Clay, thanks for the info....I needed to decide between Miami and Charlotte...Both cities are beatiful, but I think Miami is more for vacation, tourists and beach and party lovers. On the other hand, in Charlotte you have the beaches at driving distance from the city (in addition to some lakes where you can swim). Also you can experience the 4 seasons with mild winters, and mountains with skiing spots are also at a driving distance from the city.

I live in Hickory, about an hour from Charlotte. This whole area is growing so fast and most people weren't ready for it. So many people moving here from all over the US. Kinda makes me sad though, because I always felt like it was one of those well kept secrets that this was a nice area to live. Now the secret is out and all of the little mountain towns are becoming commercialized, crowded, and more expensive. It's bittersweet.

Absolutely Beautiful City...I often cant get over Dallas but Charlotte takes the cake as one of my favorite cities now. There is so much connection to nature and outdoors. It seems like people are taking a hold of life instead of letting it take a hold of them.

I moved in 15 years ago when things were completely different and not so crowded , so, believe me :)
Hello, nice video of Charlotte. One correction though, the light rail opened in 2007 from south Charlotte to uptown, the blue line extension is what opened in 2018 from uptown to UNCC.
You all missed Johnson C. Smith University which was founded way before UNC-Charlotte was even thought of. Not to mention it has served as a pillar in the Biddleville & Beatties Ford community in which many people are flocking to that area as it has become a hotspot.
For years one of the biggest go to sights in Charlotte was Eastland Mall. It was on Central Avenue just west of Albemarle Road. It was also the center of activity for the east side of Charlotte. It was three levels with an ice skating rink on the ground floor. However, the east side of Charlotte was trending down from middle class and lower middle class to lower economic levels. There were bars on windows, gangs, and increased crime. After some shootings in Eastland Mall, the mall was eventually closed and demolished. The east side of Charlotte was hurting badly. By that time, I had accepted a business transfer to Greenville, SC. I was much happier in that new city.
Im 20 and just enlisted in the Air Force. Thinking about moving to Charlotte after my 4 year enlistment to pursue a career in barbering and real estate, and possibly something finance🤷🏾♂️

