    Hi, Why are you removing using "ALL" in the PreSale, why do we have to remove any filter on the date.? can you please explain

    • @GoodlyChandeep
      @GoodlyChandeep  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. The ALL Function removes the filter from the column mentioned i.e. Dates.
      2. It gives you all the dates
      3. I then compare all the dates against the current date or the date in my filter context.
      I hope this helps
      Perhaps, you'll understand a lot better once you understand the mechanics of the ALL function.
      Video on that coming soon ;)
