Sweet! I knew a fellow locally who had a warehouse FULL of Franklin Mint & Corgi. He passed years ago now but I bought most of my diecast through him.😊 I have many gems from his stash, grumpy being 1... The best memories, going over to his place on pay day & rooting through boxes... how much for this, or that!..
@@jcwoodman5285 oh man that would have been great. Well you certainly have some rare pieces of metal in your collection now. Grumpy is pretty heavy hey!! I see they have done even bigger birds, so can imagine how heavy those would be!! Thanks for checking out the video!!
@jcwoodman5285 holy cow man, that's madness. Now I need to find one I can afford. Have you ever thought about doing video reviews? Sounds like you have some awesome models in your collection. Can never have too many people promoting our hobby showing whats out there!!
@heavymetaldiecast I'm more of a model builder now. But I am thinking of doing some scale build videos & maybe in that area show some diecast pieces etc.
them and Carousel produced some great models when they were out, and it's a pity they are not still going as it would be interesting to see how good they would be now
I've actually had that Ju-52 for awhile now, just haven't done it as yet as its a pretty big box, same with a Vulcan I have. I try to avoid being in a video but I think with some of these bigger ones I don't have a choice so I will hopefully keep my appearance as brief as possible, haha
@ You look perfectly fine my man - everyone on the channel loves what you do and does give a hoot what you look like. We’re here for the airplanes!! (And occasional tank 😅)
@@shinra2755 haha thanks mate. Appreciate the kind words!! I bought some new models straight from Corgi during their Black Friday sale. So waiting for them to fly here from the UK....Motorhead He-111 one of them that I'm eager to look at....planes and heavy metal the perfect combo, haha
Now that is one big bird! And they did a B17 I recall! These big models see the need for fitness training for lifting and handling lol! Like the Corgi 1/32 Mossies. Pity about those screw holes and would have liked to have seen some features eg: bomb bay opening and of course, gear up! Though what the stand would have been like is best left to the imagination!
@@peterhewson3216 Yes I sort of thought there would be more features. I have done a couple of Franklin Mint ones now and they all seem the same. Big heavy chunks of metal, but nothing opens, always gear down and not many moving parts. But they are impressive in size and weight I would suggest a car jack for a stand 🤣 It certainly counted as an arm day at the gym when I did this review 🤣. I have looked at the bigger 1/32 Corgi releases, have not bought one yet as they are expensive here. Hopefully as our economy continues to turn to poop people might start selling a little cheaper 🤣. Thanks for dropping past 😀
@@heavymetaldiecast Same here. I only have a few: Spitfire, Hurricane and Mossie. Big to store too. But they do give you the impression of a real airplane rather than a model. Got 2 of them cheap.

@heavymetaldiecast Boy do they! The B17 from Franklin Mint is very HEAVY!
I had to steel reinforce my shelving to display them!😅

Beautiful! I need me a 1/72 B-25. I kinda embarrassed that I don't have one yet
@@jrex9197 1:72 Mitchells are fairly big and this one in 1:48 is massive. You do need a B-25 in your life 🤣. Thanks for watching 😀
Wow, that's a hunk of metal! Nice review!
Yeah this review counted as a workout when I made it,haha. Thanks for watching!!

For sure, and now they are hard to get. I think they would make some awesome models now days, technology has improved a lot!! Thanks for watching!!
Bro, I slowed down the entry to this to check out some of the forthcoming planes and artillery. Cannot wait for that Ju-52 and snowy Stuka!!

Awesome model great details on it , wouldn't like to drop it on my toes 😂
Yeah its not a bad chunk of metal!! Always wear steel cap boots when holding this model for that reason, haha. Thanks for watching!!

Beautiful bird. Not as many MGs as the US version. But it still packs a punch no doubt!
Yeah these definitely had a lot less MG's, thanks for dropping past!!
Waw👏

You can't retract the landing gear? 😢😢😢
No unfortunately this is gear down only!!! Thanks for watching!!