@Iron Fist if Charlotte is 🗑 then why are so many mfr"s moving here? I'm a native of this town this place has doubled its population in the last 25 years
No but really Charlotte isn't where u wanna be. It has nothing to do with his attitude. Only nice parts in Charlotte are the inner city and certain parts of the Southside. I grew up here and it's terrible , so many people are trying to leave to be honest. Too much bullshit with drugs , violence deaths and more. We were one the top ten for homicides last year. Just stay where u are or find somewhere else to go.... Just being honest , not rude .
Noelani Luana Not sure what makes you think you’re qualified to make such a recommendation considering you do not know me. If I desired an outside opinion, I’d ask for one. I’m not going to base a major life decision on a random TH-cam comment
@@Spootyskater who said I was qualified ? Nobody did 😂just letting you know as someone who has lived and free up in Charlotte sees the changes and how much it isn't what it used to be. It's a honest fact tbh u can ask plenty of people who have stayed in Charlotte how it is. There's plenty of people who have moved here in the past year and are wanting to leave already. Charlotte isn't where u wanna be like I said 😬 too much going on. Move here if you want , you won't last 6 months. I bet 20 bucks you only seen south end , ballyntine , noda , and uptown 😂go to the rougher areas of Charlotte. Even parts of the south side are terrible. Stop getting pissy cause you wanna move somewhere and people are trying to give u a warning
Noelani Luana You clearly believe yourself to be qualified as you keep sharing your thoughts as if anyone cares to know them. Opinions are like assholes, my friend, keep it to yourself. As you were.
Charlotte is a really nice city! Although I'm thinking to leave Charlotte someday, I'm really sad to leave but I need change. This is a beautiful video! You did an amazing job! 😭😭😭
Nice job on the video. I’ve lived here 20 years and have seen the growth you spoke about. Your video is quite accurate as well. Some either exaggerate the amenities, or show the worst parts. Yours was nicely balanced. Thank you.
Charlotte does got it going on. I was one of those unlucky ones that lost their job in Charlotte during the recession. It's funny you mentioned that because that was a really bad time there. Some of the neighborhoods that have houses for almost 300k now had boarded up windows with plywood during that time period. If you go back you got to eat at Merts heart and soul. The founder was in the Marine Corps and it's probably the best southern food in Charlotte. The cornbread is the best in the world. If you like Italian Open Kitchen is very good too.
We’d love to have you but if you were going to vote far left please don’t bother. The left is already starting to raise taxes the mayor has instituted a no arrest rule for the police officers which include non-offensive crimes they consider assault and battery a non-violent crime
Undoubtedly the best quality video and city info. Hands down. Keep up the good work. Proud that my city offers great career and entertainment for everyone.
Great video highlighting many areas and things to do in Charlotte! With that said.. I would implore anyone visiting or moving here to seek better and more local (non-chain) restaurants than the ones shown here.
I’ve been in Charlotte my entire life and Pictures I have from when I was little Charlotte looks completely different than it does now and I’m only in high school so it’s growing extremely fast
Currently, live in Charlotte after moving here in 2007. You did a great job highlighting the area. This video would have gone on for days if you pointed out everything.
Grerat job. I've lived in Charlotte for nearly 30 years. It's changed a lot since I moved here. One correction though. The light rail didn't open in 2018. The northern extension of the blue line opened in 2018. The southern segment opened in 2007.
Great Video. One of your best. I'm up in the air on the skyline comment. NYC, Miami I think have the best skylines. Charlotte has NYC beat when it comes to weather, cost of living and roads. Nice and Smooth, my car would love it.
@@TampaAerialMedia lol. Yeah. Queens has the Best view of it but Queens has gotten very pricey as well. We'll see how things pan out. What Rich people and poor people stay and leave? How many work from home permanently? Ect ECT?
This really is an excellent video! Best one I’ve seen on Charlotte for sure. One thing I wished you did was talk more about Lake Norman, one of the biggest natural attractions in the Charlotte area.
I'm glad I came across this video. I've been contemplating moving to NC for a few years now. I've been to Raleigh for a weekend away for a wedding a few years back and loved it. I've lived in NYC for a couple years and loved it (just wayyy too expensive to stay) so I feel I would love the city feel of Charlotte. I was hoping to find one on Raleigh here as well, so I could compare, but didn't see one. My plan was to go down this past summer (I live in PA)and visit around both areas to get the feel of where I may like it best, but thanks to Covid, that didn't happen. I've read a lot about both, but I need to feel it lol. Anyway, my anxiousness is building more and more and the sooner I can move the better. It's just a matter of where would I fit best haha. Thanks for the video! If anyone can give me advice or own personal experience of these areas, I'll gladly take it, thanks 😊
Apparently you didnt hear the narration, because on the video I was talking about Charlotte is just behind SF as the most banking headquarters in the US
Never been to Charlotte, but after viewing this vid, I feel that I have visited Charlotte much better than if I had done it with my car. Thanks for a great video of a wonderful city. Now I can say I went to Charlotte!
I love this city, very diverse, not a racist like some places in the south , good atmosphere, people are open minded, and lots of job and business opportunities, low crime rate, very good place to raise kids. Surrounding smaller cities and towns within 20 to 30 minutes close to Charlotte are pretty decent places as well. They all thrive to the heartbeat of charlotte🏙️🌇🌆🌃😎👍🏽
I lived in Charlotte all my life the crime rate is not high everywhere only in small areas of the city where you have low income communities and unemployment that's where you're going to find the high crime areas and that is not all over the city of Charlotte that is in small pockets of the city not even in every ghetto or Hood, and the stuff that's been going on in some of these small areas is nothing compared to what was going on in Charlotte in the 90s. All you got to do is move into a different area of the city if you want to avoid the crime, but be smart because nowadays everybody packing heat so you got to protect yourself. In good or bad places don't just be a victim and be vulnerable, y'all better tighten up quit complaining cuz the crime rate in Charlotte compared to Atlanta or Chicago or Miami or Memphis Tennessee or DC in Washington is way lower compared to all these other cities and like I said it's only in small pockets of the city but it's up to you to protect yourself anywhere you go you better tighten up
I'm from Austin, Texas but I found out that Charlotte is really a large and beautiful city , I used to go there for my vacations, I would've done anything to re-move there !
This is a great vid. Was able to visit Charlotte twice this year and absolutely loved it! Can’t wait to go back. It really does feel like a city that I can call home. Charlotte has always called to me for some reason. I recently did some genealogy research and found out that some of my ancestors lived in Charlotte in the early 1900s and are buried at Pineville Cemetery! Maybe that’s some confirmation.

