    This was such a nice video and so informative! I am proud to say that my small business, Pink Piggy Sweets, has been a part of Downtown Goldsboro for six years!

    I grew up in Pikeville, 10 miles north. Goldsboro was our go to town for anything we didn’t have. “Going to town” always meant going to Goldsboro. Great town.

      I went to Charles B. Aycock high school (it was my school district) and I lived in Goldsboro😊

      @@LeafInTheWind88 That’s so true! When I visited my grandparents as a kid, they lived off of 581 N. I remember my grandfather telling me he had to go to town. I always wanted to go because I was so bored here

    I grew up in Wayne Co! Goldsboro has grown a lot since then! Great to see you close to my hometown

    Miss Smith did not hesitate to recognize Gator Metal Roofing for their loyalty to and belief in the THE GREAT I AM! "They believe in GOD" she said boldly! Now that is truly awesome! Yes! Wow! It speaks volumes!

    I grew up in Goldsboro. Moved away in my late teens . I miss wilbur's BBQ. Still talk about it to this day. New Jersey doesn't have good BBQ 😕 eastern Carolina BBQ is the best.

    My Tarheel adventures I really need to take you around Goldsboro city because, it’s a lot more places to eat. Great food like Light house, B&G Grill, Bread of heaven, and etc.

    Bill’s barbecue, in Wilson was really good before Hurricane Floyd. When they went to buffet it went downhill and then out of business.😢
    Alton’s Barbecue was really good, with the old fashioned pit cooked barbecue before they went out of business. If you go to Aaron’s on Sunday’s, that used to be Alton’s barbecue. Arron’s is honestly really good. If you live in the Goldsboro/Pikeville area, go visit Aaron’s after church one Sunday. You won’t be disappointed. Try to get there early because it’s very popular with the church crowds.

    I got food for my birthday party for about 20-25 people and it only cost like $150. And we had some left over, not because it wasn’t good but because there was just that much.

    I work with the original man who cooked Wilburs BBQ for 37 years.. To this day, he will not give me the recipe for chicken gravy.. He is so nice and so dedicated to his old work...

    It’s a place call McCalls here in Goldsboro that has some great food. They are right across the highway from Wilberts Barbecue

    • @kevinturnage6876
      @kevinturnage6876 ปีที่แล้ว

      McCalls is not original and didn't start in Goldsboro. Wilburs started by working at Griffins here in Goldsboro and went off on his of to do the same. Griffins started from Scotts.

    Wilber’s not even downtown. you could have stopped somewhere like “Bread of Heaven” or something. Shine some light on the locals. Those people aren’t even the original owners of the BBQ place they jus got there this year 🤦🏽‍♂️
