- I didn't see anybody upload this cute reuniting scene between Gizmo & Billy so I thought I'd upload it ^^

Come on, let's face it... Who *_hasn't_* wanted a sweet, cuddly, friendly little Mogwai like Gizmo?

In the original script of Gremlins, there was not going to be any "good Gremlin" or at least one that lasted. That would have been a huge mistake. This story needs Gizmo as the cute sympathetic gremlin we can side with and root for.
Yeah they were going to make it a horror film, i'm glad they changed the idea
Well, it still is a horror film, technically. The director, Joe Dante, said he wanted it to be a cross between "It's a Wonderful Life" and Hitchcock's "The Birds." haha!
It's PG for kids to watch but still has that scary theme to it
As an adult now, I find it funny. Adults will probably laugh at it. Not in a bad way, though. I think it's a good movie, the first one. Teens will think it's fun but kinda dark. However, this would probably traumatize most little kids. I watched this once with my eight year old cousin, and he was scared to death.

Seina Kimura WHAT?! If that’s true it’s a stupid idea. Gizmo is the most beloved thing in the movies, and with good reason. Also we’ve seen him kick butt in the past so he’s definitely going to put up a good fight against that.

I like the rules of the mogwis don't get them wet keep them way from the sun and Brite lights and don't feed them after midnight
Sunlight will kill them but just regular light they just don't like
Water will make them multiple
The real danger happens when you feed them after midnight because they first go into cacons and when they hatch they come out as little monsters called gremlins

I first watched the gremlins when I was 10 and to this day I still love it! Even named my cat after Gizmo.
I love the face gizmo makes when he sees billy. And then he says billy.
Ok to clear up a few comments about the sequel, it's not supposed to be scary or to be taken seriously either. This sequel exists is because they begged Joe Dante to make another, paid him, and even gave him full control over the project as well. He wanted it to be corny and entertaining for fans of the first movie and also make fun of it. The original movie was going to be horror, but later it was changed for personal reasons. Honestly, I love both movies but my favorite is Gremlins 2. Also, there are actually written novels on these two films, if you're a hardcore fan of Gremlins, I highly recommend reading them. I own both books and I love them.

Exactly Joe Dante was doing a parody of the original something unique th tis never done and i persnally like this obe better!! its just as exciting and scary but with a smart sense of humor AND billy and gizmo end up together this time so that wins me over right away
I like this movie but I generally hate it when franchises go the self parody route.

Even in the home releases they did a gag with the VHS and DVD versions like they did in the Hulk Hogan scene where he was pulling an Andy Kaufman and wanted the people in the theater to think the film reel had broken.

I'll have to admit: this sequel wasn't as good as the first one, but it did had its moments, including this, the Looney Tunes scenes, and the scene where the gremlins interrupt the screening for this film at a movie theater.

The tone of the sequel is so much more upbeat, its basically a comedy. The first movie was quite dark.