Charlotte turned from being an affordable place to live to an expensive one, taxes are sky high now, rentals are insane. salaries are low. You have to work 2-3 jobs to survive!!
I moved in 15 years ago when things were completely different and not so crowded , so, believe me :)
That's true.
But what is your profession? 🤔
@@realgoodenergy5223Do you live here?
What kind of life are you living that requires 2-3 jobs?

Thankyou Ahmad.
Hello, nice video of Charlotte. One correction though, the light rail opened in 2007 from south Charlotte to uptown, the blue line extension is what opened in 2018 from uptown to UNCC.
yep very true, thanks for the correction
Ur wrong
@@redlawton8896 no he’s not wrong. I used to ride it in 2000 all of the time. Stop commenting on matters tou don’t know about
I love the Charlotte area. Very high quality of life.
My Wife and I love Charlotte, we just here from Ny. Best decision thus far and what a amazing city when she is all lit up.
Awesome video. 💯💯💯
Thankyou for the nice words, yep probably a good move to escape from NY.
It was and is again one of the best places to live in our eyes.
You all missed Johnson C. Smith University which was founded way before UNC-Charlotte was even thought of. Not to mention it has served as a pillar in the Biddleville & Beatties Ford community in which many people are flocking to that area as it has become a hotspot.
"Beatties Ford Community". Yeah, right. A wonderful place to get shot.
Awesome video. I’m a UNCC alum and lived in Charlotte for many years. I miss it.
Thankyou for the nice words, great to hear from someone at UNCC.
I'm FAMU alum. Shout out to your HBCU!
UNCC is not the same anymore, I spent a lot of time there in the early 2000's and I hardly even recognize anything about it anymore.
Welcome ~!! to all of those thinking of moving to Charlotte NC. 💛
Another great video from TampaAerialMedia. Thank you from Brooklyn,NY.
Thankyou, we'll be headed through NY in a couple of weeks.
@@TampaAerialMedia Nice. Thank you. The Hudson Valley is beautiful.
This is the best video I ever watch about Charlotte. Thanks alot. 👍🏻👍🏻

Thankyou Amit.
Thank you for your excellent video! very value information and helpful. Charlotte is so beautiful
Thankyou Sheridan, you are welcome
I believe they are trying to clean up that part of the city now.
Been here 4 years. Love it!
#Queen city born and raised This Was Amazing ❤️🎯
Thanks for the video.. I am moving from Minneapolis to Charlotte now!
Great move, best of luck to you.
Been living in charlotte for 6 yrs now and i love the queen city!
You nailed it, it is a Queen city given the crown on top of BA building, gives an impression of a Queen ....hopefully one day I ll be able to visit
Hii Chantelle do you know someone from Charlotte who is interested in doing online part time job
Looks like a chill place to visit, ill add it to my list.
Im 20 and just enlisted in the Air Force. Thinking about moving to Charlotte after my 4 year enlistment to pursue a career in barbering and real estate, and possibly something finance🤷🏾♂️
U just enlisted in air force and already thinking 4 years down the road? Just enjoy your time in air force for now you never know where u will go after that.
zooknut kr Yeah, I know a lot could change, and I do plan on enjoying my time and living in the moment, but I see nothing wrong with thinking and planning ahead by doing things now that can set me up for the future
@Iron Fist if Charlotte is 🗑 then why are so many mfr"s moving here?
I'm a native of this town this place has doubled its population in the last 25 years
@@zooknutt oh
Congrats on the air force, you are extremely smart to be getting ideas and a plan for your future, even so far out! You will go far!
Just visited Charlotte for the first time today and I was blown away with how beautiful the city is. Definitely going to be moving here someday!
Iron Fist I know it’s better than your 💩 attitude
I had no idea Charlotte's skyline looked so gorgeous! I'll have to visit from China. 😍😱
It is stunning least to say
Please don't.
I've been living here for the past year, I'm from D.C. Originally and I love it here!! Queen City Indeed. 😁
Don’t forget about the fastest growing area in Charlotte for business, retail, and housing “South End”!
True & I heard 48 people a day moves in CharlotteNC lol
what do you consider the south end
Just south of Uptown. Go down S. Tryon or South Blvd. You'll see all the high rises and apartments popping up.
@@Jeto704 ok thanks
University to Uptown is catching up.

Wow, great video.

The Carolina Raptor Center is nice as well. I took my nephew back in December.
Charlotte is a really nice city! Although I'm thinking to leave Charlotte someday, I'm really sad to leave but I need change. This is a beautiful video! You did an amazing job! 😭😭😭
Swap with me lol
Nice job on the video. I’ve lived here 20 years and have seen the growth you spoke about. Your video is quite accurate as well. Some either exaggerate the amenities, or show the worst parts. Yours was nicely balanced. Thank you.
Thankyou for the nice words Kraig
Charlotte does got it going on. I was one of those unlucky ones that lost their job in Charlotte during the recession. It's funny you mentioned that because that was a really bad time there. Some of the neighborhoods that have houses for almost 300k now had boarded up windows with plywood during that time period. If you go back you got to eat at Merts heart and soul. The founder was in the Marine Corps and it's probably the best southern food in Charlotte. The cornbread is the best in the world. If you like Italian Open Kitchen is very good too.
Great Job! You hit every aspect and more. Thank you for representing my adopted city in the best possible way.
Thankyou, I appreciate the feedback.
I want to move to Charlotte, NC from Rochester, NY. Thanks for this video. it was very helpful!
yea, I think you'll like it, less restrictions, milder weather, and lower taxes.
I can help you find a house!
We’d love to have you but if you were going to vote far left please don’t bother. The left is already starting to raise taxes the mayor has instituted a no arrest rule for the police officers which include non-offensive crimes they consider assault and battery a non-violent crime
I lived in Charlotte for couple of years and I absolutely loved everything about it. You totally should!
You will love it here. People are nice. Good weather.. I will say it's getting dangerous though but that's the worst part
Undoubtedly the best quality video and city info. Hands down. Keep up the good work. Proud that my city offers great career and entertainment for everyone.
Thankyou for the very nice words.
I love my Beautiful Queen City.. 🌳🛣🌳
Where is Dilworth or Myers Park? No Freedom Park? But they got Clover, SC lol. No shots of Carowinds and no mention of Lake Norman.
We did show Carowinds, but yes should have done Lake Norman.
Great video highlighting many areas and things to do in Charlotte! With that said.. I would implore anyone visiting or moving here to seek better and more local (non-chain) restaurants than the ones shown here.
Agreed. There are so many local gems that are struggling.
I was live in Charlotte 19 years I love big trees
Beautiful! Awesome video! God bless you all real good from Columbus, Ohio! ❤🌻 O how I love Charlotte!

Yep true, especially Miami being on the water, but in NYC you have to pay a heavy price to see that skyline.
@@TampaAerialMedia lol. Yeah. Queens has the Best view of it but Queens has gotten very pricey as well. We'll see how things pan out. What Rich people and poor people stay and leave? How many work from home permanently? Ect ECT?
@@TampaAerialMedia still doesn't touch chicago skyline. Not even close.
Chicago 🤷
@@odell2970 any city could have a bigger skyline but that don't make it better
This really is an excellent video! Best one I’ve seen on Charlotte for sure. One thing I wished you did was talk more about Lake Norman, one of the biggest natural attractions in the Charlotte area.
yep, I do wish we would have done Lake Norman. I didn't realize how big Lake Norman was til we left.
Charlotte!! Love living here..🙋♀️❤️

I didn't even know there was an amusement park in Charlotte. Cool!
If all goes well, this city will be my new home before the year ends.
Carowinds is the go to spot summer time.
Glad to be of help, yea we are planning on filming Raleigh in 2021
I find it funny you dropped a quick arial shot of San Franisco at the :59 marker.
Apparently you didnt hear the narration, because on the video I was talking about Charlotte is just behind SF as the most banking headquarters in the US
How did you miss Lake Norman?
Yep true should have included Lake Norman
Yep
It's in here!!
And Myers Park and Dilworth

Never been to Charlotte, but after viewing this vid, I feel that I have visited Charlotte much better than if I had done it with my car. Thanks for a great video of a wonderful city. Now I can say I went to Charlotte!
And you did have to pay for gas or for a hotel, haha...I'd reccomend visiting there when you get the time. Especially White Water Park
I live here in Charlotte , and the crime rate is 'HIGH '
I moved to Charlotte, last year and I love it..
